when I first went to PEC, I was in tons of pain in one eye and was in the next morning as an emergency. Fortunately, they diagnosed and took care of me as I could have lost that eye if I waited too long. They were wonderful. Then came the eye exam for my contacts and glasses. That's when you wait. Takes at least a month to get in, and then prepare to wait at least 20 minutes to be seen. After all that, you wait again for an eye glass person to sell you some frames. I know it would be better and probably cheaper to go somewhere else for frames, but my husband and I prefer the one-stop-shop, so we wait. And wait. And then wait 2+ weeks for your glasses to be ready. They have superior eye care, good personnel, and great product. They also really work with you to help get insurance to pay. You need to decide if it's worth the wait.

Pros: great care, nice frames

Cons: wait and wait and wait

Written in 2006 -- My Dr. was not very thorough and the wait in this office is ridiculous. I had to book my appt a month in advance. I found out that I had a very important exam to take on the same day as my Dr. Appt, but the office refused to be flexible unless I wanted to book out another month. Once I made it to the office for my original appt, I was there much longer than necessary. Then, I needed to schedule a follow up, and NOW, I couldn't get an appt until 5 weeks out. They were not very mindful of the fact that the Dr. wanted me to try a certain trial item and come back, but I was only given 2wks worth of the trial item. If they'd hussle a bit more, they'd be able to get people in and out much faster and be able to book patients in a more timely manner. \r\n\r\n9/15/09 - DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!!! They didn't bill my insurance correctly and I ended up paying out of pocket to get them off my back (I switch jobs by the time they sent me a bill and it was a pain to go back to the other ins. co). Then three yrs later -- THREE YEARS later -- they sent me a bill and threat to go to collections. Someone didn't do their job and credit my account. They said they had a problem with their billing dept and swtiched vendors. You'd think after 3 yrs they'd take my word since this was clearly their problem not mine, but no!
