Great dinner house. It overlooks the Avila Bay. They have wonderful fresh seafood. It is a little pricey but expected to be so. The ambiance is great and even if you are a local you can feel like a tourist!

Good food, nice views, cool tables, terrific seating any where in the restaurant, inside and out. Oh, and great drinks too! :) I thoroughly have enjoyed my times having dinner here!

This Restaurant and Bar is located at the end of the 3rd pier. American cuisine, mostly fresh seafood. Good food nice atmosphere with glass tabletops that let you see the ocean and marine life below you. Very pleasant place for lunch or dinner. You can drive onto the pier, but parking is limited. If you choose not to drive on the Pier it's a nice short and scenic walk from the main parking area.

We use to frequent this establishment 5-10 years ago when I was attending the local university. It was considered one of the favorite local restaurants

Recently we took a trip up the coast and stopped to have dinner at the Old Port. I was happy to see that the decor did not change and the see-through glass tables that provided viewing into the ocean still remained. However I was thoroughly disappointed with our overall experience. Although they still have a descent wine selection, their food has certainly gone down hill. I ordered the ?grilled to perfection? shrimp scallops which were cold and rubbery and had did not taste fresh. My wife had the filet mignon which was extremely chewy and flavorless (except for the greasy bacon wrapped around it). The presentation was pitiful as it looked like the food was just dumped on the plate. For $40 a plate, one would expect more. We couldn?t bear the thought of desert.

It seems these days the Old Porte really focuses on getting in as many tourists as possible, and less on the quality and presentation of their food. If you are planning on going to the Old Port, I encourage you to go for lunch, appetizers, or a glass a wine. Do not spend the money for dinner as there are other restaurants in the area that have equal if not better ambience, and much better food and service.

Pros: Nice Ambience, Great Location

Cons: Lousy Food, Mediocre Service, Bad Value
