While I love the curriculum and the compassionate teachers (5 stars), the infant room does tend to be on the hectic side, especially around feeding time, which is when the teachers should definitely not lose their focus.

My baby was fed a wrong bottle full of someone else's breast milk out of error (1 star). Now this is a BIG deal since breast milk can carry the same pathogens as blood.

All bottles involved were properly labeled according to their standard procedures, with the children's names. They were similar bottles with similar labels (different names and my son's matching bottle was not present that day), so the teacher fed it to my son not thinking that it was the wrong child/bottle.

The office staff has not handled this situation well. The director ensured me over and over again that the other mother (who provided the milk my baby was fed) was a good person (after reminding me that she and I barely know each other). Because of the situation and HIPAA (other mother refuses to get tested for bloodborne pathogens), the only way we can be sure my son is ok and not harmed by this situation is to subject him to blood draws 6 months apart.

Hopefully, changes will be made. Challenge the staff about food policies with the infants if you go there or are investigating going there. See what has been changed because labeling the bottles is apparently not working. I publish this because a month after the occurrence, changes have not been made, and a promise that it won't happen again is not enough. I have challenged the director to make tangible changes.

After asking that she disclose it to the current parents of the babies (it is a safety issue that I feel should be addressed), the director said I could tell whoever I want.

Pros: Curriculum, caring interactive teachers, baby signs

Cons: unorganized, chaotic at times, bad feeding experiences
