I have been coming to this place for many years, even when you were a dingy itsy bisty place in Laguna.\r
If now you are a kiss assing Ripofflican (Republican) joint, you need to annonce it at the door.\r

My husband and I enjoy all types of restaurants and cuisines and frequent various dining establishments on all levels of price range regularly. Last night we had reservations at Javiers in Crystal Cove for a friends surprise birthday

The steak quesadilla is delicious. The decor is really pretty and the atmosphere is great - dim but pleasant. Prices are very reasonable for the big portions.

I went to Javier's on Sunday 6/13/10 at 1pm with my 6 yr. old daughter and a "guy" friend. It was my second visit because I like the food at their establishment. We had purchased soft drinks while waiting to be seated (30-60 min. wait). There was a family of twelve waiting in the large patio area with young children in their group that had got up to be seated. We had sat where they were sitting while we were waiting for our table. Not more than a minute goes by, and this waitress came up and told us rudely that children were not allowed to sit on the large side patio. I explained that there was no where for us to sit with our drinks, and we would be leaving as soon as they seated us. The waitress yelled, "It's Our Policy"! (no exaggeration) She must not received a tip from the last party because she had the crazy eyes. I asked for the manger thinking we could resolve the issue. The manger, Isabelle Cindel, was a bigger female dog in heat (if you know what I mean)... I asked her what her problem was and she responded, "We deal with rude people like you all the time." Now, last time I checked I was suppose to be the customer, and not the other way around. I politely asked to be reimbursed for our drinks, and the manager Isabelle, shoved my money back in my hand. I'm not a violent person, but I really felt like putting her in a headlock. We left and went to this fabulous place further down PCH in Laguna called Las Brisas for their Sunday brunch, with free champagne included. (which was well needed after the Javier experience)

Such a great spot. I love the atmosphere and especially the margaritas! I fell in love with their lobster enchiladas. I could eat here every day of my life, and be very happy =)

Can we say shrimp and lobster enchiladas!! OMG were they good. Great atmosphere with a younger crowd. Drinks flowing and people having fun. Would recommend to anyone looking for some delicious Mexican food with flair. Right across from the Pacific ocean. Just amazing all around

Ok, so this is the 3rd time i've been to a "Javiers" and i still cant get over how busy these places are. My wife loves this place... First time at this location- if your in a party of 2 and your calling for reservations on the weekend, its not going to happen. forget about it, they don't accommodate. First off the hostesses seemed young. When we arrived they asked if we had reservations... so once we got that out of the way, they said that it'd be 1 and 1/2 hour wait. we went to the bar and after about 15 min of waiting for a table to open up in the bar area, we get some drinks. I go back to the front desk and ask how much longer and the blond tells me, "lets see, you just checked in about 14 minutes ago, so you have another hour and nine minutes." All i could think to myself was "oh god.." so i walk back to the table. We decide to put a food order in. in asking about the Lomo Azteca and its creamy sauce.. "oh its great! its done Mohican style!" I knew she meant "Michoacan style" since this is what it said on the menu description, but I pictured Daniel Day-lewis crouching behind a stove in the kitchen.. so after we order, about 10 min later what do you know, our table buzzer goes off! At first i was confused, since it was only 8.5 minutes before when i had asked the hostess how much longer and was told, to the minute, it wasn't going to be anytime soon. Well, there was a table ready but it turns out that if you order food in the bar, you are locked into eating at the bar. so that's all the important stuff. oh, The LOLO Azteca is pork in an Alfredo sauce.. So if this is what your into you would love this dish. over all the food here is way over priced, esp when it boils down to a $23 dollar plate of rice and beans

Javier's is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. The food is absolutely delicious & the service first-rate. Nice atmosphere & a great place for margaritas.

A fun filled family environment, located just one block off the ocean. The food can not be beat and the staff is always friendly. It's a little pricey, but still very good food.

This is my favourite place for Mexican food. They moved from downtown Laguna Beach to Newport Coast. The new place is huge, they have valet service and also an area at the entrance from drinks. Great place for a romantic date.
