Took my fiance here for her b-day. Excellent service and food. We started with the hot crab fondue, which was made with fresh crab meat and lots of it. She had their signature tri-tip and I had the salmon. Both were cooked perfectly and tasted excellent. If you get their tri-tip, make sure you get it medium-rare. On top of that we had a chocolate lava cake for dessert, which really helped sum up the night. The restaurant was not very full when we got there, which made us nervous, but by the time we left, it was packed. This is a definite must-go-to in Napa.

With so many places to eat in Wine Country it's nice to find a consistant quality food restaurant with easy access from the Main Hwy. No corkage on Local Wines.

My girlfriend and I were looking for a nice, quiet place to enjoy a good meal at a decent price and we found the Napa Valley Grille. To begin with, the location was easy to find coming from San Francisco. The place was very nice and quiet, perfect for a little get away from a hectic week. The food was fresh and very flavorful. Our hostess was very accomodating and friendly. It has been one of the best dining experiences we've had by far! We would highly recommend this place and definitely will come back again.

My friend in Los Gatos said that I needed to go into the Napa Valley Grille & have the ribs. Well we just got back & I need to say he was right. I told our waitress how we heard about the ribs & explained the story. Theyre a special breed of pork from before the whole pork its the other white meat campaign. So it still has color, marbling & most important the flavor of what they are supposed to taste like. Also they are brined for three days before cooking. You should have seen these things. They just fell off of the bone, so juicy & tender. I ordered a full rack & took the leftovers back to the hotel for a midnight snack. Yum. They are only on the menu during the summer. What will I do until next year? Im ruined on all other ribs!

What can I say; I was thoroughly impressed with the Napa Valley Grille. My wife & I were in the wine country for our anniversary & we stopped in on Friday night to try a few wines before dinner at Brix (another restaurant). We had such a good time in the bar tasting wines & snacking on the neat little bar menu, that we got half way to Brix & actually turned around & went back to the grille. Not a single thing was over looked in our dining experience. Food, service, and atmosphere it was all delightful. I wish we lived closer, or that we had restaurants like that up here in Spokane. Next time we are in Napa Valley we will defiantly go back! Any one reading this, know that I'm trying to spread the word, youre in for a treat if you dine with these folks.

We stopped here for lunch on our way to the wineries last week. We always talk about stopping here but tend to forget by the time we taste wine so this time we stopped first. It is a warm, comfortable dining room and the patio was bright and open but the food is really the highlight. I had one of their combination plates, with carrot soup, a sandwich and a salad. My friend had the Hamburger - they told us it was a mixture of Kobe steak, NY and filet mignon - it was huge (we shared!!) and had crisp bacon, tomatoes, cheese. The best part may have been the crispy french fires with a special dipping sauce.

My friend and I love crab so we tried the crab melt sandwich mine came with french fries that were very dry and she ordered a half sandwich with soup and salad. She loved her soup. The sandwich was more like a tuna melt very little crab if any. The place and the service was great, but for $14.50 it was'nt worth it.

I really liked this place. It had everything that I was looking for my first night in Napa Valley. A nice wine list, great classic foods and my server was extremely nice. I would definitely recommend visiting.

I reserve Napa Valley Grille for some of the special and not so special events in my life. It is a great place to go for a birthday, or a quiet dinner for two. The atmosphere is moderate, and the lighting dim, a perfect place for dinner conversation or a first date. The food is absolutely wonderful. Their cooks have perfected the art of grilled food. If you enjoy anything grilled, you must go to this Napa Valley restaurant. Located in charming Yountville, after dinner is a place to visit small shops and take in the temperate Wine country air.

It was the big weekend on celebrating our wedding anniversary and we both planned on doing some wine tasting and getting the massages at Calistoga..... We had dinner at the restaurant and we both really enjoyed the food and the restaurants decor. It was the very first time in my life I ate a "Quail Dish," and it was really good and prepared just right. My husband also had the same dish and he also enjoyed it as much as I did. The next time we are around the area we will definitely go to Napa Valley Grille and have dinner and order the "Quail Dish," maybe or try their other dishes.

the wine tasters were drunk (the other reviewer) - this place is GREAT! really, i was impressed with the salmon, and the flavor profile was right on - every course. if you're in napa, this is a great stop on your way home. if you're not, its worth the trip from SF - thats what i did for a B-Day, and needless to say, I am looking forward to my next trip up

And enjoyed the day. We stayed so long we had the chance to check out the dinner menu and its fabulous deserts! Very cozy atmosphere, great waitstaff.

My husband and I loved the food so much we decided to tour the facilities for my sister's upcoming shower...

The banquet manager contacted me prompty - they are handling every detail! VERY IMPRESSED.

After a beautiful day of wine tasting, all we were looking for was a decent meal before heading back home. What we experienced here was undercooked chicken, undercooked fish (both had to be sent back), a boring salad, an appetizer that tasted like it was made of canned tomato juice with espresso-machine foam on top (very strange), and a dessert that was worse than something from the Safeway bakery. There was also a fly buzzing around throughout our meal (indoors). Save your money.
