The immensely popular drag eatery in San Diego has relocated to a new home at 3036 El Cajon Blvd. With a new location comes a new decor. As you enter the new space you will be greeted by 4 giant 14- foot martinis glasses nicely covering the room's four columns along with sparkling fruit garnishes and colorful cocktail umbrellas. The stage in all its gold-framed glory of dramatic lights, guarded by two elaborately dressed leaf-winged female figures, adds to your visual experience. A "typical"night at Lips will include multiple bachelorette parties, several birthdays & more.... Featuring a full bar, & serving the internationally famous Lips' Frozen Cosmopolitan, Lips is a great spot for a pre-show drinks or a late-night laugh. Special weekly events include "Bingo" on Wed., "Dining with The Divas" on Thurs. and "Gospel Brunch" every Sun. (with unlimited champagne and mimosas).
Mediocre, but Expensive Food - Okay...show.

Food is mediocre and expensive...actually, I didn't even like the food, but I ate it cuz I was so hungry... The service was nice though...I felt that they pressured you to buy drinks. Our waitress didn't really leave our table until we would order drinks. The show was entertaining enough...I think there are two shows per evening...but I don't think I'd ever come here again.
Parking sucks...they have a small parking lot, but you are more likely to park on the streets. It is a transgender show, so there are a lot of transgender themes. If you aren't comfortable with that, better not to go...

I had the absolute best time here. The drinks are great, the food is great, the service is great and the show is absolutely hysterical! This is the place that everyone should visit at least one time...with an open mind!

This is a must see! All ages and orientations will LOVE this one. They have great food and a wildly entertaining show. Your in for a surprise if you don't know about it before you get there. It is a drag queen show. My girls and I have been there a few times for the "Gospel Brunch" on Sunday, but they have bingo and a pageants as well. Get ready to laugh and have a good time!

Dinner and Show

This is not your typical dinner and show. I've been here so many times that I've lost count. It's good fun for special "girl" occasions like bachelorette parties and such, but if you include some men in your party you are guaranteed to get more attention for your money. The menu is decent, the drinks are superb and the entertainment is something else. I've been to Bitchy Bingo (Wednesdays) and a few Glmaour Girl (Saturdays) nights. Everytime was fun and its always a different experience. This is defintiely not for the easily embarrased.

This place is so fun. It's good for a girls night. There are a bunch of drag queens dancing around and putting on a dinner show. The food isn't that great, but you're paying for the entertainment.

Funny Show..... very entertaining.
by tismeeh
I went there on a Friday night with a few girlfriends and loved the show! The "girls" were fabulous and some were so pretty too. Very funny show. The food is also not that bad. Not great, but not bad either. However, the dessert was delicious.

Scrutinize your bill.

They try to rip you off. Then they say they fixed it and that they have taken off the tip and they haven't. They are crooks.
The cost for Sunday Brunch is cut and dry. $16 for food and beverages including champange. Less chance for them to rip you off
