This sushi place has an interesting array of rolls. I recommend the warm napkins and a window seat. "Firecracker volcano lava burn your tongue roll" was red fire.

My husband and I like to go to the 6th and Broadway location on Monday evenings to enjoy happy hour. The sushi and sashimi are always fresh and tasty and the price is right. Become a club member and you receive points for every dollar you spend (Monday is double point day!)

I used to have lunch at least once a week at Sonoda's. Be sure to check what sushi's on special. The house salad has a fabulous ginger dressing - a perfect compliment to a tasty avocado roll.

Of the plethora of sushi restaurants in the Denver Metro area, Sonoda's is my first pick for good sushi at a fair price. They have four locations; Park Meadows, LoDo, Aurora, and Broadway. I've been to both the LoDo and Broadway location many times and I've never been unhappy. The one off of 6th and Broadway is a bit roomier and not as busy so it's great if you'd like a more quiet atmosphere, but the sushi at both locations is always fresh and innovative. The pricing is much more reasonable too, compared to the fancy-schmancy sushi places you come across downtown.

I didn't have any complaints. The service was excellent and the sushi was good. I've had better and I've had worse. I'd go back.

Pros: Great service, good food, average price.

Cons: None, really.

Service was fine, but food was horrible! Woke up sick the next morning. So did all my friends. Wouldn't go back if you paid me too

The sushi here is not very good. I don't eat raw fish so I can't comment on the quality of fish. But, every vegetarian and cooked sushi order Ive had here has not been good. The rice is overcooked, and the rolls are below average. The lava roll was doused on spicy mayo and filled with too much cream cheese-too much in fact that I had to push it out of the roll.
The chicken teriyaki was an unimpressive breast of chicken w/teriyaki sauce-and overcooked vegetables. I didn't like the tempura.
Ive eaten here about 6 times only b/c its down the st. from my house.
I wont go here again. Gross.
