We came here for our anniversary and we had a great time. Yes this is a very busy restaurant .....in a small mountain town near red rocks and if it takes an extra minute or two for your server to get to you .....so what? The environment is beautiful and our server never stopped smiling and making us feel comfortable. The food tasted great and the margaritas are fabulous....I can't wait to go back!

Pros: Service-Best Patio in Colorado

Cons: Parking

I was a little skeptical reading other reviews but we wanted to go check it out for ourselves. I'm glad we did as the service was very good and the staff was friendly and courteous. Started off at the bar where the bartender was very entertaining and friendly. We did not have to wait long for a table and the server was right there and checked on us often. The food was very good and had a good presentation. Overall a great dinner.

Cool place, but food was way overpriced for what you get. Both my girlfriend and I felt sick the rest of the night, too much grease most likely. Cocktails were less than average as well.

This is a great location and building and that is about it. I ordered one of the lava bowls which came out flaming hot (a plus), but was greasy and the pork looked like ground beef. The black beans that came on the side had a very weird taste and an odd visual and consistency to them. They looked almost gray. Rice looked and tasted like boxed Rice-A-Roni. Guacamole was bland. Drinks were below average. This place is way overpriced and their claim of being upscale is only substantiated by the prices on their menu. The stomach ache throughout the night and the next morning are enough evidence to avoid returning. Overall, they are trying too hard to be upscale and put a fancy twist to simple authentic dishes. The menu items are best described as a hodge podge of Latin/Hispanic/Mexican dishes. There are several other great options around town for half the price.

Loved dining here for my birthday. Sumptiuous Latin/Spanish cuisine; wonderful atmosphere on a warm summer night. The waterfall room is romantic and a great place to relax with your loved one :)

I love Beso! Great Latin American food, Mojitos to die for. Try the fish tacos, they are unique! And the sweet potato fries with chipotle dip are yummy. The service is prompt and friendly, and the town of Morrison is a fun place to walk around and visit, with all the tourist shops. A great place to go before a concert at Red Rocks. Try the patio on a crisp fall evening; they'll light the gas fireplace, giving the the patio a warm ambiance. As you can see, I'm a fan!

My husband and I were heading to a concert, and what better way to start off a great night than to eat at a restaurant in the scenic town of Morrison. We were driving through and saw this gorgeous patio, so we had to stop. It was about 6:00 and although things looked hectic, we were seated almost immediately. We got our drinks immediately, and our server was very personable. I ordered the Pechuga con Tomatillo, which is a chicken breast topped with a tomatillo sauce and mushrooms- fantastic! It was mexican food with a sophisticated twist. The mojitos were to die for, and my husband's margarita was just as delicious. You simply must try it!

We came out to Morrison for an afternoon of shopping when we noticed Beso De Arte's beautiful
Patio, so we decided to stop in for dinner. When we stopped in, it was around 4:30 and our very polite server said that they didn't start dinner til 5:00 which was fine with us. We shared some delicious guacamole till it was time to order dinner. We had a great time at Beso De Arte even though we had to wait thirty minutes to order dinner. Our server was super nice and we will definatly return!

Outdoor patio is nice. However, the food is awful!! My husband and I went here for our anniversary on 5/25/08. My husband ordered the steak fajitas, the meat was pasty and mushy. I ordered the pork lava bowl it came with pico de gallo over some lettuce, there was probably a teaspoon of the pico de gallo. The black beans were watery and the rice was pasty also. I swear the meat tasted and smelled like it was canned meat. The tortillas were old tasting and to top it off the margaritas were awful and over priced. Not a good way to spend an anniversary. Take my advice save your money, you would be better off at Taco Bell!!

First time I went here summer 07. Great food, great drinks. Not even that expensive, the location is great and everything is very tasty. But, service is slow and unattentive.

Second time, 5/18/08. Sunday night. 5pm. Walked in, got a table, probably half full. Sat at our table for over 10 minutes, yes I was counting. No one came by with waters, no waiter said "be with you in a minute", nothing. Look, if you're busy, that is fine. Just say so. People are very understanding if you are honest with them. But if you expect me to fork over $80 for dinner and make me wait > 10 minutes just for someone to acknowledge I'm there!!? Please....I'll take my $80 somewhere else.

You provide a service that people pay for...try providing it. 1 star for crappy service. 4 stars for good food.

Do NOT go here.

I'd like to voice a huge disappointment in this restaurant, which was recommended by a friend at work. I was told how wonderful and romantic "The Cave" was, so I phoned two months in advance to reserve it for a Valentine's celebration with my girlfriend, Saturday 16th, at 7:00. To start with I had to leave a couple of voicemail messages trying to book the room, that were not returned. I called a third time and was lucky enough that the phone was picked up and I was able to make the reservation.

I was advised to call a couple of days ahead of time to make sure The Cave was warm enough, which I did. Again I left a voicemail message asking to be called back, which was ignored. I called again the next day and left another message. That call wasn't returned either.

I phoned back on the Saturday afternoon and this time the phone was answered. I asked to confirm that The Cave was going to be available for my 7:00 reservation and was told yes.

I arrived with my girlfriend at 7:00 precisely, but when I gave the name and said we had a reservation in The Cave we were told by a young lady that there was no electricity in their and so it wasn't available. We were of course disappointed, but asked if we could be seated in the main restaurant instead. We were told that we could be added to the walk-in waiting list but it would be about 45 minutes. We turned around and drove back to Park Meadows and ate at J Alexanders instead.

Our first Valentine's Day together was messed around, especially after a long drive, we were not happy. I emailed them to complain (since phoning rarely gets through) but of course no-one replied. My recommendation... AVOID THIS PLACE - THEY SIMPLY DON'T CARE.

Pros: No idea... we couldn't even get to eat there!

Cons: Hardly ever pickup phone. Never return voice or email messages. Messed up reservation.

The place is really cute and the ambiance is perfect for the cuisine. We ate on Valentine's day so it wasn't too busy - they really get busy in the summer as they are close to red rocks and they have a killer patio. We shared the appetizer special: poblano hummus with warm flat bread, but they bring chips and salsa. Our server suggested the red or green pork Molcajete. The dish came out bubbling hot in two large lava rock bowl (Molcajete literally translates as mortar). The sauce was flavorful and the pork was tender, it was served with Spanish rice, black beans, lettuce, tomato and guacamole (much like fajitas). The wine list is extensive and appropriate since most of the selections are South American. The Mojitos looked fabulous but better for a warm summer day. We were too stuffed to get dessert. Morrison is not that far away this place is a gem, check it out!

Those who reviewed this restaurant negatively are in the minority I hope!
My wife and I had a great experience - walked in, no rez.
It was pleasant summer evening weather, sat outside, great waterfall, beautiful surrounding, perfect night, service was just great with a charming server, the food is excellent; I had one of the latin "stews" with amazingly-flavorful pork, served in a super-hot lava bowl (be careful), sort of a different take on Carnitas tacos, absolutely de-lish! LOTS of flavor.
They don't have quite enough high-end tequilas on hand there for me (just go to LOLA for that), maybe they'll expand that, but still enough for me to find something to drink:)
Otherwise 2 thumbs up, try it, a cool place!!!

I would love to be able to write a review of the food but my reservation for 4 people was ignored and we were unable to even get a table. 2 of our party arrived ten minutes before the reservation and could not even get a drink at the bar. When we arrived, the hostess informed us that although we had a reservation we were not going to get a table and that we should some where else! A restaurant that is located near a venue like Red Rocks should be able to accommodate a concert-evening crowd. Not going back.

My group made reservations for 4 people FOUR days in advance and the restaurant did not have a table for us. They had our name on the reservation list, but they were so unorganized that the matire d' even suggested we go somewhere else. The reservation was for a Monday night.

Food is a bit above average but better than TEXMEX around town. Thus service really needs to be way above average. That is not the case based on dinner July 14, 2007. Among many shortcomings the check was delivered promptly but before dinner was completed and with no mention if dessert was an option.

I was excited to try this restaurant as there are not many nice dining choices close to home. My husband and I went for lunch, and were sadly disappointed. We were given chips and salsa, and the chips were stale. We each ordered a sandwich ($9 each). We were dismayed when our plates arrived bearing a tiny sandwich and some puffs (better than Cheetos, but not much more exciting). For the price, I expected a better presentation/garnish, and something extra on the side (coleslaw, greens, fruit, etc). I had a mint mojito ($7), which was delicious (although skimpy on alcohol), and my husband had a Golden Margarita ($8), which was tiny and not very good. Our lunch was over $35 (tip not included), and we had to pay $5 for parking - what a disappointment! There is a slight chance that we will give Beso de Arte a chance for dinner, and maybe stop by for drinks on their awesome patio, but we will NEVER go there for lunch again!

This resturant is amazing. The menu has many different unique items on it, and you'll want to go back just so you can try them all. I know that I will. The food is wonderful as well as the service. The patio out back is beautiful and has a great atmosphere. With the fireplace out there and the waterfall that goes over the priviate dining room it's the perfect spot to be to just relax and enjoy the evening. It can be a bit pricey for some, but if you want to have an enjoyable evening or afternoon it is worth it and I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

I can honestly say that this was the absolute worst meal of my life. And it's too bad - the owners of Beso de Arte did a beautiful job on the renovation of the building and patio; it's a shame they didn't apply even a tiny fraction of that attention to the food. No matter how great the surroundings are, it is, after all, a restaurant, and if your food is inedible, then what have you got?

My husband and I came in for lunch and were hoping for a meal that matched the nice surroundings. I had chicken enchiladas - seemed like a safe thing to order. When they came the enchiladas looked as if they'd been sitting under a heat lamp for HOURS - they were topped with a gummy white mucilaginous "sauce" that more closely resembled a bodily excretion than anything you would ever care to see on your plate. My husband didn't fare any better - he ordered a sandwich that for $8.99 was some stringy meat on a tiny dinner roll, and the soup was greasy and lukewarm. At over $30 for two people for an absolutely inedible lunch, Beso de Arte was a big fat bust.

The sea bass is to die for. The Molcajetes (slow simmered pork) are served in hot lava rock bowls and rest of the menu is excellent too. The patio is gorgeous and secluded, the service is friendly and the drinks are a combination of standards and not-so-standards. you can even eat in a private dining room behind a waterfall! Like most Morrison eateries, business is slow in the winter months, but come summer expect to wait for a table, especially in the inside/outside Piranha Room. All in all, one of the best dining experiences I've had in Denver and I can't wait to sip mojitos on the patio come spring.
