I've been coming to this place for years and some of the reviews blew me away. Clearly this person has "personal bias" that they accuse everybody else having! The staff are pleasant and joke with you. The sarcasm is nice and reminds me

I absolutely love this place. Have been here quite a few times and have never had anything less than a fantastic evening. For a lady who really digs cigars the smell and well as enjoying one now and again, this is the best spot for it.

One of the best places in South Denver to hang out and chill with a good drink and a nice smoke. The attached Cigar Store (Stogies and Bogeys) Has good selection of cigars, prices or not the cheapest in town but not unreasonable either.

The places you need to be wary of the most are the ones with mostly "stellar" reviews and a few VERY BAD ONES! This place takes the cake!

Take it from me, I have given it more than literally a dozen chances because I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, and honestly it lulls you in with a false sense of security.

I thought I would love this place, I guess the reviews and the cigar thing made me believe that. Do not get me wrong, I went there at first thinking the five stars was legit.

The staff are a joke! A couple (I mean 2!) clearly care about each and every customer. I feel sorry for them picking up the slack when they could be doing better. The others are absolutely horrid! They could care less about certain people. Their service is beyond snooty and passive aggressive, if you call them an error, expect to be there 15 minutes longer than you wanted to be to fix it.

Their beer selection is really bad even if you like bottles, and not as upscale as one would hope if you are a beer snob. Their prices are awful, and the only saving grace being big martinis at a reasonable price.

You will often wonder why you are waiting forever and have others around you served first by their passive aggressive male bartender. If your giant martini is missing olives or needs a little work, it will be warm by the time he gets back to you.

The biggest problem is they are inconsistent with customers and it seems they genuinly think that only a few matter. The prices are too high, the service is too bad and there is really nothing other than maybe your friends go here a lot to keep you coming back. They attract a crowd that favors "snob appeal" and are simply to complacent in the business they have to realize that no business model is sustainable.

Lets be honest, I am a cigar lover and I can tell their business would plummet if the smoking ban was lifted.

The other reviews on here that are favorable are not well thought out or written or take into account anything but personal bias.

After a dozen times actually going here and labeling what is good about the place, I can tell you that they are clueless to the fact that anyone matters but the five star type on here and thats all they care about. I have never been to a place so snooty that I can see the writing on the walls, unless they shape up, the fickle crowd are not going to stay impressed with the place because it just doesnt live up to its potential. Why? Because it is lulled into a false sense of its own accomplishments. It is a narcissistic snooty place to go, and it can only fool people for so long.

Pros: They dont screw you on the Cigars

Cons: Trite atmosphere, Jerky Staff, and more in the details!

.

Awesome spot! Makes downtown look like amatuer hour. This spot is sophisticated without being stuffy. Staff and customers are all attractive and friendly. Just moved to the area and I've been telling all of my co-workers (apparently I was the only one who hadn't heard about The Robusto Room). Big Fan. Period.

If you enjoy tobacco and like the comfortable social atmosphere you will love the Robusto Room. The smoke shop staff are professional and knowledgeable and the bar staff are friendly and allways have the best service. This is a bar I frequent for a reason, It is the best cigar bar around!

By far my favorite spot in Denver to come kick back after work. Owner Peter Roth and his staff always go the extra mile to make you feel taken care of and at home. Classy place with classy people. Their brand new ionizing air filtration system kicks butt. and it's the only cigar joint I've been to that doesn't make me want to burn my clothes when I get home. ***** / *****

Pros: Close to DTC and close to home!

Come for the Drinks, come for the smoles, and come for both because you can do bothe at this spot, but most of all come for the people! This atmosphere has something for everyone and honestly you couldn't ask for a better crowd: women, grab a drink and cut loose to the music and the scene; guys, be a man, grab a drink and find a good cigar!

Pros: Great staff, cigars, and drinks!

Better than anything downtown, this lounge is the perfect blend of chic club and neighborhood bar. The staff is hot and very nice and the prices are very fair for the atmosphere. The day crowd is an upscale cigar crowd and the night crowd is late 20s to 30s blend of hipsters. The DJs on most nights are very good and Karaoke on Monday is always busy and really fun. Plus you can still smoke here!

5 STARS FOR SURE

Friendly, hip clientele. Cute bartender & waitresses. Great cigars. One of the BEST KARAOKE SPOTS in south Denver!!! Great spot for a night out with friends or just to stop in for a quick drink before catching a movie right across the way.

I frequent many of Denver's lounge hot spots and have to say that the Robusto Room is many levels above par in town. A combination of the staff, owners, great prices and smoke eaters (which keep the air clean), the Robusto Room has a strong lead on anyone in town. I highly recommend going there on a Wednesday or Friday. Arrive early so you can get a couch for you and your friends.

They have an excellent selection of cigars with a very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Everyone is easygoing and very pleasant. The decor and ambiance are hip and modern. The parking is sufficient and FREE (which is always a bonus considering Cherry Creek and Downtown aren't). I love their special events like the cigar tasting events (which also includes either a free Scotch sampling or some other drink that's paired w/ the cigar of the night). While I don't mind the music selection the DJs spin, I sure do miss the live bands (which ranged from jazz, to blues and ska). Great place to kick back w/ a cigar and drink ... especially on the patio in the summer!

Very few nice places in Denver to relax with a cigar and good drink. Good humidor, scotch selection and the staff are cool. We like to go early for an after-work cigar. Gets lively and fun at night too.

The advertisement doesn't lie on this one. Easily one of the best Southbound Martini and Cigar bars, especially if you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of downtown traffic, parking, etc. Good cigar selection, great music, and the martini's are awesome!

So, I usually go out of town to visit with my girlfriends and "go out". This time, my best friend was headed up here and since we weren't exactly wanting the club scene, I wasn't sure where to go! We DID however, want club music and seeing the previous reviews about this place I decided to give it a go.
I loved the music, the DJ was fantastic. Everything he played was exactly what I wanted to hear and didn't know it - haha. It was loud, but not too loud - I could still hear what my friends were saying.
The atmoshphere was wonderful, the lighting great, the seating very social. It was small and cramped, which sucked, but what are you gonna do - they did the best with what they had. Our waitress was such a sweetpea!
My only real gripes were not enough people, not a good range of people and not clearly marked. I think if we could get the word out about it, it would be close to perfect!

If you like cigars and LOUD club music this would be a fantastic place....Unfortunately my wife and I were looking for a quiet, intimate atmosphere after dinner at Morton's to bask in the victory of closing a huge deal. Being from Seattle we were not familiar with any cigar bars and relied on the advice of the hotel desk clerk. Anyhow...were I 20 years younger, I probably would have been quite comfortable. As it was not what we were looking for, we went for a nice walk and enjoyed an Acid, Kuba Kuba. Nice place, decent cigar selection....turn that racket down!....Oh crap...I've turned into my dad.

Went on a Friday night around 10. Staff and service very good and amiable. Had a decent, though not real fresh, Montecristo cigar. Music was very loud and hip hop. Place was not smoky at all despite my puffing away (and others). I was hoping for better music. If you like loud hip hop, this is your place, at least at 10 on a Friday night. I went because I liked what I read about the owner's passion for live music and jazz. It had more of a hip hop feel than anything else. That was disappointing. Might try it again another night, though doubtful.

Unfortunately, the live band part no longer exists. They only have DJs there now. The eclectic energy is virtually gone. The place used to be packed with an eclectic group of people (rare in suburban Denver). Last time I was there, the place was half empty. I passed by it on the way out of the movies around 9:00 pm and the place was dead. That was not the case a year ago.

I miss the ska bands and the jazz bands that performed there. It was a lot of fun. Unless you like nondescripted techno, cigars and martinis you will not like this place. I can go to any nondescripted yuppie bar in south suburban and get the same affect.

What I missed about this bar was its uniqueness. South Denver in general can lack diverse and eclectic nightlife. The change of this place is a great loss.

Let me by saying that I LOVE THIS PLACE! The bar is gorgeous, with a great vibe unlike any other place
I've been (including downtown). The live music is always unique and impressive and the DJs are some of
the best I've ever heard (and I'm from LA). The cigar room is fun with a relaxed atmosphere while the
bar is more high energy. For a younger crowd go on Wednesday for their ladies night and for a more mixed
crowd go on saturday. The place isn't smokey at all and I'm there quite a bit (although I recall it was
smokey a few months ago before they did some air revamping). THIS PLACE ROCKS!

Wanted to try this place with a friend for a glass of wine but couldn't get passed all the smokey smell of the place. Walked thru the front door - turned around and back out again...can't comment on anything other then that...there are so many other wine bars that are smoke free that there no need to suffer the bad air in this one. I'm actually disappointed - really wanted to check it out! Probably a great place for the crowd that is okay with the smell of smoke.

This place is truly unique. It has an awesome happy hour (2 for 1 !) the best jazz I've seen (beats Dazzle and El Chapultepec) and it's privately owned, and the owners are always there to chat. I love this place!!! I've brought all of my friends here and they all agree too!
