I would not go anywhere else!!
I have worn glasses and contact lenses for as long as I can remember. When I moved to Colorado 6 years ago my coworker suggested I come to this office for my eye exams. The office building is located in a very old neighborhood but the office itself is nice and very clean. Cleanliness is very important! The office has a small staff that is always very knowledgeable about my insurance benefits and its always nice to see the same gals every year.
I usually see a different doctor each visit mainly because my schedule is so complicated .The staff is great! Katheryn helped me pick out my frames and I have never loved a pair of glasses so much. When ever I have ordered my contact lenses they were available the next day, although it usually takes me a couple of weeks to pick them up.
The customer service has never disappointed me, but during my last visit the customer service was exceptional. I had ordered my contact lenses and as always they were ready the next day but I could not get off work before the center closed and I was going on vacation the next day. (I know, I am very last minute) Katheryn hand delivered my contact lenses to my office. I was amazed because you just don't see that kind of service anymore from any business. I highly recommend Amercian Vision Center In Denver.

This is the worst vision center I have been to! It has been 2 1/2 months since my first visit with them and I still don't have the contacts I ordered and paid for. To be fair, this whole saga took place during the holidays but after my last contact check a month ago they told me they would call me when my contacts arrived and I am still waiting for that call.

My first appointment was with the aforementioned Dr. T who was seriously creepy and unprofessional. I also was lectured about nutrition and homeopathic medicine. At one point he told me that my quality of life would be poor until a naturopath started treating me.

The second doctor I saw was better but was old fashioned. He wouldn't let me take out my own contacts and managed to scratch my eye while he fumbled about to get the contact out.

There is nothing good about this office; the doctors are bad, the staff is incompetent, the actual office is disgusting. If you have any choice, go somewhere else.

I visited this office for my final lasik follow-up exam, which was part of the lasik exam payment of $4,000. I set-up the visit as my "lasik follow-up" and I thought that was the service I was provided. Then three months later I got a bill for an "annual exam" that cost over $400.

I was never asked if I wanted an "annual exam", I was never told that services they were giving me were outside of my lasik total that I already paid.

When I argued the charges the doctor apologized for the misunderstanding and said he would waive the charges. Turns out he ONLY waived my $40 co-pay and he still collected over $400 from my insurance company!!

I have been to American Vision Center twice now, the first visit was wonderful. The doctor I saw was prompt, professional and thorough. The lenses were ordered quickly and efficiently.

However, the second visit was scheduled with another doctor, without my knowledge of there being more than one or consent to see another doctor. Dr. T, whom I saw the second time, was thorough, though slow and at times unprofessional. He discussed nutrition and other items, such as exercise, that I felt were inappropriate at an eye exam. As a healthy, 27 year old woman I found these topics inappropriate especially since they extended the time of the exam past the hour I had paid for on the parking meter. He then ordered me a trial lens, which they did not have in stock. At the end of the appointment, I was told I still had to pay to order a complete set of the trial lenses (which I had not yet tried). Overall, the second visit was disappointing and I will not be visiting this center again. If you do choose to use this center, I recommend avoiding Dr. T.

I've been going to American Vision Center for over 10 years now. This is an old-fashioned, neighborhood vision store, where you get an exam, pick out your glasses (great selection and inexpensive as well), and you come back a week later to pick them up.

I have a really difficult prescription to fill and American Vision Center has never once made a mistake in my glasses (compared to mall stores where I've had to return 5 or 6 times due to flaws in the glass). They always remember me and keep up to date on my insurance, so that's never a hassle. There is very little waiting time when seeing the doctor or getting glasses adjusted. The optical staff is very experienced and VERY helpful and makes suggestions about the level of tint in the glasses, new tints available, etc.

Another great thing is that they have a sale section of glasses frames as well as a nice selection of kids, funky frames, and my usual business-style frames. It's a great find and they are open on Saturday mornings as well, making it easier to get in.

Very highly recommended!
