These folks make some of the best Mexican Food. We always get something that's smothered in their green chili as it rocks!
4Want a meal that will blast out your end at the speed of light? Made the mistake TWICE (I've learned, now) of eating at Old Curtis. The green chile is watery, the cheese is bland and greasy (cheap), and the food is essentially flat. Ground beef in everything -- is that how they do it in Mexico?
The Margaritas and Coronas are cheap, bartender didn't know how to make a Martini. Go, drink beer, eat stale chips and call it a day.

Pros: Cheap
Cons: Watery, icky shredded lettuce, bland cheese, flavorless
Terrible! The green chile was disgusting (it tasted like what I imagine dirty dish water would taste like!) Ick! And my bread was rubbery - stale perhaps?! We won't be back.

I love Curtis Street-it's right in the middle of everything, but no one really knows about it. I would always take friends here for lunch, after ball games, after bar-hopping. Their green chile and salsa are to DIE for! Their cooks are really from Mexico (not like Rio Grande) so they know what they're doing. Their food is quick and hot and CHEAP. You can eat a great meal here for around $5. The atmosphere is more like an old diner. It's very much a neighborhood bar...very friendly to locals and newbies. That's what's good about Curtis Street...it's not some corporate theme park restaurant (which is all you can find lately in downtown Denver??). I live in Houston now, and I still recommend people to visit Curtis Street!

Pros: inexpensive, friendly staff, tasty food
Cons: bad parking, bad neighborhood
