I can't even say this is the worst repair service I ever received because I got no service whatsoever. Unfortunately citysearch requires a rating so I had to give him one star altho this vastly exceeds my experience at this shop. Dropped off my digital camera at 1445 S Broadway for repairs on 9/9 and told the older gentleman that I was leaving on a trip on October 10 and had to have my camera by then. I thought 30 days would be more than ample time and he said it would not be a problem. He stapled the claim stub to the camera strap and set it on his desk. When I hadn't heard ANYthing by 9/21, I drove to the store only to find a notice saying "We will be gone 9/20-9/22." When I tried to leave a phone message I got an even more irritating recording telling me that the store would be closed from August 1 to August 10, 2010. That's right, a message on a business phone that hadn't been updated for more than a month -and-a-half! I stopped by again in person on 9/23 and the same older gentleman told me that he was waiting for parts and he would call me that afternoon. I asked him to check on it as I really needed to know what was going on. He picked up the camera from the exact same spot he had left it two weeks earlier and disappeared into a back office. I walked right in and asked what parts he was waiting for and he said, "Not parts, I'm looking for a lens to test your camera, see if the repair is to the camera or lens." In addition to alleged camera repairs this is a used camera shop and there are hundreds of lenses everywhere you look! Yet it took him fourteen days to find one to test my camera. He put on the replacement lens, clicked a couple of times and announced, "It's the lens that's not working. I'm sure I have a lens here I can sell you." No discussion about repairing my lens, or if it was even possible. I told him I wanted to take the camera and asked if there was any charge for the "service" he had provided. Thankfully for both of us he said no. As I walked out I felt like I had liberated my camera from a hostage situation.

The almost total lack of communication from Jerry's and its employs led to long lead times, where one of the items wasn't even repaired - it was actually returned in a worse condition than when it was taken in.

Pros: nothing

Cons: everything

You can read my longer review at yelp. Citysearch only allows 2000 characters and that's not enough to describe the situation.

But in as few words as possible here is my review:
This is definitely the worst repair experience that I can remember from all my repairs.
