My hour long consultation turned into a three and a half hour long appointment. The office staff not only took forever but were rude. One of the worst doctor office experiences I have ever had.

Icon Lasik has absolutely the worst customer service I have experienced anywhere--including the airport. My one-hour consultation can be broken down as follows:
1. 35 minutes of waiting for the doctor.
2. 3-4 re-dos of the crappy machinery that wasn't working.
3. Incompetent nurses who did not sterilize the machinery (when they did remember they used kleenex instead of, say, something sterile, and then left the equipment on counters where it had sat when it was dirty.)
4. 20 more minutes of waiting for the doctor.
5. The doctor, who did not explain anything, or ask me what my concerns were or even what my name was. We discussed different kinds of surgery, but he was unclear about what the differences were, and when I asked for his recommendation, he coudn't tell me which he thought was best. He gave me an eye exam, in which he was never able to get me to my full prescription anyway (I still couldn't see the letters.) I told him this, but for some reason he seemed unconcerned. Then he dialated my eyes, with about seven drops per eye, and sent me to a waiting room with an entire wall of windows to "wait for me to dialate."
5. 20 more minutes of waiting for the doctor. After it took about 15 seconds for my pupils to become the size of watermelons, I got up and asked a nurse if I should go back. She said the doctor was with someone else. On my appointment time. When my appointment was supposed to have been over already. So I sat there for the remainder of the time, covering my eyes against the pain.
6. I finally was led back into the exam room, now nauscious because, it turns out, you're not supposed to walk around too much when you can't focus your eyes.
7. I finished the exam, and continued to ask questions which were poorly answered. I then learned that the doctor thought I had a 20% chance of not being corrected to my best correctible perscription, which was to be 20/40, even with multiple procedures. If this were to happen, then there would be no money-back guarantee of any kind.
8. I got out of the appointment, and waited 20 more minutes for the receptionist to get off the phone and give me my info and parking validation tickets.
9. Almost three hours after we arrived, my sister pays for parking (not enough tickets) and we leave. An additional two and a half hours later, my eyes go back to normal.

Never go to Icon lasik.

Icon LASIK is a top notch lasik center located in Denver. They performed LASIK on my brothers and in-laws eyes as well. All of us our super happy. I highly recommended Icon. I had my first appointment then had the surgery the following day. It worked out well. I went climbing the next day and felt pretty good. It took about two weeks to feel totally awesome. Way better than using contacts. I was spending so much on lenses, glasses, etc that I think I actually will save money fairly quick by getting the surgery and it's way better than wearing contacts. Pretty cool. Full disclosure - I've done work for Icon in the past so I know they are great docs and staff! I def recommend setting up a consultation to check out Icon for yourself.

I can't tell you how happy I am that I had lasik at Icon. I started looking for laser surgery because I scuba dive and really needed to get rid of my contacts. I went to four clinics before I got a consultation at Icon (which was free btw). I am sure glad that I found icon because it saved me about $2000 and my vision turned out perfect. It's so much easier to go diving, skiing, and even just waking up in the morning and not having to worry about contacts. A+. I highly recommend checking out Icon LASIK in Denver.

Awesome! Now I can actually see! Best decision was going to Icon LASIK.

Icon LASIK enabled me to actually see. I went from 20/200 to 20/20 and you have no idea what kind of improvement that is. It's like having your windshield coated with mud then cleaning it off completely. Having perfect vision makes everything easier from snowboarding to working in the garage. I love it.

It only cost met about $500 an eye and I was spending that on contacts and cleaning stuff. Now I don't have to buy any of that stuff.

1. SUMMARY: I had a great experience at Icon LASIK. The surgery was great, the outcome was fantastic, and the price was affordable. Can't beat that.
2. The pre lasik consultation was very thorough.
3. They answered all of my questions and even ones I didn't know I had.
4. I went to four different clinics to get a consultation and wasn't impressed by any of the others...plus....
5. The price was way way lower at Icon LASIK. and as far as I can tell it was the same laser that the other clinics were saying was better than what icon uses.
6. I turned out better than 20/20. I love it!! No more contacts, no more dry eyes, can't wait for tele season.

I've been to this practice for contact lenses and eyeglasses but not surgery. They did tell me I was a good candidate. Their waiting area is always busy. The staff was very nice and I required many visits to get used to my contacts. They worked with me on those times and also took my insurance.
