Great thai food, the best I've had in Denver. I don't know what the other reviewers (haters) are talking about. Great waitstaff.

There are tables and chairs inside, but really, this is takeout Thai. And it's pretty good, all things considered. They'll customize your dish any way you like, which is nice for those of us that love Pad Thai but don't want (or can't eat) the shrimp that usually comes on top. Vegan/gluten-free/etc., all have options here.

Maybe I??m just a Thai snob now, but I wasn??t completely fulfilled with my experience. I suppose I expected an experience when I walked in, and I left with just a to-go meal. Not just a meal, a meal that inexplicably did not include the Mango Sticky Rice that I so direly desired, paid for, and discovered missing when I got home.

The food itself was good. I ordered the Pud Thai. The portion was a good size, but the price was a bit higher than the quality dictated. I did like the ??extra spicy?. It left me with a slight buzz on my lips.

Would I go again? If somebody invited me, surely I would. If I were driving down Alameda and wanted food, I??d probably stop at Chipotle before I would go to Swing Thai.

The food was good, but the treat of the trip was how easy it was to order. All menu items were very clearly labeled for alternative eating styles - gluten-free, vegetarian, etc. Restaurants could take a lesson on menu usability from Swing Thai.

The food wasn't that great and it was very pricey! I ordered the green curry with tofu and I couldn't even finish mine it was so bad. The friend I was with ordered the kid's noodle plate, and he was served plain rice noodles with a side of chicken satay. He loved the satay, but didn't touch the rest. It was a waste of $25 (yes - for one adult plate and one kids plate!) Make the trek to Khow Thai on Broadway in Boulder! It's much, much better (and less expensive).

Pros: convenient location

Cons: the service was fair, but the food, price and value were subpar

Expensive, small portions, and the food is just okay. Want brown rice? They charge EXTRA for that! What a total ripoff! Avoid it!!!

I am an avid Thai food enthusiast. I remember first going to Swing Thai when it was a takeout type of place with decent prices-no linen napkins or waiters. How times have changed. The portions of small and the food, well....YUCK. The Pad Thai tastes like the traditional Tamarind and Fish sauce have been traded in for a ketchup (it does happen--guess to be friendly to the western palate) sweet red sauce. EEEK! Swing Thai!! Avoid it....not worth the almost $10 for Pad Thai

We went to Swing Thai today. We could not even get to the food part...so I do not know what to say about the food. I have read mixed reviews though. Here is what happened and never in my life have I or the people with me experienced this...We sat down and went through the menu. When the server came to take our order I looked at the menu and was trying to read the half a dozen words long dish names. I ordered one (i think some eggplant dish) and he asked - what kind of meat. I said No meat and looked at the menu and said just tofu. At the same time he started naming the meats (I am not sure why). I looked down again at the menu to see if this dish came without or with meat. (it came by default with Tofu and veggies the meat/shrimp were add-ons) . Right then the server said to me and i quote " Hey! Look at me when I am talking !!"

We were speechless. The gentleman in our group said where is your manager - and told him what had happened. The "manager" just smiled and laughed and nodded his head !!!!!! Obviously we all walked out.

Needless to say we are NEVER going there.

The service here is so slow, I have been here twice and both times slow as a snail. The food is okay but is very over priced for the small not so great portions.

We've been long time satisfied customers of Swing Thai. On New Years Day we stopped for dinner and I walked off leaving my brand new, expensive glasses (I typically use $11.99 Target glasses but had recently relented and sprung for a decent pair.) We live 50 miles away and I did not discover the glasses were missing until we got home. I called immediately and was told the waitress had found the glasses and they would keep them for me. I explained that the glasses were new, had very expensive lenses, and were easily scratched. The woman I talked to said they would take special care of them. The following friday we stopped for dinner and to pick up the glasses, but they were missing. To make a long story short, I asked if they'd be willing to split the co-pay for a new pair (since I did make the mistake of leaving them) but they sent me a check of the total co-pay amount. I'll figure out some way to repay their generosity but in the meantime my vote: Good food, attentive service, and customer considerate. doug

This restaurant confirmed my theory that Denver does not have one sigle great Thai restaurant. If they did it might be just ONE, but I haven't found it yet. I am pretty bitter now because my Thai food experiences here have been sub-par. Obviously Thai people own these restaurants so why can't they make authentic Thai food? We need more Thai people opening up really good restaurants-to put these out of business. YUCK!

For a fast food approach to Thai food, hats off to Swing Thai. The food is absolutely incredible! When you are in a hurry, it is great to stop in and get your food in a "Carl's Jr." fashion. The food is so good for the reasonable price that the service sacrifice is worth it. I look forward to eatting at Swing Thai again VERY SOON!

Pros: Excellent reasonably priced food with a nice Feng Shui ambience. FAST!

Cons: No parking and fast food ordering.

Its unfortunate that Swing Thai recently switched to sit-down service. The food is still good but my last three visits have left my drinks dry (while eating spicy food) and waiting way too long for food and the check. At my last visit, lunch took 1.5 hours.

I long for the days when Swing Thai didnt try to squeeze a tip out of me and allowed me to pay at the counter and get my own drinks.

I visited the Colorado Blvd location. I love the atmosphere...We had very courteous wait staff. The Sweet & Sour Chicken (Hot) was amazing. I can't wait to go back. It was a very enjoyable Lunch and I would highly recommend it.

It's so good. I eat it atleast once a week. Sometimes it comes hot sometimes it comes really hot, but either way the stuff is good. If you want the 2nd best then go down to Tommy's on Colfax and don't forget to go get a beer at Goosetown!

I think it's funny that so many people say the food here doesn't taste "Thai." I don't know how it compares to the food at other Thai restaurants in Denver, but I know how it compares to the food in Thailand. The food tastes "Thai" and it's great! Good pricing, too. A convenient place to eat and a good value. It's our favorite place for delivery.

The food here does not taste thai. It is a creation of something else. I have been here several times, but the food comes out different every time I order. There is a lack in consistancy. The satay chicken was completely undercooked and still pink. The people that work here give VERY VERY bad customer service. The girls are very snobby. They will treat you like crap if you complain about the food or make suggestions. It is not worth coming here. The prices are high for the quality you get. They serve very small portions.

I have been going to swing thai since they opened their first restaurant on Pennsylvania 5 years ago. I've lived in Thailand and love Thai food. After my last three visits, I can safely say that any negative comments are unfounded. The food was scrumptuous!!! Go for the beef salad and then a spicy yellow or red curry. Their Pud Thai is the best in Denver, but I also love their drunken noodles. To top it all, I like the feeling of the place. While far from authentic Thai decor, it's attractive, clean and feels fun.

I have had a variety of Thai food in the past... varying degrees of authenticity and I would have to say this barely resembled any Thai food I have ever had. The food wasnt bad in that it was fresh and an interesting blend of spices but it was more like Chinese food... which could be explained by the almost all Chinese staff. Dont order the HOT level because even though I like hot food.. it was WAY too hot! Fried rice is good. Beef and pepper was not. If you arent looking for Thai food.. check this place out.
