Excellent Drunken Chicken Noodles and menu

by Alicia D.

Best delivery for Chinese food in the downtown Denver area. Our office orders from Wok Uptown at least once or twice a week and the whole company loves their food. The Wok uses huge shrimp, flank steak and fresh tender vegetables. I love their Shrimp with Asparagus and my ultimate favorite dish is their mouth-watering Drunken Chicken. Juicy, marinated pieces of chicken stir fried with a spicy Mai sauce, fresh thai basil, onions, carrots, bean sprouts and broad rice noodles. Try them, you'll like it.

Incredible Chinese food..best Sesame Chicken and Mongolian Beef!

by Beverly K.

I must admit that I've been eating at Wok Uptown for over 4 years and find their Chinese food to be the best in Denver. I've tried other places but nothing compares to their freshness and tastiness of each dish.

They have a quaint small dining room and I'll get take-out once in a while. I really prefer delivery since it's fast and so convenient. My personal favorite is their Mongolian Beef and Sesame Chicken....hits the spot everytime. I tell everyone I know to order from Wok Uptown.

They offer some Thai dishes and my friend really enjoys their Chicken Pad Thai. The Green Thai Curry with Chicken is a wonderful blend of spices, veggies and amazing flavors. I like it really spicy with brown rice. Delicious!

Amazing Drunken Chicken Noodles!

by Kaye T.

Great food, awesome service.

After moving from New York, I was on a quest for some delicious Chinese or Asian food. My good friend and I went to several Chinese restaurants in Denver....the best one was Wok Uptown Asian Cuisine.

I was really craving this one Thai noodle dish called Drunken Chicken. Their version was perfect....stir-fried with sliced chicken breast, broad rice noodles, fresh thai basil, red chili pepper, onions and bean sprouts...yummy! My friend loved their Orange Chicken with brown rice.

Their dining room was small but cozy and clean. The service is what stands out the most. Friendly, smiling and helpful staff. They will make special accomadations and offer gluten free, vegetarian dishes as well.

This place delivers, too....a true gem.

Friendly service, great Asian food!

by Theresa H.

I usually go to Wok Uptown in Denver for some tasty Chinese food like Mongolian Beef or Orange Chicken. They always delight me with their delicious and high quality dishes for over 2 years. I eat there on a weekly basis with my friends.

So when I saw they had added Thai Curry to their menu, I had to try it. I ordered the Jade Green Curry with Chicken..medium spicy..with brown rice. It was soooo good. Chicken was white meat, juicy and tender..the curry was just perfectly spicy with a good amount of fresh veggies. I encourage everyone to try their Thai curries...some of the best around town!

Love this cute little place. The food is so good..I ate there three times in one week. Their Sacha Chicken is to die for. Everytime I eat there, I feel good because I know they don't use MSG and just the best ingredients. I will be coming back for more great Chinese food.

Nothing but OUTSTANDING!

by Anonymous

I have lived in Denver (Uptown area) for 5 years and Wok Uptown is hands down the best asian food I have had in Denver.

The lemongrass chicken is outstanding and the shrimp lo mein is wonderful. The eggrolls are light and flaky and simply delicious. Every dish is packed with veggies and meat and it is always piping hot. And you get a lot for your money. Love that.

Also, the people who work there are so friendly and so nice, they treat me like an old friend when I am there, even though I know they have no idea who I am. Love that too. Really, it makes a difference.

I can't say enough about this place!

Great taste, huge portions and nice staff.

by Katie H.

The food at Wok Uptown is probably the best tasting Chinese food in Denver. Hands down. I have eaten at a lot of Asian and Chinese restaurants around Colorado and found that Wok Uptown beats them all by their high quality food and service. After eating there for more than a year, I refuse to eat anywhere else.

I really do enjoy eating at Wok Uptown and have been a loyal customer for 3 years. First, they have the best Chicken Dumplings and Crab Cheese Wontons around. Second, I find their food to be ultra fresh and delicious everytime I've ordered from them. Third, their staff are friendly and fast.

My favorite dishes are Sesame Chicken and Sacha Chicken ( a wonderful stir fry in an Asian Chili sauce with sliced chicken breast and assorted vegetables. Medium Spicy. I highly recommend them to everyone!

Horrible Horrible Customer Service

by Amber C

My boyfriend and I have been ordering from this place for over 3 years and never really had a problem but we ordered from them last night and had the WORST customer service ever!!!!!!!! They brought us our delivery and it was missing on entr?e so we called them to tell them and they pretty much told us it was our fault and that we should have them and said it was our fault because we had 3 sep orders so that was what we got!!!!! Then I asked them when they could bring me my order and they said they did not know because they could not talk to the driver and they could not do anything about it and never so sorry at all!!!!! So then we cancelled the order and again they said it was our fault.

We will never order from here again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pros: Sometimes good food

Cons: Horrible Horrible Customer Service (one star for the food)

Best Chinese Food Delivery in Denver

by glennshelster

Wok Uptown always arrives fresh and within about 45 minutes after I placed the order. Sure, when it snows or there's a Rockies game going on..it might be around an hour but that is expected. I find the staff to be friendly and helpful. But above all, I love their food. they make my beef with broccoli with flank steak and fresh broccoli. I love their steamed jasmine rice that comes with it. A great Chinese Restaurant to eat at.

Pros: Great food and staff

Cons: None!

After repeatedly being unsatisfied with other Chinese eateries, Wok Uptown came into my life and quelched that hunger finally. The crab cheese wontons was just incredible with their house made sweet and sour sauce. Everybody, go to Wok Uptown!

Tasty Gourmet Chinese Food!

by lightmyfire

At Wok Uptown in Denver, you get a whole lotta food for your bucks. Around lunch, it's about 8 dollars for a big ole plate and I had to get a to go box. It was almost like 2 meals in 1. Dinner is around 10 dollars and you get a lot of food, too. I think it was a great value even if it's a couple of dollars more than your regular Chinese restaurant. The high quality and well prepared food was more than worth it. The Shrimp lo mein and Sesame Tofu was just awesome! Now I know why they have such a strong devoted customer base.

Pros: Excellent food, huge portions and great value. Clean and modern.

Cons: None!!

Some of the best Chinese food around Denver

by skeevesteve

When I first heard about Wok Uptown from my neighbors, I got really excited. They told me it was some of the best Chinese food that they've ever had so I had to check it out myself.

The lettuce wrap was exquisite! Minced chicken breast , green onions, water chestnuts and pine nuts over crispy rice noodles. It is a great choice for a healthy and light meal. Way better than P.F. Changs!

Next, I had the BBQ ribs. It was delicious, meat was tender and marinated just perfectly.

Then, I moved on to their Cantonese Pan-fry Noodles. It is a combo of sliced flank steak, chicken breast and shrimp sauteed with fresh vegetables served over crispy egg noodles. Tasty! It was just like the way they make it in New York.

If you are looking for a great Chinese place to eat at, Wok Uptown is the place.

Pros: Great delicious Chinese food!

I was amazed at how good this place is. When I walked in, it was clean and nicely decorated. The Chinese girl behing the counter was nice and a great at helping me choose an entree. I don't like carrots and was happy to find out that they can customize any order. They made my Shrimp Phad Thai extra spicy for me, which I love. They also offer delivery, which is great since I live in downtown Denver. Very convenient.

Best Hot and Sour Soup in Denver

by denversteve

Wok Uptown has really great Chinese food and the best tasting hot and sour soup in Denver. I first fell in love with it about a year again when I had a cold. The chili spice and savory tangy flavor just made me feel so much better. It has egg, bamboo shoot and 2 kinds of mushroom in it. It's a good way to start the meal off with. I would recommend the Sacha Chicken, Sesame Chicken and Singapore Street Noodles..all my favorites! I'm getting hungry just thinking about their food.

Pros: Great soup choices, good ambience, courteous staff

Cons: Limited parking

Best Sesame Chicken and Drunken Noodles

by x1979

The people at Wok Uptown are friendly and knowledgable about their food. I was happy with my experience because their dishes are made to order with fresh, top notch ingredients and delicious, too.

Right across the street from The Children's Hospital on 18th and Ogden, Wok Uptown was easy to locate. I was craving good Chinese food like Sesame Chicken and crab cheese wontons. Yum.

I was surprised to see that Wok Uptown also offered great noodle dishes like Phad Thai, Drunken Noodles and Chinese Chow Hor Fun ( a tasty classic of broad rice noodles stir fried with shrimp, chicken or beef.)

When I called for a take-out order they were fast and treated me with great courtesy. I was pleased to hear that my order would be ready in less than 15 minutes, which is great for a busy individual like me. Parking was scarce but they do have their own parking lot, another plus.

Walking through the door, I was greeted with a friendly smile. The decor is modern and hip with an Asian flair that consisted of intricate bamboo plants, beautiful Chinese wall scrolls and even a water fountain. Soothing. The dining room only seats about 20, it had a great restaurant atmosphere. As I sip on a steaming cup of Jasmine green tea I can also hear and see all the chefs in the kitchen busily cooking with their woks which means it is a bustling popular eatery.

When we opened the bag, the food was piping hot and smelled so delicious. I was starving and dug right into the Pan Fried Chicken Dumplings, which was so damn good! MInced chicken breast seasoned with fresh ginger and nappa cabbage, served with Sweet Chili and Garlic Soy Dipping Sauce. My friend, a vegetarian, had the Rainbow Asparagus, Garlic Tofu with brown rice. I was excited to know that they offer healthy low fat and high protein dishes like Chicken with Vegetables, Chinese Chicken Salad (yummy) and tofu dishes.

Overall, we were very happy with our experience and would definitly go back. Again and again.

Pros: Great tasting food, fresh ingredients, healthy options, friendly service, authentic cuisine

Cons: Small parking lot, limited dining room

Tasty Curry Chicken, Great vegetarian and healthy menu options, delicious Chinese Chicken Salad

by guangdong

Been a favorite of my family's for over 4 years and still is. I was first introduced to Wok Uptown by a friend of mine that lives in downtown Denver. I just like the simple fact that they provide me with great service and tasty, high end food. The menu offers a lot of great classic Chinese dishes like Sweet and Sour Chicken or more nouveau cuisine like Sacha Chicken ( a spicy Asian dish stir fried with sliced chicken breast, garlic, ginger, red chili and assorted vegetables like zucchini, baby corn, bell peppers and broccoli. I have never been dissappointed by their chefs. I think I like them so much because they are consistent and uses high quality fresh ingredients. It is worth every penny for their generous portions.

Pros: Generous portions, high quality food, clean environment, great service

Cons: Small dining room but cozy
