I just got delivery and everything tasted great. The free egg rolls were crispy, full of vegetables and perfect. The two of us shared the Singapore noodles and Aloha Chicken over steamed jasmine rice. It arrived hot and huge portions, too. Singapore noodles were tasty with thin rice noodles in a spicy curry with chicken, bbq pork amd shrimp. Aloha Chicken was wonderful with pineapple, onions and broccoli. We even had leftovers for lunch and it tasted just as good.
We were staying in downtown Denver at the Hyatt and the front desk gave us Wok Uptown's menu. Delivery took 40 min. and we requested settings/utensils. We got shrimp lo mein noodles...delicious with plump shrimp. My daughter really liked the Aloha chicken over brown rice. Big portions and great freshly prepared food...excellent!
It's great to get take-out...only around 10 minutes! I like to call my order in and swing by Wok Uptown on the way home from work. The dining is small but cute and clean. I love how they make everything to order so I always get my chicken fried rice with no onions, add $2.00 shrimp...whatever I want, the chefs are willing to make. I love that!
I was just starving and about to pass out when my friend came by with a big brown bag of food. He said it was from Wok Uptown Chinese restaurant down the street and the smell wafting thru my apartment was just so delicious. I immediatly started to salivate and thank him a million times for saving my life.
I ripped open the bag and proceeded to open the first Chinese carton of food...it was Chicken Lo mein, soft egg noodles stir-fried with sliced chicken breast and veggies. It was soooo good! Then he told me the noodles are made fresh daily! It tasted like heaven to me. The steamed chicken dumplings were delicious, too. I loved dipping it in the garlic soy sauce that it came with.
So now..I have my weekly Chinese food fix at Wok Uptown and everything has been stellar! I like their website www.wokuptown.com because it's easy to use and has every description of all their entrees. Very helpful!
A great little cozy Chinese restaurant that serves up some of the best Chinese food in Uptown Denver. Fresh, tasty and plentiful...with healthier options available like their Chinese Chicken Garden Salad or just ask one of their helpful staff members.
I've dined in and had delivery to my house...love that they are so fast and dependable! I am seriously addicted to their Mongolian Beef (Out of this World!) and Chicken Chow Hor Fun ( a delicious traditional stir-fry with broad rice noodles) ..but everything I've had has been really good.
Best delivery for Chinese food in the downtown Denver area. Our office orders from Wok Uptown at least once or twice a week and the whole company loves their food. The Wok uses huge shrimp, flank steak and fresh tender vegetables. I love their Shrimp with Asparagus and my ultimate favorite dish is their mouth-watering Drunken Chicken. Juicy, marinated pieces of chicken stir fried with a spicy Mai sauce, fresh thai basil, onions, carrots, bean sprouts and broad rice noodles. Try them, you'll like it.
I must admit that I've been eating at Wok Uptown for over 4 years and find their Chinese food to be the best in Denver. I've tried other places but nothing compares to their freshness and tastiness of each dish.
They have a quaint small dining room and I'll get take-out once in a while. I really prefer delivery since it's fast and so convenient. My personal favorite is their Mongolian Beef and Sesame Chicken....hits the spot everytime. I tell everyone I know to order from Wok Uptown.
They offer some Thai dishes and my friend really enjoys their Chicken Pad Thai. The Green Thai Curry with Chicken is a wonderful blend of spices, veggies and amazing flavors. I like it really spicy with brown rice. Delicious!
Great food, awesome service.
After moving from New York, I was on a quest for some delicious Chinese or Asian food. My good friend and I went to several Chinese restaurants in Denver....the best one was Wok Uptown Asian Cuisine.
I was really craving this one Thai noodle dish called Drunken Chicken. Their version was perfect....stir-fried with sliced chicken breast, broad rice noodles, fresh thai basil, red chili pepper, onions and bean sprouts...yummy! My friend loved their Orange Chicken with brown rice.
Their dining room was small but cozy and clean. The service is what stands out the most. Friendly, smiling and helpful staff. They will make special accomadations and offer gluten free, vegetarian dishes as well.
This place delivers, too....a true gem.
I usually go to Wok Uptown in Denver for some tasty Chinese food like Mongolian Beef or Orange Chicken. They always delight me with their delicious and high quality dishes for over 2 years. I eat there on a weekly basis with my friends.
So when I saw they had added Thai Curry to their menu, I had to try it. I ordered the Jade Green Curry with Chicken..medium spicy..with brown rice. It was soooo good. Chicken was white meat, juicy and tender..the curry was just perfectly spicy with a good amount of fresh veggies. I encourage everyone to try their Thai curries...some of the best around town!

Love this cute little place. The food is so good..I ate there three times in one week. Their Sacha Chicken is to die for. Everytime I eat there, I feel good because I know they don't use MSG and just the best ingredients. I will be coming back for more great Chinese food.

I have lived in Denver (Uptown area) for 5 years and Wok Uptown is hands down the best asian food I have had in Denver.
The lemongrass chicken is outstanding and the shrimp lo mein is wonderful. The eggrolls are light and flaky and simply delicious. Every dish is packed with veggies and meat and it is always piping hot. And you get a lot for your money. Love that.
Also, the people who work there are so friendly and so nice, they treat me like an old friend when I am there, even though I know they have no idea who I am. Love that too. Really, it makes a difference.
I can't say enough about this place!

The food at Wok Uptown is probably the best tasting Chinese food in Denver. Hands down. I have eaten at a lot of Asian and Chinese restaurants around Colorado and found that Wok Uptown beats them all by their high quality food and service. After eating there for more than a year, I refuse to eat anywhere else.

Our company used Wok Uptown Chinese Restaurant in Denver to cater a huge business work party for 150 people and they did a wonderful job. The food was great and delicious served on elegant disposable platters. I love their sesame chicken and beef with broccoli...they use flank steak! Our company was just overly pleased with their food and service. We love Wok Uptown and will use them on a regular basis for catering big events.
Wok Uptown has never fail to amaze me and my family with their great tasting Chinese food. I love that they don't use MSG at all and they use fresh, wholesome ingredients. My ultimate favorite is their spicy Singapore Street Noodles with curry. It's always a great meal when Wok Uptown delivers!

I really do enjoy eating at Wok Uptown and have been a loyal customer for 3 years. First, they have the best Chicken Dumplings and Crab Cheese Wontons around. Second, I find their food to be ultra fresh and delicious everytime I've ordered from them. Third, their staff are friendly and fast.
My favorite dishes are Sesame Chicken and Sacha Chicken ( a wonderful stir fry in an Asian Chili sauce with sliced chicken breast and assorted vegetables. Medium Spicy. I highly recommend them to everyone!

BAD FOOD, BAD STAFF....JUST PLAIN BAD!!!!!!I am new in town and ordered the $12.95 uptown dinner from Wok Uptown, they were very timely and polite when i placed my order. HOWEVER when i got the food it was an extremely small portion and for sure not worth the $31.00 once i tasted it. The beef and broccoli was bland and chewey, the rice was dry, and the chicken lo mein tasted like top ramen with no seasoning and boiled chicken. DISGUSTING! I called to complain the next morning and the Mgr Jay said yes thank you for your concern good bye, i said excuse me you didnt even hear my complaint you just heard that i had one. he then replied in a very rude tone DONT EAT HERE AGAIN, i said ummmm i dont feel like i am being treated fairly. to which he replied were not a big corporation and frankly we dont care for your business anyways. I said I would like my money back because i wouldve been willing to try something else but that was never offered. He then told me HONEY YOU ARENT IN CHARGE and hung up on me. I called back and asked to speak to another manager and the girl said there isnt any here and I said well im extremely dissapointed she then raised her voice and said (expletive) DONT FREAKING EAT HERE AGAIN. It wasnt about the $31 but i was treated TERRIBLY, and for not being a big corporation you should need to keep your local business to stay in business. Sad in this day and age people treat their customers this way.
I hate this place. It's expensive and they charge extra for brown rice.
The best orange chicken I've ever had...sooo good. I love their lo mein noodles and Kung Pao chicken, too. This place serves up amazing Chinese and Asian food. \r
This is a small restaurant owned by a Chinese family..cute little dining room and fast on to- go orders, around 10 minutes.\r
My family orders a couple times a week because they have a variety of dishes, healthy and vegetarian options, fast and friendly service..the best Chinese in town!
Wok Uptown has been my favorite place to order from when I am craving great Chinese food. I get delivery or take out at least once a week for the last ....7 years! :-)\r
I love that they don't use MSG and only the freshest ingredients. They are willing to modify my order every single time because I'm allergic to onions and I love their Chef for that!\r
Sesame chicken with no onions, add broccoli and extra spicy over brown rice! Yum yum!\r
Wok Uptown has some of the best Chinese food and I normally order from here at least once a week...it's so delicous! Delivery is so awesome and take out is always fast. I've always been pleased with their food and service for the last 7 years! :-)\r
They are willing to modify my dishes for me which I love! It's great that they don't use MSG and all their ingredients are top grade. \r
I crave their chicken lo mein and sesame chicken with no onions, add broccoli over steamed Jasmine white rice..yum yum. It is so tender, fresh out of the wok, hot and good!\r
My roomate loves their Sacha Beef with flank steak and Singapore street rice noodles. They are both good but I've got my favorites!
This place has gone downhill and quickly! That, combined with a disrespful owner, is why I will not return and must recommend that others chose from one of the many nearby alternatives with better food and a more pleasurable experience. Be forewarned!!
This is not an usual Chinese restaurant, it is one of the best Chinese restaurants I have ever been. You'll not see the typical dishes on their menu. The menu is filled with all unique dishes. I went there specifically to taste those unusual dishes.
Everything was great .. great food, nice staff.
I have been eating here for over 6 years and they never fail to deliver me delicious Chinese food to my door..even in a blizzard!\r
I've tried calling pizza places and other Chinese places around downtown Denver during a snow storm and all of them were not delivering. Except for good ole Wok Uptown! \r
My favorite dishes are their Beef Hor Fun rice noodles (just like in Hong Kong), Panang Curry with Chicken, Mongolian Beef and Orange Chicken. I am salivating just thinking about this. Yum yum!
Just ordered delivery and everything was great! I live in downtown Denver and love the convenience of delivery so I don't have to leave my home. It normally takes around 40 minutes. I love their Singapore Rice Noodles and Kung Pao Chicken...delicious everytime.
Pros: Great food, cooked to order, nice people
Cons: No bar.
Great little Chinese cafe, awesome food! They got a great website..with pictures and all the descriptions. It's a cozy dining room but we usually get delivery or take out.\r
My favorites are the Drunken rice noodles, spicy with shrimp. I also really like their chicken dumplings. Yum yum! \r
The staff is nice and laid-back unless you are being difficult. LOL. I love this place and I've been eating here for at least 5 years and counting........
Pros: Best Chinese food I've ever had!
Cons: No bar but that's okay
So my roomate swears by this place...he eats Wok Uptown at least once a week. I just happened to taste his Mongolian Beef and it was just splendid. Just good ole flank steak and onions in a spicy garlic chili sauce over rice...it hit the spot!\r
Now my roomie has got me hooked on da Wok...I've been secretly eating his leftovers and finally gave in to ordering delivery and take-out from them. I love their Chicken Lo Mein and Chicken Thai fried rice. I'm trying a lot of different dishes and liked most of them especially the Singapore Street Noodles...thin rice noodles stir-fry in yellow curry with chicken, shrimp and bbq pork and veggies. Can't beat that with a stick!
Pros: Awesome Chicken Lo Mein, Mongolian Beef, fast take-out
Cons: small parking lot and dining room
I love chinese food, so I googled ""denver's best chinese food,"" and wok uptown came up. I read the reviews from the site and was very anxious to try it. I have never written a review for a restaurant; however, wok uptown was so incredibly HORRIBLE that I felt compelled to let the public know.\r
I ordered seseme chicken to go and I recieved extremely soggy and breaded, fried mush. You could actually taste the cheapness in the food. It was probably the worst seseme chicken I've ever had in my life...worse than ""Dollar a Scoop."" \r
Cons: quality, cost, location
What really stand out at Wok Uptown is their great tasting food. My personal favorites are the Thai Curries..Fire Red Panang with Chicken (Med Spicy) over brown rice rocks my world. \r
My kids love their sesame chicken (all white meat) and chicken lo mein noodles. They demand we order it once a week and we have been!
Pros: Love their flavorful and delicious food! Fast take-out 10min
Cons: No liquor, small but cute dining room.
My boyfriend and I have been ordering from this place for over 3 years and never really had a problem but we ordered from them last night and had the WORST customer service ever!!!!!!!! They brought us our delivery and it was missing on entre so we called them to tell them and they pretty much told us it was our fault and that we should have them and said it was our fault because we had 3 sep orders so that was what we got!!!!! Then I asked them when they could bring me my order and they said they did not know because they could not talk to the driver and they could not do anything about it and never so sorry at all!!!!! So then we cancelled the order and again they said it was our fault.\r
We will never order from here again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!\r
Pros: Sometimes good food
Cons: Horrible Horrible Customer Service (one star for the food)
I have tried a number of Chinese restaurants in the area for take out, and Wok Uptown is by far the best. The food is high quality, and the staff is really friendly. I definitely recommend it!
Pros: great food, nice staff
Cons: long delivery times
I love Wok Uptown. I used to work in the area and we would always go there for lunch. They have fast and nice service and the food is always good. There are a lot of options, but all the ingredients are high quality and fresh. I try to get back there every now and then event thoguh it's really out of the way. I highly recommend this place!
Pros: great food, great price
Cons: smalll parking lot; no beer wine or liquor as far as I can remember
I have never had better Chinese food in all my years. The food was served quickly, the restaurant charming and very clean, the staff was friendly and engaging. I HIGHLY recommend.
Pros: Quick and friendly service...delicious food.
Cons: parking is on the lean side...
I think Wok Uptown just simply have the best Chinese food in Denver. Everytime it arrives hot, fresh and delicious. We had also used them to cater a big party for 100 people and everybody just fell in love with their great food. I just love their Drunken Chicken Noodles and steamed chicken dumplings. Must try Wok Uptown!
Pros: Great food, always delicious!
Wok Uptown always arrives fresh and within about 45 minutes after I placed the order. Sure, when it snows or there's a Rockies game going on..it might be around an hour but that is expected. I find the staff to be friendly and helpful. But above all, I love their food. they make my beef with broccoli with flank steak and fresh broccoli. I love their steamed jasmine rice that comes with it. A great Chinese Restaurant to eat at.
Pros: Great food and staff
After repeatedly being unsatisfied with other Chinese eateries, Wok Uptown came into my life and quelched that hunger finally. The food arrived at my door hot and fresh 40 minutes after I had placed the call. My Mongolian Beef was cooked just perfect, the beef was nicely seasoned and tender. The crab cheese wontons was just incredible with their house made sweet and sour sauce. Everybody, go to Wok Uptown!
Pros: Great food, great value, friendly service
At Wok Uptown in Denver, you get a whole lotta food for your bucks. Around lunch, it's about 8 dollars for a big ole plate and I had to get a to go box. It was almost like 2 meals in 1. Dinner is around 10 dollars and you get a lot of food, too. I think it was a great value even if it's a couple of dollars more than your regular Chinese restaurant. The high quality and well prepared food was more than worth it. The Shrimp lo mein and Sesame Tofu was just awesome! Now I know why they have such a strong devoted customer base.
Pros: Excellent food, huge portions and great value. Clean and modern.
When I first heard about Wok Uptown from my neighbors, I got really excited. They told me it was some of the best Chinese food that they've ever had so I had to check it out myself. \r
The lettuce wrap was exquisite! Minced chicken breast , green onions, water chestnuts and pine nuts over crispy rice noodles. It is a great choice for a healthy and light meal. Way better than P.F. Changs!\r
Next, I had the BBQ ribs. It was delicious, meat was tender and marinated just perfectly. \r
Then, I moved on to their Cantonese Pan-fry Noodles. It is a combo of sliced flank steak, chicken breast and shrimp sauteed with fresh vegetables served over crispy egg noodles. Tasty! It was just like the way they make it in New York. \r
If you are looking for a great Chinese place to eat at, Wok Uptown is the place.
Pros: Great delicious Chinese food!
I am so happy that Wok Uptown delivers delicious Chinese food right to my door. I've been searching for a good Chinese restaurant around the downtown area for a while. They are always courteous and arrive around 45 minutes with fresh hot food. I love their Mongolian Beef. Overall, I think they have the best Chinese in Denver!
Pros: Huge portions, fast delivery
I am a lettuce wrap expert and Wok Uptown has the best tasting Chicken Lettuce Wraps with pine nuts stir fried in it. You get 5 wraps out of each order and I think it makes a nice appetizer or a light meal. It is better than P.F. Changs!
Pros: Awesome Lettuce Wraps, great value
Cons: Parking is scarce but free
I was amazed at how good this place is. When I walked in, it was clean and nicely decorated. The Chinese girl behing the counter was nice and a great at helping me choose an entree. I don't like carrots and was happy to find out that they can customize any order. They made my Shrimp Phad Thai extra spicy for me, which I love. They also offer delivery, which is great since I live in downtown Denver. Very convenient.
Pros: Great food, great customer service
Wok Uptown has really great Chinese food and the best tasting hot and sour soup in Denver. I first fell in love with it about a year again when I had a cold. The chili spice and savory tangy flavor just made me feel so much better. It has egg, bamboo shoot and 2 kinds of mushroom in it. It's a good way to start the meal off with. I would recommend the Sacha Chicken, Sesame Chicken and Singapore Street Noodles..all my favorites! I'm getting hungry just thinking about their food.
Pros: Great soup choices, good ambience, courteous staff
Cons: Limited parking
Been a favorite of my family's for over 4 years and still is. I was first introduced to Wok Uptown by a friend of mine that lives in downtown Denver. I just like the simple fact that they provide me with great service and tasty, high end food. The menu offers a lot of great classic Chinese dishes like Sweet and Sour Chicken or more nouveau cuisine like Sacha Chicken ( a spicy Asian dish stir fried with sliced chicken breast, garlic, ginger, red chili and assorted vegetables like zucchini, baby corn, bell peppers and broccoli. I have never been dissappointed by their chefs. I think I like them so much because they are consistent and uses high quality fresh ingredients. It is worth every penny for their generous portions.
Pros: Generous portions, high quality food, clean environment, great service
Cons: Small dining room but cozy
The people at Wok Uptown are friendly and knowledgable about their food. I was happy with my experience because their dishes are made to order with fresh, top notch ingredients and delicious, too. \r
Right across the street from The Children's Hospital on 18th and Ogden, Wok Uptown was easy to locate. I was craving good Chinese food like Sesame Chicken and crab cheese wontons. Yum.\r
I was surprised to see that Wok Uptown also offered great noodle dishes like Phad Thai, Drunken Noodles and Chinese Chow Hor Fun ( a tasty classic of broad rice noodles stir fried with shrimp, chicken or beef.) \r
When I called for a take-out order they were fast and treated me with great courtesy. I was pleased to hear that my order would be ready in less than 15 minutes, which is great for a busy individual like me. Parking was scarce but they do have their own parking lot, another plus.\r
Walking through the door, I was greeted with a friendly smile. The decor is modern and hip with an Asian flair that consisted of intricate bamboo plants, beautiful Chinese wall scrolls and even a water fountain. Soothing. The dining room only seats about 20, it had a great restaurant atmosphere. As I sip on a steaming cup of Jasmine green tea I can also hear and see all the chefs in the kitchen busily cooking with their woks which means it is a bustling popular eatery. \r
When we opened the bag, the food was piping hot and smelled so delicious. I was starving and dug right into the Pan Fried Chicken Dumplings, which was so damn good! MInced chicken breast seasoned with fresh ginger and nappa cabbage, served with Sweet Chili and Garlic Soy Dipping Sauce. My friend, a vegetarian, had the Rainbow Asparagus, Garlic Tofu with brown rice. I was excited to know that they offer healthy low fat and high protein dishes like Chicken with Vegetables, Chinese Chicken Salad (yummy) and tofu dishes.\r
Overall, we were very happy with our experience and would definitly go back. Again and again.
Pros: Great tasting food, fresh ingredients, healthy options, friendly service, authentic cuisine
Cons: Small parking lot, limited dining room
