For those of you who have posted about the high prices and ripoffs at Don's guns, you are correct. I purchased a pistol there on Feb. 26th and they took 5% off the price which I thought was good, but it made me suspicious that they had the gun marked up a ton more than other shops. I got back home and found that I paid about $125 more for the gun than it was on Gunsamerica. Unfortunately ""all sales are final"" and they were the only one that had the gun I wanted so I bought it. Never again at Don's guns will I buy anything.

Ok, the very first time I went to Don's Guns I was skeptical because all off the bad reviews it has gotten. I browsed at their guns and decided I wanted to shoot one off their guns at their range, TERRIBLE MISTAKE! They said that it's only $10 to try out a gun and it was, but after I put 50 9mm luger rounds through a gun and went to pay for it, it costed $56! Thats alot just to shoot only 50 rounds! They charged me $1 for the target, around $2.50 to rent glasses and hear protection, $10 for the gun, $10 for the range usage, and $25 for the ammo! I can get a box of 50 9mm luger rounds for $11 at my local range. Somehow that all added up to be $56. They don't let you bring in your own ammo so never ever shoot guns their, its a total ripoff!

The owners motto has got to be ""We want no return customers, only idiots who know nothig about firearms"".\nIf your unfortionate enough to buy a gun from this guy, I feel for you. I have never in all my life seen a Rossi .38 that retails for $375 sell for $725. A Berretta 92FS for $1090? WTF???? Who the heck hand built this thing?\nDon't ever try to sell any of your firearms to tthis place either, you will get so underbid and then you show up there 5 days later to see the very gun you sold to them for $125 selling in the window for $550. I even seen a used AR selling for over 2K!!!! this thing was striped down with nothing on it! A .223 at that! Stay away, the owner has aleady made his millions off people who know nothing about guns but then again, Dons is also listed by the ATF as one of the worlds leading sellers of guns to criminals in the US. Just google the shops name and read the other 4 gun stores across the US who join him in this wonderful list...................

I made the mistake of buying a gun there without shopping around. I paid 40% more than I would have if I had bought it at Gander Mountain. Their ammo is marked up 100% compared to what you can get it at other stores. They seem to prey on first time buyers knowing that no one will come back after they figure out how they have been ripped off.

Wow.. previous poster must be an employee. I have been a firearms owner for over 30 yrs. Don's is know in the community for very high prices. Their range is dark without any heat or air. The lighting is suitable for low light training. The average clients appear to be of the baggy pant, gold teed variety of all colors. The actions of these shooters would make any gun owner not want to be on the range with them..

Great advertising.
Nice customer service.
HIgh prices on all products and services.
Dirty and out dated range equipment.
Very low safety level.
Basically a very scarey place for the average shooter

i have stopped in dons a couple times and called a few times and they are, hands down, the most rude and arragant people you will ever deal with. not sure if they just dont like their job and minimum wages or if they just cant stand being alive and having to work for such an idiot like don. they are never willing to talk to you like , not only a human, but customer who is trying to help them keep them in business. i dont know why they think they are so special because they are not. there are lots of other places to buy a gun and i would never give 'ol donny my money. maybe when he kicks the bucket in the next few years this place will change for the better . cause it cant get any worse. dont waste your time and please dont waste your money.

Pros: big selection at terrible prices

Cons: everything but the selection , employees are the worst ever

Dons is the worst place to buy a gun. The prices are the highest anywhere. The sales people are arrogant and rude. Don's Guns prey on the first time gun buyer by advertising his store and getting people who don't know how much a gun costs to over pay for their product. Every time I go to the range I feel like some urban youth banger is going to shoot me with his Hipoint that he bought for $499 and can't get to function. Go anywhere but Don's.

Pros: They do have lots of commercials

Cons: Way over priced, rude,

Don's Guns is an above average indoor public shooting range. I have neither sold nor purchased guns at Don's so I can't comment on that. However, pricing on range ammo is very competitive (towards the cheaper end in the area). I have never waited for an open lane, either. Range is maintained well; it has always been relatively clean, nothing has ever been in disrepair (in other words, it's safe). The staff is always friendly, receptive to questions, and has patience with the gun non-expert.
