I am part of a fan group that meets during football season to cheer on our team. We spoke with the owner of the Red Ox when looking for a place to enjoy our games this season and we were ASSURED that we were welcome in his establishment. After a few weeks we were informed that we were no longer welcome and that we were "not worth his time." I have been in this place several times over the last few weeks and not once have I seen more than 10 people in there. He turned away a group that while does fluctuate in size is always from 12-25 people every Sunday. Now, I do not consider this much of a loss since as the Name of my posting states the Food and Service were terrible. First the food, granted is bar food and I am not comparing it to 5 star restaurants but I would expect better food at the local soup kitchen. In several cases by the time I got the food it was cold, or was almost inedible and I am not the type of guy that finds any food inedible. Also, when you are sitting in a group of people and EVERYONE has to get up and go to the bar to order everything while there are three bartender/servers standing around chating then that is terrible service. I would recommend buying a 12 pack of beer, going through a fast food drive through and standing outside a electronics store to watch a game before going to this place!!!!
