The first experience, I was misdiagnosed, an unnecessary surgery was performed. At the time of surgery, my trigs, chol, and sugar were so high I could have died on the table. It took me 3 days of fighting with the doctors and the hospital before they ran the proper test and diagnosed me correctly. Yes, I had to pay for this and I almost died. The second time, i was admitted through the ER and again they tried to end my life. Again, they misdiagnosed me and it took me 4 doctors, 4 days, and a chat with an administrator to get things straightened out. I spent 9 days in intensive care near death and had I not argued with them again, I would be dead. I will never set foot in this hospital even if it's only to use the bathroom. The nurses are nasty and uncaring, although I did 2 decent night staff nurses in ICU, the doctors have poor bedside manner and spend less than 2 minutes with you. At one point, one doctor took the phone out of my hand and began speaking to the person on the other end without my permission and without warning. This is the absolute worst hospital I have ever been to and I would rather die on my own terms than to let them see me. Amazingly enough, Community Hospital North is a completey different experience. If my only choice was to go through Community Hospital East or nothing, I would take my chances with fate. At least I have a fighting chance. If I were uneducated and had no medical knowledge like the average patient, I would have blindly followed these people right into my grave. The saddest part is that the first doctor I fired and refused to speak with billed me and when I sent hardship paperwork and tried to fight that I shouldn't owe him a dime, he sent me to collections without warning. Unfortunately, medical lawsuits are too hard to win in Indiana and it would have cost me more than the bill to fight him. I was told I wasn't in pain and the fact that I upchucked every 3 hours like clockwork should have been a clue.

They say it is the best place to work. Ha it's one of the worst places to work. They are so judgemental and critical that they will leave you in tears. I would avoid working for them if they were the last place on earth. They have one of the highest turnover rates, and just wait until they give you a new boss who doesn't know what they hell they are doing and then their mistakes become your fault. Oh yes this is the best place on earth to work. Let me tell you! I wish I would have never left my old job for this one, don't let them fool you with the better pay. It's not worth it trust me! Oh and try to find a new job, they black ball you like none other. Work at your own risk!

They have the best staff but the neighborhood is bad. If you are really sick it is the place to go. They sometimes have a horrible wait.
