Took my car here for state inspection, and they wanted to charge me a ridiculous $335 for two brake pads. I replaced them myself for $28. It took under an hour (i.e. they wanted the equivalent of over $300/hour for labor)..

Brought the car back, and they magically started finding things they had missed on the first inspection. They said they were failing it for a missing lens over one of the license plate lamps. (I knew the lens had been missing for a year. They had no explanation for missing it on the first inspection. It seems this place cannot do an inspection correctly.) They wanted $216 to replace the lighting assembly. They lied and said they can't order the lens by itself. Well, I had no problem ordering the OEM lens. I replaced it for $18. It took about two minutes.I noticed Sussman also hadn't told me one of the lamps was burned out. I replaced that for $1.29.

I brought the car back, and shockingly they failed it again. This time they pointed out the lighting assembly over the license plate wiggled a little. State law says the lights have to be securely fastened and illuminate the plate (which they certainly were and did. It was not possible to move them so they didn't illuminate the plate).

So I brought it to a reputable place, with higher ratings online, and it passed. The mechanics there laughed when I told them what Sussman wanted to do, and what they wanted to charge me. The inspection was cheaper there, also.

It seems that Sussman will lie to you, and find BS things wrong with your car, because they must work on commission.

While I was waiting, someone else was threatening to demand a refund for a car he had just purchased there. He sounded as fed-up with Sussman as I am.

This is the first time I am writing any kind of review. I expect some level of BS from all Auto dealers but I guess it will be hard to beat sussman mazda. I contacted 5 different dealers and 4 of them gave me a reasonable quote. But I got lured by almost 25% MSRP quote given by sussman. I confirmed with them over the phone before making a trip to their dealership.
I test drove the car, picked up trim & color. The salesman added the price for all the options & added $500 on top of initial quote. I was still ok with that.
But when he went to his Manager (Anthony Metelo), everything got murky ! Seems the initial quote they offered was too low. At that point they started looking for an excuse not to sell the vehicle !!
The salesperson said there was some financing issue & that he would call me back. I told him that I can arrange that on my own. Straightway I went to my bank & got approval for financing. So I called them back..that was just after 2 hours after I had left the dealer...But then Anthony Metelo started some BS that I had walked out of the deal and that somebody else had made a deposit on car.... & some more BS.

After few days I called Anthony to check if the car was still available ..he said he would call me back in 10 min... Its been a month now. Never heard back from him.
During this whole episode I didn't ask them to lower their price.

SAVE SOME TIME. DON'T TRUST THESE THUGS. PAY MORE AT ANY OTHER DEALER AND YOU WILL HAVE A FAR BETTER EXPERIENCE.

Vehicle was described as "like new" condition and was Acura Certified. I was told that the vehicle had no damage and was in excellent shape. Upon arrival I found that the passenger door, fender and hood had been repainted (very poorly). The passenger door was full of broken glass - some of which fell out when I closed the door. The interior of the vehicle was in very poor condition including a strong smell of urine and scratches, cuts and marks on nearly every surface. Howard Leopold (sales person) told me that he felt the car was in excellent condition and that we just had a difference of opinion. He also denied mis-representing the vehicle prior to my visit. The General Manager (Chuck/Charles) told me that the vehicle has a clean car fax report and that was enough for them to say it had never been in an accident. He would not acknowledge the broken glass or other damage. In return he offered to sell me a brand new Acura for $15k more than the vehicle I originally wanted to look at. Bait and switch in other words. I have purchased three Certified-Used Acura's in the past from other dealerships. All have been in excellent condition and have served me well. Sussman Acura clearly has serious ethical issues. Acura needs to take a serious look at this dealership and decide if they want this type of operation to reflect their brand. The experience is reflective of many others that I have since found online. I highly recommend avoiding Sussman Acura or any of their other businesses.

I heard advertisements for Sussman Mazda on the "Preston & Steve" show and I figured I'd check them out (since P&S have never steered me wrong). And this was no exception. The salesman, Joe Thompson, was genuinely friendly (not "salesman friendly"), truly pressure free and really took his time to listen to what I was looking for and what could fit my budget. At the end I walked out with a new car, with lower payments, better gas mileage, and a fun new car to zip around in. I couldn't be happier (unless they gave it away for free). Obviously, I highly recommend Sussman Mazda.

I previously had a good experience previously with my Sussman Honda purchase--but my experience with Sussman Mazda leads me to think this is the type of dealer that all the other dealers warn you about when the price is too good to be true. They emailed me their internet price--which beat all the other quotes I had. I came into the dealer, met with the salesman, test drove the car and liked it. I showed him the internet quote I had--but it was for a car with different equipment. So he noted on my printed email that the price would be $300 more than was indicated in the email--which was ok with me, because it was stil the best price. I called a few days later, ready to make a deal--BUT THEN THE PRICE JUMPED $1,000! I told him no way--that's not what you said when we met.

The good news is that their fake price allowed me to get an even better price elsewhere, which Sussman couldn't touch. Too bad that they lost a customer that lives right in the neighborhood...

I showed up for my service appointment, staff excellent greeted me immediately. Waiting room comfortable and tv is a nice touch. My service went very smooth, my advisor explained the work performed and all of the bill. Highly recommend

I bought a Mazda 3 here in 2007. Mike was great in helping me to make my decision (it also helped that they had the exact model with the exact extras I wanted on the lot). The process was as painless as buying a new car could be!

Their service department leaves a lot to be desired, however. I now go elsewhere for that.

Took my car here for state inspection, and they wanted to charge me a ridiculous $335 for two brake pads. I replaced them myself for $28. It took under an hour (i.e. they wanted the equivalent of over $300/hour for labor)..Brought the car
