If you are out of food, they have the food bank. They have the bread giveaway where they give out bread to folks several times per week. They also have the program that gives out the store certificates to Burlington Coat Factory so that you can get your child a winter coat. In the summertime you can go sign your child up to go to Camp Allegheny for one week. This is a Christian summer camp for children. They charge you a very REASONABLE price; usually less than $50. Most camps charge $1,000 for your child to go camping for one week. My grand-children LOVE to go to camp from the YWCA and they have had the program for so many YEARS that their mother use to go also during the summer. The YWCA is also currently sponsoring a breast health program for women. This is an excellent YWCA with many programs to offer at a reasonable cost! I think their phone number is different now though... 412-365-1915. Call them and ask about some of their programs.

PROS: Plenty of programs for neighborhood residents
CONS: Some of the programs you have to live within a certain area.
