Cafe Loftus is great for a quick treat and a cup of coffee. I tend to stop in for a coffee on the go, but location attracts a lot of students and is a great place to relax or study.

This place is yummy especially now that it's Winter time this place certainly brings ones Spirit up for the season. It's a little small but the Service is excellent.
Try their blueberry muffins.

Cafe Loftus brews La Colombe coffee (based in Philadelphia and has the best coffee beans ever) and has a vibe of relaxed European cafe with simple sandwiches, biscotti and coffee. Often times the owner himself whips up your coffee.
That being said, the owner completely copied La Colombe's coffee shop located only a few blocks away. The layout of the cafe with an oversized bar, sugar containers located on the bar and the idea of displaying local artists work on the wall are exactly the same. The coffee is also a little more expensive than the real deal La Colombe. I only wish the owner was a little more original. The only differentiating detail is that Cafe Loftus sells sandwiches. I truly believe in supporting the local business and not mega coffee places like Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts so by all means, if you are in the neighborhood and need a good cup of coffee, go to Cafe Loftus, but do yourself a favor and walk a few blocks to La Colombe to observe the not so coincidental similarities.
