I wish we could give no stars. While there may be a truthful positive installation comment here, they must be flukes. We will provide details later, but take heed, this is the worst granite installation ever. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! AND IF YOU GO THRU HOME DEPOT, THEY DO NOT ADVOCATE FOR YOU. There are plenty of good granite people out there, find them. Don't be sucked in by the free food on Saturdays or by their (admittedly) fabulous selection of granite. We were and we are sooooo sorry.

I read all of the reviews but decided to go with Colonial since Home Depot was offering a good deal if I got the marble through them, using Colonial. A contractor friend also told me not to use them but I didn't listen. The worst part is that Home Depot makes you pay EVERYTHING up front so you have no recourse. I had five pieces installed in my brand new kitchen. The bar top was cut at 14" but should have been 18". It was even marked as 18" on their drawing. That had to go back and then be recut from a different slab. The three smallest pieces went on top of base cabinets. All three were installed crooked and not even pushed all the way back to the wall. One of the pieces should have been cut with an angle on the back because it's an old house and the walls are not straight. The templator didn't bother to template that part, he just said, "Oh, I'll cut it x inches by x inches. All three of these had to be ripped out and reinstalled when they came back with my corrected bar piece. The biggest corner piece was also not cut correctly. We needed a standard 30" opening for our slide in range but the front of the opening was only 29 1/2". So now all five pieces are wrong! Not only that, when they brought in the large piece, they punched a hole in my new ceiling! Then, one of the installers tried to move my new, still wrapped stove, by pulling up on the face plate. The whole plate came off and the knobs on the front of the stove went flying! I was told that Colonial would come back and fix everything. This put our remodel on hold until all the granite was fixed. When they came back to fix, I was told by the "best guy we have"..."If all you're worried about is getting the stove in the opening, we can just pick it up and drop it in".!!! I'm no contractor but I know that is RIDICULOUS!! What happens when the stove has to be pulled out for some reason! He was just looking to get out of work. When I convinced him that the granite had to be fixed, he proceeded to bring in a sander...with no dropcloth! I said, "You can't sand granite over my brand new kitchen floor without a dropcloth! Are you kidding me??? They didn't even have one. Had to sit and wait while one guy ran out to purchase one. Finally sanded it down and in the process, they scratched my new pergo floor because they wanted to use a swiffer to clean up the bits of granite!!! This was all two months ago. Had to take a day off work so the Sears guy could come repair my broken stove and Colonial never came back to fix my ceiling or my floor. You just can't make this stuff up! I would never, ever, ever recommend this company.

I would never use Colonial for anything. They switched slabs on me, put more seams than they agreed to and ran out of material during installation. When asked about why all the seams I was told to take it or leave it and they weren't going to change anything. I'm really upset at those jerks.

Not only did I feel like home when I was in this shop, they offered me everything from coffee, water, snacks. All the things you would want when making a huge decision such as this. Demetri was one of the most helpful sales reps. Ive ever worked with in all my dealings with sales men, No pressure at all. Plus I know he went himself to a service in Atlantic city on his day off to make sure the customer was happy. You people who do these reviews act like people who work there arnt real peopel , with familys and feelings. Trying to make a living
All these reviews make me sick. Its like people don't have anything better to do with their time, if you don't like it , go somewhere else. But you didn't, and you still complain. Its sad that the Internet does give people a voice, when they use it for negativity because of jealousy and competition.
your really really sad and pathetic.

Had heard some negative stories about Colonial Marble & Granite, but went to check out the granite slab selection and prices. Ended up selecting 2 slabs of Level 3 stone, had them come out and template and the following week it was installed. They may have been 1" off on the island slab, but it all looks incredible and their installers did a very good job. All were pleasant people. This is a very competitive business so you have to expect that they are aggressive in making you a customer. There were no lies and they were as price competitive as you will find. I highly recommend that you visit their showroom in King of Prussia, PA.

This company is without a doubt the best of the best. From the sales person (Sam) to the granite measurement team, granite installers (Nick) and tile installers (Fran and Bob), they are the most professional company that my wife and I have had the pleaseure of dealing with. This is a truly great organization. Came when they said they would and did a beautiful job.\r\n\r\n

I wish I would have read reviews on this company before I spent my money. If you have a problem with your granite....AND YOU WILL HAVE A PROBLEM WITH YOUR GRANITE! They will never call you back. The man who does your template is not detail oriented and he will get it wrong. The men who install your granite are not professionals and will wreck your walls getting it in and don't care if it is done right. When you call your salesman - he will not call you back. When they say Joseph will be out to fix it - he will not show up. When you call again and they tell you to talk to Demitri - he will not be there and will not return your voice mail. By the way all of these negative posts are real. Do not beleive the bullshit that these are posted by competitors. This company has a lot of inventory but little skill or concern for doing a good job.

I should have read the reviews for this company before doing business with them. I purchased granite for my double bathroom vanity. They sent out the man to prepare a template. He was not very friendly and not easy to communicate with. I told him I wanted the corner curved so that I would not have a sharp edge. When the men arrived to install my granite they were not careful in my hallway and damaged my wall and wallpaper in two spots. They then installed the granite and backsplash before I could get a good look at what they were doing. The corner was not curved and stuck straight out (not what I requested). The men were Russian and not easy to communicate with. I had the one man put on my slip that the edge was incorrect and that Joseph would be returning to finish the edge. I didn't receive a follow up call from Colonial so I left a message for Anthony. He never called me back. I called again and was told I needed to speak with Demitri but he wasn't available and I should leave a message. I left a message on his voice mail...Has anyone ever heard back from either of these guys because I haven't???
Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere.

I am a real customer in Abington, PA. My husband and I went to Colonial on a Saturday and had a very helpful saleswoman help us pick out our granite, sink and faucet. Tuesday our template gentleman showed up early (after calling to see if it was okay). 8 days after we ordered the granite, it was installed to perfection at the designated time. These people were nothing but a joy to deal with. From the saleswoman, template gent and installers. My only complaint is there was a limited selection of granite to choose from, I wanted a brownish color and there were only 4 or so to choose from once we eliminated the grays and black. Now that it's installed I absolutely love it! It's sealed, perfectly measured and made my kitchen look brand spanking new for a price that NO ONE could touch! Thank you Colonial! I do nothing but sing your praises!!!

PRESS RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: George M. Nikolaou, Esq.
July 21, 2010 610-337-3733/ 610-220-0747

COLONIAL MARBLE & GRANITE INVESTIGATION
UNCOVERS IDENTITY OF ANONYMOUS INTERNET DEFAMERS;
FEDERAL SUIT IS FILED

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA ?? Colonial Marble & Granite, the fastest-growing provider of fabrication and installation of stone materials in the Northeastern United States, has recently uncovered the identities of the perpetrators who have launched an anonymous, deliberate, defamatory campaign against Colonial over the internet. The campaign was launched by competitors who were falsely posing as former customers of Colonial by creating fake profiles on consumer review websites and then using the sites as a platform to falsely pose as disgruntled customers of Colonial. The result was the significant loss of business strictly because of the slanderous content of the internet postings.
Unlike most people who have been the victims of internet lies, Colonial took action. They hired lawyers David P. Heim of the Center City law firm Bochetto & Lentz, P.C. and George M. Nikolaou of Nikolaou Law Offices in King of Prussia to vigorously track down the identity of the perpetrators. After several subpoenas, motions and court battles over privacy issues, Colonial??s lawyers were able to track down the identity of the perpetrators, revealing that they were, in fact, one of Colonial??s competitors: AAA Hellenic Marble & Tile, and its director, Nick Alexiadas. Through electronic discovery and forensic analysis, Colonial??s lawyers were able to determine that Alexiadas created dozens of fake consumer profiles on several consumer websites, which he used to disparage Colonial on countless occasions over several months.
With the identity of the defamers revealed, Colonial has named Alexiadas, his wife Jessica, and the company AAA Hellenic in a Federal Lawsuit, claiming false advertising, dilution of trademarks, and defamation. Colonial is seeking compensatory damages, attorney??s fees, and an award of significant punitive damages.
??Our lawyers will handle it from here, but we are pleased that we have been vindicated and we can now focus our energy on giving our customers what they have come to expect: the best quality, service and price.? said Nikos Papadopoulos, Colonial??s President.
??Hopefully this will send notice to anyone who posts lies on the internet that they cannot hide behind stage names and must be held accountable for what they post.? said attorney George M. Nikolaou, Colonial??s counsel.

I will never use Colonial Marble again. They did a terrible job in my kitchen. I have a small kitchen, and was told that I would only have one seam. When they were finished, I ended up with two very ugly seams. You could see them from across the room. When I complained they told me that they were in charge of where the seams go, not me. They were very rude and did not care about customer satisfaction. I should have never paid them in full the day before the installation of my counters.

Very unsatisified. Did not honor requests as written on the contract. Got a used faucet. Seam location not honored. Granite grain flow in 2 different directions. Once money given, they were very rude. Sales people very rushed and thinking about the next customer only. They are into the volume, not the satisfaction or quality. So sorry I chose them.

I'm a bestselling romance author and my online personna is public, so I'm using my name to prove that I'm not at all associated with Colonial Marble and Granite...other than as a satisfied customer. For me to even take the time out my schedule to write this review means I was more than pleased. \r\n\r\nThis is how simple it was for me. I saw an ad for granite counters for $1999.00. So I called, ordered my granite (Verde Butterfly) with a sales professional, and set up a time schedule to have it installed. The templates were measured on the following Tuesday, and the Tuesday after that my granite counters were installed. The installation was perfect, the granite was perfect, and the sink and faucet are top of the line. And I didn't even have to go there. \r\n\r\nAnd all this for a fraction of the cost of what other companies would have charged me. I would recommend this company to anyone. And as I stated above, I'm not assoicated with them personally and I knew nothing about them until I called about the advertisement I saw. My online profile as a romance author is public and my name can be searched to prove I'm telling the truth. \r\n

Pros: Excellent Service, Simpe and Easy, Fast and On Time

Cons: None at all

RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN AWAY AND FIND A GOOD GRANITE COMPANY!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

We had them do our kitchen. The backsplash was crooked, they put holes in the wrong place for the faucet so they were off center and there were chips in the granite. All of this with sloppy workmanship/no return calls and hours of frustration.

I recently had counters replaced in my kitchen and two bathrooms, as well as a new tile backsplash in my kitchen by Colonial. I have never had a worse experience. They are all about volume??how else can they pay for their extensive advertising? Once you??ve signed on the dotted line, no one takes responsibility for the work or for return phone calls. My salesperson failed to return repeated phone calls over a two week period. The templater incorrectly measured one of the bathroom counters, causing the work to be delayed by nearly a week. The AM time slot the promised me for their second visit was not honored. In the afternoon, they finally called my office to tell me the person would be there in 20 minutes so I could head home to meet him. In fact, he showed up an hour and a half later and didn??t bring someone with him to polish and finish off the countertop. That required yet another appointment. Throughout the work they did for me, they failed to put down any coverings, set up their equipment for cutting the stone right outside my front door, and proceeded to track granite dust all through my house. Their idea of clean up was to blow some of the dust on my front porch into my flower beds and leave the rest for me to clean up. The tile backsplash installation was a mess?.very shoddy workmanship with crooked and uneven tiles. Stay away from these people if you want a quality job. They are a disaster!

We recently had a garnet (red dragon) counter-top, 2 bathroom counter-tops and a counter-top up to cabinet backsplash installed.\r\n\r\nWe were very satisfied with Colonial Marble. John Hernandez (Sales Consultant) and Marsha Crane (Director of Tile and Design) not only were very helpful in helping us decide on the right colors and materials, they also helped to get our final cost (which included installation) below the cost of the same tiles in the 6 other locations which we went to in our area, \r\n\r\nPrice is important but as or even more important is the installation. In this regard they were top-notch. The workmanship and the crew that did the installation were very skilled, pleasant and very helpful (Mr. Andstasio Sabriano, Instoler Noe, Aby Maell and Leon Kota). They did an excellent job for us. Overall, we were very satisfied with both the price and installation and would rate them highly.\r\n

Pros: Best price, very good to interact wih, job very well done

.

Colonial's sales people were fantastic. They treated you with warmth and respect. From a service standpoint, the company was excellent. Their pricing was outsanding and very reasonable.I had been to other places, but I felt Colonial Marble & Granite had a wider selection to choose from. I'd recommend them to
everyone. Thanks again"

We hired colonial marble and granite to install our granite counter tops and are pleased with our overall experience. The staff was friendly and their large selection was a little overwhelming. The sales rep asked us to post our experience once the installation was complete because the company is dealing with a serious web defamation case where competitors are posting negative reviews to slander their business. I can't speak for anyone else but my own personal experience with the company and would recommend them based on the quality service they provided to me and my home.

If you're interested in granite for your kitchen tops there is no question that you must go to Colonial. I stopped in because my neighbor kept telling me about this place and couldn't believe how amazing their selection is. The most beautiful stones and hundreds of colors all indoors! I would have never expected that one hour later I had purchased granite, the next day templated and one week later it was installed!!

I thank Colonial for a great experience and the beautiful granite they installed in my home! These guys are the best!

This is an honest review from a real customer. I had my granite counters installed on 3/1/10. I arrived at my house at 1:00pm and the workers were waiting for me to arrive. By 2:30 they were gone. The guy warned me that some of the tiles may be broken when they took off the old countertop. None were broken thankfully. I have mixed reviews about my countertops. Some positive and some negative.

Positives: Price is very good. Home Depot and Granite Transformations were over $1,000 more expensive then what we paid. Level one counter was $1999 installed. $300 extra to have the old counter removed. It comes with a new sink and faucet as well in that price. You also get a choice of three edges on your counters. The counter looks great. The counter is level (it should be) and looks just like we hoped it would. It only took a little over an hour for them to do the whole job. Selection in the warehouse is very good. More then enough colors to choose from. No pressure to buy a level 2 or higher when our budget was for a level 1.

Negatives: Messy workers. The guys who installed the counters sort of cleaned up after they were done but not completely. I had to a lot of cleaning up after they left. They didn't even bring a broom or dustpan with them. They had to borrow mine. Was told they would clean up before they left and they didn't do a very good job. There was also some sealant left on the counter and a big black spot on my floor nowhere near the counters. Not sure how they did that. The soap dispenser we ordered wasn't delivered. Was told it would be delivered by the guy who installed the counter by Wednesday at the latest. Still no dispenser. Called customer service and I'm still waiting for a call back. Still no soap dispenser and no idea when I may get it. Speaking of call backs, we called Pamela, our sales rep, and e-mailed her. Still no responses from her. Seems to be a common theme. The only way to get any good service is to show up at the showroom. That may be the only way I get my dispenser. They do make you feel a little pressured into putting a deposit down. 50% is the required deposit. If you decide to not buy it you lose 25% of that deposit. We just wanted information and samples and we walked out with new counters. It was good and bad. We didn't have a lot of time to ask enough questions. Also the counters were not sealed where they meet the wall. Was told they would do that but they didn't. Not that hard for me to do but we were told differently.

Overall I am ok with the job that was done. There are things I like and things I do not. I would recommend using them if you want affordable counters but you will have some work to do on your own to make it look complete.

This Company is absolutely terrible to deal with! Poor communication. lies and deceitfulness. If Tom was only told the truth. He should be more aware of what's going on. My Granite was cracked and Sobina talked to me like I was trash. They write their own positive reviews to try and trick the public. This business will wind up in court or at the very least out of business. DO NOT GO HERE!!! Shop around there is more reputable granite dealers. PLEASE SHOP AROUND!!!

I had my new kitchen counter tops done by Colonial and I wouldn't have gone anyware else. The job was done professionally and on time even with record snow fall.
The fabrication was top notch and the service was above and beyond. I would not hesitate to have them do my Man Cave,
next.

Perfect installation. Great experience. Priced 5 or 6 competitors and chose Colonial. They had the largest selection and the best price. They were also the most helpful in finding the color slab I was looking for. Love the sink and faucet that they provide, and the price for those was very good, too. Do yourself a favor and check them out.
My contractor was very impressed with their work.

I just got my new granite countertops last week and they look amazing! When i walked into to Colonial i was very impressed by the kitchen and bath showroom as well as their huge indoor selection of granite slabs. i was literally in and out of colonial within 1 hour. The sales person who helped me out was extremely helpful in making my selection. He helped me coordinate my new countertops with my pre existing kitchen, which reassured me that it would look great. i will be returning to colonial shortly to complete my kitchen with a new tile backsplash and maybe a new floor. The tile selection there is remarkable. The showroom floor is made up of hundreds of different floor tiles, which is great because you can see what it will look like installed. Overall i had a great experience at Colonial and will definitely reccommend them to my friends and family!

Thanks again

I have used colonial for 6 granite jobs in the last 10 months, and I am extremely satisfied on the service that I have received from the time I ordered up until installation, and continue to receive. I am a contractor and even though I have been slow in the past month or so, I still am contacted to see how I am doing and how things are. I was first seen by Parthana who brought me an assortment of chocolate covered pretzels and made everything very simple and cut and dry. She held my hand through the entire process and made everything seem simple. I sent my clients to her to pick out there granite and she took care of the rest. My clients came back telling me how great she was and that they where very happy and excited. As a contractor this is very important to me that the vendors I use uphold the standard and quality that I strive to provide, so I have happy customers in the end. All I can say is THANK YOU Colonial and Parthana!!!! I will continue to use you and tell people how great you have been to me!!!!!

I noticed how every negative comment on here has a remark saying they should be disregarded. Well don't disregard this one, because it is real. The WRONG granite was installed, NO response. The Granite is NOT sealed and NOTHING is done. My suggestion is find a reputable contractor/business who will stand behind their work.

I had so many problems with Colonial Marble. They never showed up when they said they would. When they finally arrived it was late at night and the installers were tired and dirty. I didn't feel as though they took their time with my project. They just threw everything on the cabintes and left. They were there for about ten minutes. I have already had to call them because my seam cracked. I am still waiting for the manager to call me back.

Cons: too many mistakes, waste of money

Colonial Marble showed up to my house at eight o'clock at night. As soon as they brought in the first piece of granite, I knew that they cuut the wrong color. The installers barely spoke english, but were arguing with me. They tried to convince me that I was wrong. I told them to leave my house and to come back with the color that I chose. I have been trying to get in touch with a manager for over a week. I have three kids and I still don't have a kitchen. Go to a company with experience and a good reputation. It's not worth it!

I can not believe that Colonial Marble is still in business. I refused to pay the balance on my counter tops, because the granite had two big cracks in front of the sink. They told me that they are part of the stone. What a joke. They told me that if I didn't pay they would rip everything out of my house.

I found this company to be very helpful and informative. Everything was explained to me in great detail, more than anyone else would even take the time to do. They really cared about walking you through every step of the way. Their pricing was better than some of the bids we got and I choose to go with Colonial Marble, they did excellent job with my countertop in only 7 days.

I run my own business. If I ran it like Colonial Marble, I would be out of business in months. They told me what I wanted to hear and didn't provide the serviice and the quality that I was promised. My granite looks terrible. Their office will not return my phonecalls. It looks like I have to take legal action.

I was told that the installers are the best in the area. You should see my kitchen counters. There are two seams, even though they promised me that there would only be one seam. I wouldn't be that upset if the seams didn't stand out so much. One seam is o.k., but the other seam is not even and is as wide as my pinky. I don't think that their employees know what they are doing.

We called the customer service department to ask about their service, in advance, and were treated very well. We visited the showroom on a busy Saturday. Our sales person (Sam) was very courteous and knowledgeable about the product and the installation process. He explained all of the standard features as well as the available options. He did not, at any time, try to up-sell but, he did make us aware of the different types of stone, available. When I asked him for a copy of the contract, he gave it to me immediately and left the room while i read the language. The contract language is very straight forward and does not contain any hidden problems or issues. When he returned, he answered all of my questions regarding the contract. We made the purchase decision and chose a level 2 stone. The template crew arrived as scheduled and completed the measurement of the counters within 30 minutes. Seven days later the installation crew arrived and installed our counters. There was one slight mishap when they accidentally broke one of the back-splash pieces. They immediately called the company and reported the problem and gave them the measurements. Five days later they returned to install the final back-splash piece. We are very pleased with the quality of service we received and the quality of the product. I have recommended Colonial to several friends.

I bought new counters from Colonial Marble after seeing their t.v. commercial. Their commercial says that quality and service is what sets them apart from all of the rest. They are 100% right because it's the absolute worst quality and the absolute worst service is what sets them apart. They don't know the first thing about quality or service. This place is way too big to even know what's going on! It's run like a chinese fire drill !!!!!!!

I have never seen anything like this place. These guys pretend to know what they are doing. They sold me granite, gave me a cheap sink and a cheap faucet. My faucet leaked the second week. The sink scratched the first time that I put anything in it. My granite looks like it was installed by a bunch of amateurs. The seam stands out like a sour thumb. Do some research before purchasing anything from Colonial Marble. THEY REFUSE TO RETURN ANY OF MY PHONE CALLS!

My husband hired Colonial Marble for new kitchen counters. We failed to do any research about this company. One week after the installation I saw a huge stain on my kitchen island. When I called Colonial for advice thay told me that I should purchase a stain remover and apply it myself. I paid a different company to remove the stain for me since Colonial refused to do anything. The other granite company told me that Colonial never even bothered to seal my new counter tops. I will never go back there again. Do yourself a favor and go with a reputable company.

I went to Colonial Marble to look at their specials. After chosing a more expensive granite, their price was the same as some of the other companies that I had visited. The only way to save money there is by picking one of their cheap colors. The problem is that these colors are ugly. After they installed evrything I realized that the counters did not look even. I took one of my son's toy balls and placed it on my granite. The ball started rolling down my counter top and rolled right into my sink. I can't believe that their workers would leave my kitchen like this. I am still trying to get someone to come out here and take a look. I have already stopped payment on my check. Luckily I also paid the deposit with my credit card, so i called my credit card company and I'm getting them to refund my money.

I got a pretty good price. The granite in my kitchen looks o.k., but when I see granite in my friends' houses they always look ten times better than mine. The granite always looks shinier and prettier. My granite is brand new and everyone else's is at least a couple of years old. When I call to talk to a manager I get the run around. Now I see why everyone is writing these bad reviews. It can be very frustrating dealing with such bad customer service.

Pros: a large selection of granite

Cons: very bad installers- do not know what they are doing!

I have never dealt with such pushy salesmen. My husband wanted to save some money so we went with Colonial Marble. Do yourself a favor, spend a hundred dollars more and go with a company that does good work. My granite looks terrible. I have tried calling the office over ten times and they won't return my call. Go with a company that stands behind their work. Colonial Marble has a one and done mentality.
