We have to admit, we were VERY concerned with some of the reviews about Colonial prior to visiting and went to see for ourselves because their offer was too good to pass up. From the minute we arrived to the day our granite was installed, koodos to everyone at colonial from our sales person Anthony (who is GREAT by the way), the techs, and the overall service and quality of work received with our new counter!!! It looks great!\n\nWe took the time to speak with a manager regarding the reviews and were told that the majority were not real customer experiences but attempts to hurt their business by their competition. IThis company is very professional and we are happy customers!\n\nTina\n\n

Colonial marble has the lowest prices, I' ve been looking for over a year now and 2 weeks ago I got my vanity from them. Even though it was not a big order they treated me no different, they were very help full. My vanity looks terrific and their service was very good. \n\nAll the techs were very professional and careful while installing.

My kitchen looks astonishing thanks to Colonial. \nThey have great prices, remarkable selection of colors and most important great service. \nI would definitely go back to re do my bathroom. \n

I regret shopping at Colonial Marblle. I look at other people's granite counters, and they look so much nicer than mine. My counters look like my husband installed them. My kitchen counters are only a year old, but they look they were installed twenty years ago.

Pros: Not Happy

Cons: Do Not Give Good Customer Service

.

I WILL NEVER SHOP AT COLONIAL MARBLE AGAIN. THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT A QUALITY JOB SHOULD LOOK LIKE. MY COUNTERS DON'T LOOK ANYTHING LIKE THE PICTURES ON THEIR WEBSITE. I HAVE A SEAM THAT YOU CAN SEE FROM ACROSS THE ROOM, AND MY GRANITE HAS SCRATCHES ALL OVER IIT.

Pros: NOTHING

Cons: VERY LITTLE EXPERIENCE

.

I am sick and tired of companies that don't care about customer service. Colonial Marble has only been in business for two years. Their employees lack expriennce and their sales people act like they are selling used cars. Go to a company that knows how to treat their customers with the respect they deserve. I will never shop there again

I put a three thousand dollar deposit on two granite slabs for my kitchen. I went back a couple of weeks later with a tile sample to make sure that I picked the right color. When I got there I saw that my slabs were not there. When I asked the salesperson hhe told me that he didn''t know what I was talking about. As I walked around their warehouse my wife spotted our slab of granite in a huge pile of used pieces of granite. I saw my name on the slab, but it had a huge piece cut out of the upper left corner. It turns out that COLONIAL MARBLE SOLD MY SLABS TO SOMEONE ELSE. They lied to me and said that the slab wasn't mine, but it still had my name on it. I had them give me my money back. Do yourself a favor and go to a reputable company. This comapny only cares about money. They sold my slabs to the highest bidder.

I wish that I had listened to my friend. He told me not to go there because he heard that they do bad work. I decided to save a couple bucks instead. The granite that they installed has scratches all over it. They never told me that I would have two seam connections in my kitchen. The two seams are very noticeable. Do yourself a favor and go with a company that hhas bbeen in business for a long time. These guys just opened recently and it shows. I will never use them again.

Pros: not much

Cons: They Refuse To Back Up Their Product

.

I can not believe that Colonial Marble still hasn't called me back after I complained about the terrible installation that they did in my house. I wish I had gone with a different company. I spoke to a woman named Pat who handles all of Colonial Marble's Complaints. She said that they have had a lot of problems lately and that she would get back to me. Now, every time I call, I am told that she is on the other line. Go to a company that cares.

Pros: big place

Cons: VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I purchased granite counter tops from Colonial Granite last month. The installation looks so bad. It looks like I installed it myself. Go to a reputable company that has been around for a long time. This place has only been in business for two years. They have a lot to learn about customer service.

Pros: they have a lot of material

Cons: the material is bad quality

.

It is obvious that my granite was installed by a person with little or no experience. I will never buy anything from Colonial Marble again. They don't do good work, and they don't call their customers back when they have a problem. I have been waiting for someone to call me back for two weeks. I give up!

I don't think that I can ever shop at Colonial Marble ever again. My husband gave me a budget to work with, so I went to Colonial Marble and saved a litlle money. Unfortunately the granite did not turn out as I had wanted. The granite just doesn't look shiny. All of my friends tell me the same thing after they see it for the first time. I am so upset. They told me that there is nothing that they can do, since I picked the color and they didn't. It just looks like a very bad quality material. I going to save some money and try and get it done properly next year with a more experienced company. I wish that I had read some of these reviews before I decided to go there. Please learn from my mistake.

I am so dissappointed with my new granite counters. The seam looks terrible and Colonial Marble refuses to send anyone to my house to fix it. I gave up on them and decided to pay a reputable company to come to my house and fix it. When they came to my house they told me that they fix at least two to three installations a week that are completed by Colonial Marble. Go to a company that treats you like they appreciate your business. This place is so big you get treated like a number. No one cares about your little job. COLONIAL MARBLE ONLY CARES ABOUT QUANTITY NOT QUALITY!

I recently remodeled my kitchen and it looks wonderful. I really enjoy my new countertops and my island looks great. It makes a great presentation station. I had a dinner party over the weekend and everyone was stunned with the granite I picked because it is very unique. Colonial has so many granite slabs and a lot of them are very exotic and interesting. I am very satisfied with my experience with Colonial from start to finish. Finally, I have been to several other granite shops in the area, yet their selection is limited. Don't believe the negative reviews that are posted here. Colonial has superior granite, it is definitely not substandard.

Countertops installed August 12, 2009. \r\nI will keep this short and simple, as I cannot believe the negative reviews surrounding Colonial Marble & Granite. My finance and I decided to give our kitchen a facelift and chose Colonial for the countertops. Let me tell you, we couldn't be happier! Our kitchen looks fantastic! It appears that these negative reviews are coming from competitors or people paid to make them look bad.\r\nWhen we left the factory, we both could not believe the level of customer service, professionalism, and the overall sense of a business that cares about their customers. The install crew---what can I say--their precision and craftsmanship when fitting the countertops were above and beyond! I could go one for hours regarding our experience, but take my word and the other positive reviews for your reference. \r\nThank you Colonial Marble & Granite! \r\nMarc D

Pros: Outstanding customer service, workmanship & professionali

.

These guys made my counter top too small and when I complained, they told me it was not their fault even though they had a drawing with the dimensions. \n2 months after they installed my sink, the soap dispenser came apart. \nSpend a few more bucks and go to someone who cares about what they do.

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Poor quality, terrible service, no after-sale service.

I am not happy with my new granite counters. The person who measured made a mistake with my island. He never told me that I was going to get a seam. He did not go over any details. The guys that did the installation did not speak any english. I couldn't communicate with them. They were yelling in Spanish back and forth to each other, while a third guy stood outside and smoked cigarettes. The seam in my kitchen really stands out. I wish I had gone to a company with more experience. Colonial Marble has only been in business for three years.

I just want to let everyone know that Colonial Marble & Granite has left me so satisfied after my recent purchase of counter tops for my kitchen. I went to them because I saw the commercial on fox and couldn't resist the great $1999 deal. I had so many level one counters to choose from and got a faucet and double bowl sink with my order. After they did the template they installed my counters 7 days later and were so professional.\n\nIt seems to me that these bad reviews have all been written by an employee who probably did something very wrong and no longer works there, and my question is John, what is your full name? You seem to be complaining that people dont put their full names and youre contradicting yourself by not doing so yourself.\n\nAdriana Kapetanakis

Pros: Quality counter

.

I recently renovated my kitchen and added a large bar which required 62 sq feet of countertop. I went to Colonial because two of my very close friends recommended I go there based on their previous experience. One of those friends flips houses for a living and is fully dedicated to getting his countertops from Colonial. Colonial is the only company that he is dedicated to using repeatedly. I see some negative reviews on here and I'm baffled by them. Why would my friend repeatedly use them if it was a bad experience? Why would he and another friend tell me I should go there if they were anything but satisfied? I have only good things to say about Colonial. On the surface, the obvious benefit to using Colonial was the extensive selection of slabs. The inventory area of the warehouse is something like 50,000 sq ft, which is larger than a football field. It is absolutely insane how many stones they have there. Even if you aren't looking to install granite, it would be fun to go and browse through there just to see the huge selection and exotic stones. Below the surface, the customer service and sales help is phenomenal. I made two trips to the showroom before I even decided what stone I was going to use (I'm terrible at making decisions in a timely manner). Before I even entered the warehouse, the sales rep gave me a spreadsheet that told me the final price of each level of stone all based on my calculated surface area. So as I walked through the showroom I knew the final price of each stone if I were to have it installed in my kitchen. The rep walked me through and gave me some background info on the stones and then gave me as much time as I needed to browse. After I narrowed my selection list down to 5, I brought the face of my cabinets in. The rep gave me an honest opinion of each stone with my cabinets and pointed out things that only an experienced person would note. He even told me why my favorite stone wouldn't look good with my cabinets, and I totally agreed with him... I just needed someone to point out the reason. The installation went well and now I adore my kitchen. My bar is 13 feet long, which is longer than the largest stone they have, but the fabrication guys took the time to match the pattern closely. My stone is very veiny and colorful, so it is tough to match the pattern and the color, but they did an exceptional job. I don't know why some people have left negative reviews, but all I can speak for is my experience and I can honestly say I can't imagine the guys at Colonial treated those few people the way the review claims. Something isn't genuine with those reviews. Colonial has tons of customers that have all been referred or heard by word-of-mouth as well as repeat buyers... you do the math.

I AM WRITING THIS BECAUSE I CANNOT BELIEVE WHAT I AM READING! THESE NEGATIVE REVIEWS ARE BY FAR NO TRUE, THEY SOUND SO MUCH ALIKE AND IT SEEMS LIKE THEY ARE FROM ANOTHER GRANITE COMPANY AND NOT A CUSTOMER! Well I am a customer and\r\nI recently re-did my kitchen, bathrooms, and also my basement bar with new granite from Colonial Marble. I went to there showroom in KOP and was very impressed and satisfied with the high level of customer care that I received, I am a doctor and know the importance of customer service, they made me feel as if I was family and made my experience one that I would want everyone to know. It seems that in todays business people have forgotten what truely makes a great company great. Colonial is truely one of a kind in every aspect. I would highly recomend them to anyone. I quoted a few local granite companies and spoke to alot of representatives, and saw a large difference in prices, I was actually alittle shocked that the best service came with the lowest and best price, ussually it is the opposite, so I would like to tell the owners they are doing a great and wonderful service. I loved the prices so much I had them do my office and and actually refer everyone who comments on how great they look to them!! THANKS AGAIN COLONIAL FOR A GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!\r\n

THANKS AGAIN COLONIAL FOR A GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!

I am so impressed with Colonial Marble and Granite. My husband and I have visited other four other showrooms. We were indecisive as to buying granite because it is an expense, but when we came visited Colonial, we were absolutely stunned by the fabulous variety of slabs. I saw their television ad and was really curious and called them. I made an appointment and had an appointment with Pamela for the following day. The woman whom I spoke with over the phone was really accomodating with my schedule. Unfortunately I do not remember her name. \r\n\r\nLet me tell you, we have never seen such a granite place before and trust me, no other granite place in the tristate area can compare to Colonial Marble. When we went to Colonial Marble, our salesperson Pamela was really understanding and patient. She knew exactly want we wanted. She really knows her stuff! I brought in pictures of my kitchen. My husband and I picked 5 slabs and with Pamela's assistance, we were able to narrow it down to one for our kitchen countertops. We also bought a matching custom made kitchen cutting board too.\r\n\r\nThe price of the countertop was very good. We bought a Level five countertop and Colonial's pricing for level five is way better than the other four showrooms we've visited. Our edge too is absolutely stunning! The template guys were really nice and professional. And finally the installers were excellent too. The seem is not noticeable at all!\r\n\r\nMy friends and relatives are really impressed with my kitchen. Two of my friends recently bought countertops from Colonial because of my recommendation.\r\n\r\nAll in all, we are extremely satisfied with Colonial Marble and the entire experience was wonderful. We have started to build an outdoor bar and patio and we will definitely buy more granite from Colonial Marble. My friend also told me that Colonial Marble also added new tiles in their showroom so we will definitely take a look at the tiles as well. We want to update our bathroom. Thank you so much Colonial Marble for beautifying our home. \r\n

I went into Colonial with my husband in April and we were helped immediately. We became a little overwhelmed because they had so much to choose from.... We finally chose metallica gold granite and had our entire kitchen and island done. I have never been so satisfied with anything I have remodeled in my home. The installers, sales people and customer service of colonial are exceptional. The prices are extremely reasonable and i havent stopped receiving compliments by friends and family on how beautiful my kitchen countertops look. My husband and I returned to colonial in June and had our kitchen, living room, and dining room floors covered with marble. My home is small but now looks more elegant and expensive and I owe it all to Colonial. We highly recommend this place!!!!!

I am so unhappy with Colonial Marble. I should have known that something was fishy when I first went there. I felt like I was at a used car lot. Before I even had a chance to look at any slabs, their sales people were pressuring me to give a deposit. Looking back I feel so stupid for not catching on. This company does not care about customer sevice. All that they care about is getting your money. I went there because of an ad that they were running. When I got there they said that the special price was only good for three different colors. I didn't like any of these colors. There was one that I liked, but they told me that it was out of stock. Looking back, they probably lied so that I would pick something more expensive. The granite that I picked was over six thousand dollars. I originally thought that I would be spending under two thousand. Now you see why I feel stupid. The real problems started after I gave a deposit. The first person that came to my house to measure was very rude and did not care to answer any of my questions. He was throwing his cigarette butts all over my yard. When the guys arrived with my new counter tops, I noticed that the color wasn't as dark as the slab that I saw at their warehouse. They told me that it is my lighting. My counters also had this huge black spot right next to the sink area. The worst part of the installation was definitely the seams. I thought that I would only have one seam, but for some reason I ended up with two very ugly seams. When I asked the installer why there are two seams, he couldn't even tell me. I could not get any one on the phone at the office, to go over my complaints. The installers told me that if I didn't pay in full, that they would have to remove all of the new counters. I had no choice, but to pay the balance. I will never go back to Colonial Marble. Their customer service is the worst!\r\n

Pros: Don't get fooled by their large facility!

Cons: They are a very dishonest company!

Our countertops were just installed and we couldn't be happier that we chose colonial marble & granite. We visited their showroom and were amazed at the selection. It took us a while to choose and were so thankful that we weren't rushed, in fact, they moved slabs around for us even placing our two top choices next to each other so we could decide. This REALLY helped and their service was wonderful. Their technician that took measurements during the template was very helpful and took the time to explain and answer our questions which we really appreciated. The granite changed our entire kitchen and this was all thanks to Colonial's great service. Very nice people that care. Great experience overall!!!\n\nthanks, Maritsa & John

Thank you all at Colonial Marble and Granite? My wife and I have been contemplating granite countertops for years but were always put off by the cost? We met you at the Philadelphia Home Show and saw your special for $1,999 and could not pass it up? We had our countertops installed last week and they are gorgeous and there were no hidden fee?s on your special. We are very impressed with the service we received and how quickly your turn around time was. We will enjoy many happy years in our new kitchen?

This place is amazing!!! You can't even imagine the amount of stones at Colonial until you actually see it with your own eyes. There were like 30 isles of the most beautiful granite slabs we have ever seen. As if you were in a museum filled with God's art! Our installation was completed in one week as promised and everything went flawless! These guys are great and I've been around to see many shops but nothing compared or prepared me for what I saw at Colonial! Great price followed by superior service! If you're getting granite you must visit Colonial

Recently we finished renovating our kitchen, the final piece were the counter-tops. We visited about 7 local granite fabricators in Philadelphia and the surrounding area and made the final decision to choose Colonial Marble and Granite. \n\nWithout question, my wife and I couldn?t have been more impressed and satisfied with our decision. In my experience the best choice to purchase something is when a business/salesperson values you as a customer and not just a price tag. I came into each location with a budget and a picture of what I wanted. Some places were close to our budget (nice) or went over it (not so nice). \n\nWhen I went to Colonial, they were not only focused on our budget, well below it, but more so on us as customers. They took us to their warehouse, WOW is an understatement, by far the largest we have ever visited, and gave us more options than we could have ever imagined. Who would have thought so many colors existed! We never knew there were so many different stones and even better, the lighting was GREAT! \n\nNot only did they do an excellent job and working with my selection but they came in on average 30% under everyone else quotes and had the largest selection by far to choose from. We came out with a better stone, free sink and faucet. Most impressively, they turned fabrication , delivery, and installation around in one week! The installation turned out fantastic and let me also say, these installers were professional, work was exceptional and treated us and our home with extra care.\n\nThe best price, installed in 1 week, by far the best selection, and great service from the initial sale to the technicians and installation! All and all i will have to say this was a great experience and without a doubt, Colonial will be receiving many referrals from us!\n\nThank you to the entire Colonial Team and extra thanks to Pamela our sales person!!!\n\nTina and Todd\n

We want to thank everyone at Colonial for such a wonderful experience! The thought of having the kitchen counters re-done was a bit daunting. You made it like a walk in the park. Everything was totally completed within 7 days of me picking out the granite.\r\n\r\nThe job was expertly done by true professionals. You worked with me every step of the way. Helping me pick out the perfect granite, and your team never got ruffled - even when I made changes. \r\n\r\nOur kitchen is beautiful - we love it! We absolutely would not hesitate to recommend Colonial Marble and Granite to our family and friends! Thank you! \r\n\r\nThe O'Neil Family

Pros: SERVICE AND QUALITY

Pertaining to the comments of PJN, our company is running an incredible promotion with set, and published, pricing that make it extremely easy for customers as they shop. We are advertising this promotion very aggressively and our message is very clear as we were pushing for a simplified approach to a perceived difficult process. After calculating a customer?s square footage, and discussing others specifics of the project, we provide a worksheet with approximate pricing based on the lay-out information provided by the customer. We're absolutely clear on our pricing and try to avoid games so to create an extremely positive sales environment within our showroom. The specific poster in question was provided a one-day offer which was clearly outlined to him as such. We extended that offer an additional day when he called back later in the day to discuss further. When he returned, nearly two weeks later, he had an additional list of demands to be met at the same price which we could not accommodate. This is not to discount the perceived experience of this customer but to air out the true processes we have carefully put in place to create an excellent experience for all! Thank you, Colonial Marble Management

I too had bad experience with Colonial, KOP. 2 weeks back I visited their showroom, chose granite and negotiated a price. \r\n3-4 days later when I went there to pay advance and write the contract they not ready to honor the price.\r\nBeware of these guys and be wise.\r\n

This place has horrible customer service. The installers were late and very nice and apologetic (arrived 3:30pm). My backsplash broke during installation. We agreed to not apoxy and have a new one cut. A ""bar"" and second backsplash could not be installed until this one was. I offered to pay one half of what I owed (which added up to be $2625 total and I would have owed them $825 when the rest of the granite was installed). They said my option was to 1-pay everything except $200 or 2-have them install it tonight or 3-they would take everything back (the countertops were already glued and sealed!) I told them finish the job tonight. It is 9:30pm and they said the backsplash should be here in another 40-60 minutes and then the installation would take another hour. Do the math...we are looking at the earliest being done at 11:00pm. Lastly the installers asked to leave 15 minutes ago and were told if they leave, they will not get paid for today. Save yourself a headache and do NOT give these people your money!!!!!
