DONT GO THERE

Park is under new management now and things have changes for better. Its within walking distance to stores, restaurants, banks. Also very close to public transportation which is a huge plus.

If you thought it was bad back then, things have definately taken a turn for the worse. The police have to know some of what is going on in there, but for some reason are not patroling through there. If you go in through the top (which is now abandoned) you can see the skid marks where cars are doing doughnuts. I've actually seen cars driving about 50-60 miles an hour through those narrow little streets when there's speed limit signs of 15mph! I've also heard many horror stories about the increasing drug trafficking through there, which I'm sure the neighboring residents of Exeter would love to know about. Last I heard, the wonderful new management is more worried about setting traps to catch the cats in there (that have been there since this park existed 40? years) than getting the drugs out of there or even stopping the speeding which is eventually going to kill someone, god forbid a child.

Pros: None

Cons: Drug trafficking, slum, speeding cars

The Mother/Son team of Valenti's that own/manage this village should be voted out and other wise avoided at all costs. Speaking of costs, that is exactly what you will find plenty of here, but don't ask for anything to be done, it will more often than not cost you extra! Mis-management abounds, first off the so called credit check that costs a person $40 or more that usually is never ran, money in the pocket as it is called in the office, is more of a 'personality check' and to see if your check will clear in most cases! This is as close to the village of the damned as I ever want to get, and I did/do live there. Road ways that have trench holes, pot-holes are mere inconveniences to some of these, a sewer that backs up, water lines that keep bursting here and there, and it is not from too much pressure! Children lighting vacant places afire, throwing rocks at cars and houses, on and on......... a litany of things and none of which turned up in the credit and background checks, woo-hoo! Village of the Damned along with its' children and the management fits right in! Couple this with raises in th rent without sufficient cause, rather, whimsickle needs for it like lining the pockets of the near be rich. Let us not forget the front parcel which looks like a war took place on it, where many residents use to live.....the uninhabitable section as it is now known! Pockets of gas, could it be radon or methane?, no one is talking! Maybe some of the previous residents should find ou tif their health problems may have stemmed from this. Good Luck if you choose to live here, you have been forewarned.
