I go to this venue once a month. The dining experience has always been fantastic. This is a great place to go because of the great menu selections. The service is always friendly and good.

Nice to have good local Mexican food. Some of the consistently best Mexican since I lived in San Diego. Reasonable prices, interesting menu, good service. GREAT margaritas. Try to come during the week; they can get real crowded on weekends.

really enjoyed Casa Toro for quite some time and since it had been a while since our last visit, I was looking forward to dining there on a recent Friday night. Let me say: what a change. It was crowded when we arrived, but we chose to wait over an hour for our table. The hostess was kind and she asked us if we minded being seated at a very tiny two-seat table near the bathrooms and kitchen. We accepted, and that was our first mistake. Service was extremely slow, yet we had a bird's eye view of the servers texting, eating and "goofing off" by the kitchen window. Nevertheless, it took so long for our appetizers to come out that we asked for a second plate of chips/salsa only to find we were charged for it on our bill! When the apps did arrive, they were ice cold inside. My friend and I both requested to change the sides served with our meals (which the server said was no problem), but after waiting another 25 minutes, our meals were served with the sides listed in the menu anyhow. An additional 20 minutes later, lukwarm plates with the correct sides arrived. However, when my friend's dish was found to be inedibly salty and I discovered a sharp bone in my dish, I finally asked to speak to a manager. I was informed no manager was on the premises, but it was suggested I speak to the bartender instead. I wasn't sure what that was about, but I said I would. 10 minutes passed so I caught our server to ask if she forgot to get the bartender, and she said "Oh she's just very busy right now." After another 10 minutes I simply asked for my check, paid my bill and left. I'm not a high maintenance diner by any means, but $60 is a lot of money for two people to drop on poor service and mediocre food. If half the diners in that restaurant had an experience only half as bad as ours, I'm afraid Casa Toro will begin losing its clientele.

This is one of the top restaurants to eat at in the entire area, in my husband and my opinions. They are professional, clean, courteous, FRESHEST ingredients, fast and excellent friendly service....the food is top notch. I would give it 6 stars if I could ! If you like seafood...the Rollos Acapulco is to die for ! Also, ask if the friend avocado is available...it's amazing ! If you love mexican food....this is a MUST GO ! ! ! !

Authentic Mexican food, I love the Fajitas and Rollos Acapulco the best! They make a great Margarita and also a 'Skinny Margarita' for those counting calories. Small place, but you can usually wait in the bar area.

Great food. Great, great food. Atmosphere is not too shabby, service is pretty good as well. Highly recommended.

If there is one 'must have' it's any dish with beef in it (not ground, fajita style).

Best I've EVER had, and I've had mexican world-wide. Good job Casa Toro.
