I was initially recommended to Flickinger's by an officer who helped me with my car when I hit a curb in York Haven. I had the car towed there by Lovejoy's (who by the way was a stand up businessman and I would recommend his towing service to anyone) and they told me that it would take them 7-10 days to look at it. Well 14 days later when they finally did look at it, they told me that I needed a new suspension, sub frame, a wheel, and two tires and it would cost me a minimum of $1700 to get it fixed by the following week. One of the mechanic's there, Chris made it clear that he didn't care to have my business by simply saying "It wouldn't hurt my feelings if you took the car out of here." Either way, I left it with them but after speaking to my mechanic, he told me that a sub frame replacement was unnecessary because he saw that the frame was slightly damaged on this Volvo. So after asking them to do everything accept the sub frame, they refused and told me to get the car out of here and even laughed when I inquired why. They simply said we have paying customers and since you want to tell us how to fix the car, your black ass can fix it yourself. So, if I were you, unless you want to be "up sold" unnecessary repairs, or just would prefer to be racial bashed, I'd find a more professional place.

Flickinger's Auto Service prides itself upon quality and honest repairs. Flickinger's has never discriminated against any customer and fairly treats all. As owner of this business, I make it a point to discuss any recommended repairs, explore all options, and never"up-sell" unnecessary parts or repairs. I have been in business for over 20 years and have a loyal and much appreciated client base. In this particular case, the damage to the vehicle was so severe that a partial repair would have rendered the car unsafe to operate. The customer's numerous requests to replace only some of the parts were unacceptable. The customer's mechanic did not evaluate the vehicle while it was at our shop and could not have known the extent of the damage. After I, not Chris, attempted to explain our reasoning, I finally refused to do a shoddy, incomplete job. I requested the customer remove his car. It is unfortunate that this gentlemen believes race was an issue. We were only attempting to do competent work that meets our standards and upholds our reputation. We highly value our customers and attempt to be as forthright and professional as possible.
