I had a good experience at Judit. It's a small but warm place. I also had a fantastic experience at Skin Beautiful Medical Spa. They are by the Southside Works complex; on Carson. Hope this helps.

I went with y friend for her first Brazilian wax. I have waxed myself before but wanted to treat myself. My skin was red and had white bumps all over and raw skin! Not only did she double dip into the wax pot, she went over the same areas 2 and 3 times trying to get all the missed hairs. When I got home I still had to go over it with a razor! What a waste of $65 plus a $15 tip!

This was my first ever personal waxing experience. I was terrified that it would be an awful and extremely painful experience. I'm sure it could have been had I gone somewhere else.

Judit was friendly and professional and put me at ease. I am so glad I went to her. She is a lovely woman and easy to talk to. I was amazed that I didn't feel awkward at all considering what I was having done.

The spa itself is peaceful and relaxing and I can't imagine going anywhere else!

This spa is located on the South Side. A beautiful place to be relaxed and pampered.
My friend and I went for a Day of Decadence package which is a pedicure, manicure, facial and hot stone massage that lasted 4 hours. A great experience worth every penny and more (I have to add).
Judit and her mother were very nice and treated us like royalty.
The massage was wonderful, very quiet and relaxing. The facial was great as well, having sensitive skin it didn't leave red spots making my face looking like it was 'worked on'. Judit did a great job on the manicure and pedicure, this last one was a treat. Thank you.
If you want a great atmosphere and friendly staff you need to check this place out. I guarantee you will love it. I'm very pleased with it!

Depending on the service, waxing can be a very, um... personal (and if done incorrectly, painful) experience. My first bikini wax associated with a certain South American country was at the J. Sisters, while I was still a resident of New York City's Upper West Side. I was a regular J. Sister's customer for three years, until I relocated. Upon moving to Pittsburgh, I began searching for someone who would meet my exacting standards for a pain-free and comfortable waxing experience. The first two people I tried (who shall remain nameless) -- at very expensive and trendy salons in Shadyside and in the Strip -- were pretty terrible. The aestheticians were a bit snobby, and to make matters worse, a service that I have always breezed right through was actually quite painful. To add insult to injury, the worst waxes I've ever had were only $5 less than a wax from one of the J. Sisters. Absurd! I decided that Judit's would be my last foray into the Pittsburgh salon/spa world before buying my own wax warmer and embarking on what could have been a rather unfortunate experiment. Thanks to Judit, I never had to take it quite that far. Judit is a cute, super-friendly Hungarian chick who gave me the absolute best wax I've had since I left NYC and the J. Sisters behind 4 years ago. Judit is fun to talk to, efficient, and -- best of all -- the service was quality and virtually pain free. Judit's spa isn't huge, ultra-modern, or trendy; instead, it reminds me of a comfortable version of a fancy French restaurant. Judit's services are significantly better (and better priced) than anywhere else I've tried in town. I won't go anywhere else.

Let's face it, Pittsburgh doesn't have that many great things. Day spas are among these things, until Judit moved to Pittsburgh. Now, generally I reserve all my spa treatments for my monthly trip to NYC where I normally have waxing done at JSisters, facials and nails at Mario Badescu, and massages at Bliss. I've tried nearly every day spa in Pittsburgh, including Sewickley Spa, and I have continually been disappointed with the lack of expertise and service. All of that changed when I discovered Judit European Visage. I can honestly say the services are equivalent to those I receive in NYC, and I have finally found my sanctuary in Pittsburgh. I could write pages on her expertise and how perfect and professional this tiny spa is, but you have to experience it to understand. I highly recommend it.
