I met Christopher Hudson about a year and a half ago after moving back from Europe, where I had lived for the past ten years. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism when I was about six years old, although it was suspected that I started to suffer from the condition at the age of three, which brings me back to Chris, well for anyone who knows some of the inconvenient and upsetting side effects of having a hormonal imbalance is hair loss, which for a woman is even more disturbing and devastating. When I was first seen by Chris he treated me with the utmost respect and consideration and like any esteemed professional listened to me as I explained to him how I had virtually lost almost all of my hair, due to my thyroid problem, and how much this had afflicted me in every aspect of my life. I can now say that it was well worth it to have considered acupuncture as an alternative to conventional medicine, which was not helping me in any way, and sometimes even making things worse. I no longer wear my head scarf, which I had been wearing for about two years and am happy to say I now have a full head of hair and my confidence restored and haven't had any problems with my thyroid levels since my treatments started. I hope that this can help other people with the same problem especially women like myself who think there is no solution, but there is! Thank you Chris for everything!!!!

I found Chris in my search for an alternative to a number of health problems that came up for me. I have allergies, eczema, hashimoto's thyroiditis, rheynaud's, IBS and developed uveitis (eye inflammation) which doctors thought was due to internal inflammation caused by an immune disorder. They did not find anything but thought there was something happening internally with my immune system. I went to Chris very frustrated and anxious about what was happening. In the meantime I was going through the application process to a PhD program. In sum, Chris was very knowledgeable and recommended some supplements that have really helped. He was very gentle and understanding and I found that my anxiety was greatly reduced while going to Chris. The uveitis is completely gone since going to Chris regularly. My eczema still flares up but it too improved. Overall, I would highly recommend Chris. He is not only a great acupuncturist but a great person as well! I have since moved out of the Philly area to start a PhD program...I really miss going to acupuncture with him!!

I took an appointment with Christopher Hudson to get some help with gastrointestinal problems
(epigastric pain and loose stools after the removal of my gallbladder).
Christopher took the time to run a comprehensive evaluation and he made me feel comfortable right away. After the first session I felt relief and my health improved dramatically after the third session.
Christopher also treat me for stress and the results were immediate and very efficient. I had previous experiences with acupuncture but I have never met an
acupuncturist so attentive and gentle with the placement of needles. To me he is the best by far. If you are looking for somebody who will really take the time to listen and make a difference, Christopher is the one.

Christopher Hudson made a tremendous difference in my ability to recover from severe neck and shoulder pain. I was diagnosed with thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS) and had been referred by my neurologist to a physical therapist who specialized in TOS. Unfortunately the pain and stiffness in my neck prevented me from progressing. I spoke to several people who routinely received acupuncture for severe pain and learned that it was important to find someone which numerous years of experience and a gentle touch. After some investigating, I found Chris who seemed to fit the bill. After only two sessions I was dramatically better, so much so, that the physical therapist immediately noticed the difference. With the help of Chris? expert technique I was finally able to complete physical therapy and get back to the biking that I enjoy so much. Part of Chris? success is the personalized attention he provides. He takes the time to get to know his patients and develop a treatment strategy that will best work for their situation. His skill is remarkable and has never caused me any significant discomfort. I still periodically see Chris if I am feeling any flaring of the problem which has been both helpful for my neck and psyche. I should also note that after seeing my dramatic improvement, my physical therapist began referring patients to Chris.

Chris managed to alter my mood, my health, and my career path all within a few months of acupuncture appointments. I suffered from sinus problems and post nasal drip and with Chris' help these issues have all but disappeared. He also has helped with stress relief. Two appointments a month have had a very relaxing and beneficial affect. All of these things have contributed to me wanting to help other people find better health and happiness through holistic channels.
I strongly advise anyone looking to improve their health and mood to go to Chris. He is friendly, professional, and without an uncomfortable salesman mentality.

I have been suffering from anxiety for most of my adult life. I have been on Lexapro, and tried a variety of other herbal anti-anxiety supplements. Lexapro relieved my anxiety, but left me with a dull feeling, and I hated the like the idea of being on medication most of my life (since the anxiety came back after going off the medication). After a recent episode of depression which was caused by anxiety, I looked up acupuncture on Citysearch and read Chris's reviews. I immediately called him, and got an appointment a few days later. After my first appointment, I felt more calm then I've felt in years and the best part was that it lasted! The great part about acupuncture is that it helped me with some digestive issues and headaches along with the anxiety. Chris listens to your specific concerns and modifies the treatment each time to help you with whatever problems you may be having at the time. Since I don't have health insurance, it is an affordable way to maintain my health without the extra cost of expensive medications that never seem to work. I would recommend Chris for acupuncture to anyone who would like an affordable personal treatment for a variety of health issues. I recommend him to all of my friends and family! Chris is friendly and easy to talk to, and really listens to all of my concerns. I only wish I knew about Rittenhouse Acupuncture years ago, because I feel like I've gotten my life back!

I have suffered with migraine headaches for many years and have tried everything to help manage the pain. After reading about Rittenhouse Acupuncture, I decided to give it a try and have been very happy with the results. The acupuncture treatments have not only helped with my headaches but with stress and anxiety. I have noticed that I feel calmer in all situations and am not as anxious. Christopher Hudson has a very caring way about him, is easy to talk to, and makes you feel very comfortable. I would highly recommend him for acupuncture treatment for any kind of pain.

I went to Chris after suffering from headache lasting 4 months; when I walked out of his office, it was gone. I've gone to him several times, though not as frequently as I'd like due to a student budget, and each time I felt better than the last. I've had anxiety for my entire life, and have attempted to remedy it using everything from medication to therapy; Chris' accupuncture is the only thing that works. Whether you're an accupuncture devotee or simply curious, Chris provides the perfect treatment. He is attentive, friendly, thorough, and unfailingly courteous to his customers. I've recommended him to more people than I can count, and I would certainly recommend him to anyone curious enough to research acupuncture on Citysearch. Chris is money well spent!

I needed to stop smoking once and for all. I was opposed to taking medication to quit smoking but knew I couldn't do it on my own. I researched alternate possibilities and found that acupuncture could help in the areas I had previously struggled with when I tried quitting - restlessness, anxiety, irritability, cravings. I found Christopher Hudson on the internet and within a week I was in his office with my 7 day count down underway. His plan has been to really treat the problem areas and what a pleasure it has been! Who knew quitting anything would be so rewarding?!? I've found myself to be more relaxed than when I was smoking. The treatments have been really effective with the smoking (5 weeks and counting...) and my experience with Christopher will keep me coming back on a regular basis to maintain the wonderful relaxed state I've been experiencing with each visit.

I walked in truly miserable and walked out a different person. I have never had an Acupuncture session that worked as quickly as my time with Christopher. I was able to feel good inside and out because during our time together, I felt Christopher had become my friend as well as my healer. He listened carefully to my concerns and assured me that he could help. I really wish people will know to discover Christopher's amazing talents.

I was looking for an acupuncturist to calm my severe eczema and asthma. When I called Chris Hudson, I knew right away he would be able to help. I?ve seen dozens of dermatologists and pulmonologists but all they could offer was a prescription for another steroid, despite my clear opposition to such medications. Chris actually listened to me, and he helped me understand why these symptoms were occurring. He really got to know me as a person, and treats my mind/body as one. Although my progress was slow, (most skin ailments take time to mend) my life drastically improved from treatment. I?ve been able to live almost completely medicine-free and I owe it all to Chris. I feel very comfortable exploring new methods of treatment with him, because he is very knowledgeable and informative. The individual sessions are extremely relaxing and there is never any pain. I look forward to seeing Chris because we always discover something new in conversation and I inevitably feel better after a treatment. Let me begin by stating that I am not related to Christopher Hudson as this will read like something his mother would write. He is first a very human being, gentle and sincere. Add to that his skills in asking the right questions and his knowledge about what to do to help you and you have the perfect healer. Imagine, someone who listens to you so well that you are actually heard, not dismissed; someone who translates that awareness of you and your needs into the ancient application of needles on points to balance and energize your body; someone who then takes the time to advise you of ways that you can work to improve and keep the benefits received.

Well, you do not have to imagine it. Unless you are exceptionally ill - wait, I was going to say perhaps, in that case, you could not be helped, but then I just rememberd that I am exceptionally ill - the purple tongue lady he calls me, a sign that I am seriously blocked due to multiple chemical exposures. He has restored my energy, removed my edema and given me great hope for the future results.

Since I know that if he thought you needed medical (that is allopathic) help, he would send you immediately to a physician, I feel confident in advising you to see this wonderful, skillful, gentle acupuncturist (someone please come up with a better term) as soon as possible.

Christopher Hudson is a wonderful practitioner of this ancient art. I went in with neck pain and loss of energy, and over the course of several visits I have seen terrific improvement in my energy levels and increased mobility in my neck! His holistic, whole being approach to health is refreshing and necessary in today's health arena. I highly recommend acupunture as an alternative treatment and certainly recommend Mr. Hudson as a caring and interested healer skilled in this ancient art form. I have been suffering with arthritis, fibromyalgia and other autoimmune-related pains for many years, In addition, I had been suffering from abnormal menstruation for at least 3 years including unbearable cramps and heavy clotting, I have always believed that a lot of my problems came from stress. I have been seeing multiple doctors for 20 years. I had also seen chiropractors and two other acupuncturists. I have seen Chris Hudson off and on for several years. And have tried to make it a habit to see him now on a regular basis. Chris is amazing. He has balanced me. I can walk in on any given day ready to scream and Chris calms me through acupuncture. He has reduced the level of pain that I had learned to accept as my life. As far as the menstrual problems, they disappeared after one visit. That was truly unbelieveable after having been tested for various types of cancer and everything else under the sun.

The reason I like Chris more than the prior acupuncturists is the amount of time he shares and concern he shows. He is a good listener. He takes the time on every visit to ask how I am doing generally and about medical changes. He listens to what I beleive is happening with my body as opposed to simply categorizing me.

If you are a first-timer - there is nothing to fear! Needles are painless. The experience is completely relaxing. And Chris can help. Just remember, if it took you years to get to the state you are in, your pain is not going to disappear overnight. Good Luck!

I have cronic pain throughout my body from fibroymalgia and tmj. Dr. Chris Hudson has helped me tremendously. I have hardly any pain in my jaw anymore, which was my biggest problem. I didn't expect acupuncture would be able to treat my anxiety. I have felt more relaxed now, than I have in the past 7 years. I'm sorry I didn't try this sooner for my anxiety. I am much more relaxed and able to handle stressful situations. I have tried everything from therapists, yoga, chiropractic care, and medicines and nothing has given me as much relief as acupuncture, especially from Dr. Hudson. I highly reccomend him. It may seem expensive sine most insurance does not cover this type of treatment, but it is well worth it. I haven't felt this good in years! Thank you so much Chris!

I cannot sing enough praises for Chris and the work he has done for me! I injured my hip last Friday so severely that I feared I might not be able to complete training for the series of triathlons I am completing this summer. Based on the previous sucess I have had seeing Chris for other sports related injuries he was first on my list to call, I was hopeful but had no idea that two days after the treatment I would be pain free!

Chris, as usual, offered an incredibly thorough treatment, including points for my allergies and and additional points for my lower back, which contributes significantly to the health of my hips. He was so accomodating in this crisis and I am eternally grateful that I can start to get back on my training schedule with only 5 days out of commision (3 of those days I was simply waiting for our appointment!). I never doubt the power and possibility of acupuncture! Thank you Chris!

I woke up on a Sunday morning in so much pain that I could barely move. I had thrown out my back. My only option was to go to the ER, but I knew they would just give me some sort of pain killers to deal with the pain instead of treating why I had the pain. My sister recommended I try acupuncture, and I thought she was joking. After looking through some reviews online I called Chris Hudson, even though I knew it was a Sunday, to see if he thought he could help me. Not only did Chris explain the process to me (which I was nervous about), but he agreed to meet me at his office WITHIN AN HOUR AND ON HIS DAY OFF!!!!! I was so amazed at his willingness to help me, and after two treatments my back feels better than it has in as long as I can remember. At first I was skeptic and did not believe that a procedure such as acupuncture could help me, but now that I feel so much relief I know that not only is aupuncture a phenomenal form of treatment, but that Chris Hudson is amazing at what he does. I would reccomend him to anyone I know, or to ANYONE who is seeking treatment for pain they thought may never be eliminated.

I went to see Chris Hudson for mood swings and irritability associated with PMS. I've suffered with those symptoms for quite some time and have tried various forms of alternative medicine, including hands-on -healing and flower essences, none of which were effective. After several treatments with Chris, my symptoms subsided. Now, I go monthly for treatments and have continued to be symptom free. I recommend Chris to anyone. I can't thank him enough.

Rittenhouse Acupuncture, is very knowledgeable and caring. During every visit, I am asked how the last treatment affected me and how I are currently feeling, and treatment is adjusted accordingly. Chris Hudson, acupuncturist, genuinely cares that his treatments are benefiting your condition. Since I started seeing him about 8 months ago, my symptoms have drastically reduced, and he is honestly excited about that. I wouldn't go to another acupuncturist.

and if he moved to Seattle, he'd be the best acupuncturist there and i'd be racking up frequent flyer miles. i've been seeing Chris for acupuncture for just under 13 years and he has helped me through many health issues in this time. Chris always takes the time to listen to how you are doing and then asking the follow up questions he needs to so that he can determine the proper points for the issues at hand. that's a fantastic quality in a healthcare professional because it so rare. the results from the treatments have been very positive. he's helped me overcome acute issues and greatly improved my health on chronic ones as well. also, Chris treats your whole person: physical, emotional/mental, and spiritual. i can't say enough good things. i believe in him and highly, highly, highly recommend them.

I have had very bad pains in my lower back and legs for years partly due to a medical condition and from being on my feet all day as a hair stylist. A friend of mine swore about Chris and insisted I try him. I have not felt this good in years! I have tried a number of acupuncturists and none come close, Chris is professional, knowledgeable and explains everything thoroughly. Won't go anywhere else!
