This company is trash. No, I'm not an angry employee looking to cash them it's really just the truth. The real owner, an Asian lady named hyunja is not only rude to customers at times, but she treats her employees like trash. I worked there for 2 weeks and I have never dealt with someone who had such an undeserved superiority complex in my life. She would say the most foul things about customers behind there backs, and treat her employees like absolute garbage. I worked there for 2 weeks, the Co owner warned me about her, calling her the "dragon head lady". My problem came to play when she had him fire me because after two weeks she decided I wasn't "in it for the company". Worse yet, I had to file a claim against her just to get my pay because she is "too busy" to worry about that. Basically, she's an incredibly unprofessional slob of a business owner and deserves no praise what so ever. Think twice before walking into one of her stores, she's a pathetic excuse for a human being.

I will say that I do like Jainlee in Erie...for the most part. They are the only place I will go for Crocs, and the Asian-American lady was very friendly and a big help when I was buying my first pair of Vibrams over the summer. However, she is the only person I will deal with at that store. The young man that works there is rude to the point that I will not go into the store if he's working.

I went here on a mission to buy the Vibram shoes because my neighbor had gotten them from this store. I drove over an hour hoping to find these shoes. The woman there was so sweet. She is from overseas and is still learning English, but she was very helpful. She explained the differences between the running shoes that I was trying on. I was able to pick out the perfect pair in such short time, due to all the attention she gave me, that I had time for my three year old son to try on shoes also. We left happy with two pairs of shoes.

The disrespectful and dismissive way Dave Kelbauth answered wontBhassled seems to bee Jainlee regular way of doing business; his example is faithfully followed by his employees. Early this month (May) I went to the Jainlee store. I was shocked at the dismissive treatment with which the store clerks met me. I was alone in the tiny store, yet was treated as if I was a nuisance. But here is the beauty of Capitalism: I took my business to another store! The best thing one can do is to take one's business to other stores, since Jainlee is not the only one that sells Crocs--AND let Crocs know the way customers are treated at Jainlee. Now, Mr. Kelbauth, how many of these "40,000 happy customers" returned to your store to purchase more items?

Pros: NONE

Cons: EVERYTHING

There are two sides to every story, I will give one regarding wontBhassled's Review.

A lady walks into our store with a very used pair of shoes, with no receipt or proof of purchase, with a broken snap, and DEMANDS a brand new pair of shoes.

My employee offers to replace the snap without charge.

The lady complains that the snap is black, not brass colored. The employee offers to install black snap until brass snaps arrive from manufacturer.

The lady starts yelling and cussing at employee, so employee calls me for help.

Lady gets on our phone and immediately starts yelling at me, demanding a new pair of shoes or "She's going to complain to everyone until she gets her shoes," which she obviously has done.

I should point out that JAINLEE stores will sell over 40,000 pairs of CROCS in 2009. We have 40,000 happy customers this year, and one, who probably isn't even our customer (Probably an Internet shopper.), who isn't happy.

As I explained to this lady that our other customers with a broken snap accepted our remedy (Which is just a handful of cases.), the lady stated: "I'm better than all your other customers."

As this lady hung up on me, she proceeded to cuss and scream inside the store so much, my employee had to call Mall Security.

In summary, all I can say is that I am a retailer, not a psychiatrist.

EDIT: July 29, 2010

Dear jainlee sucks, as opposed to signing up on a new e mail account, I'll respond to your question here:

Your first complaint, 2009, 40,000 pair.

Your 2010 complaint, over 50,000, including your fake complaint for our Sandusky store.

I would say this additional 10,000 pair came because all your complaining... created interest.

Thanks,

Cons: We Deal With Crazy People As Best We Can.

If I could give zero stars I would!! The owner Dave Kelbauth is an arrogant rude man who yelled at me over the phone because I unfortunately bought a pair of $60 crocs and 1 week later the straps broke on BOTH pairs the same day (sounds like a defect to me) and he not only refused to cooperate by exchanging the shoes or even fixing them he told me "It does not bother me in the least what I think of this store" . Do yourself a favor and shop for crocs somewhere else. Currently I have written to the better business bearou, Crocs Inc, Jainlee Inc, and the Erie Times Newspaper. I am a smart consumer and will do my best to stop this guy from ripping people off. Please take your business elsewhere. Who knows how many people this guy has already ripped off.
