I purchased a leather sofa and love seat about two years ago for about $2000. The salesman gave me the pitch about the optional leather warranty for an additional $189, which I purchased. It was supposed to take care of anything that may happen to the leather for 5 years, accidental tears, rips, stains, anything. Well, what appears to be the sprayed on color finish started peeling off in spot like cellophane. The warranty company has an exclusion that doesn't cover "peeling". Mealey's says it's not covered, out of manufacturers warranty, nothing they can do. This company will not stand behind what it sells, even after buying the "covers everything" warranty was purchased. So I bought an expensive piece of crap leather sofa and love seat that it turns out I have to replace after two years. It looks awful. Apparently they don't care about their reputation and the quality of what they sell. Not happy. I wouldn't waste my money again on these bogus warranties. Mealey's.....you should be embarrassed.

Our salesman that day was okay. We originally asked for Jim but it was his day off. We looked anyway figuring if we find something we liked, we'd sleep on it and order it later. We ended up loving the Peanut Butter Cup sectional and matching oversized ottoman. I was concerned about it fitting in our doorways, and had already taken all the necessary measurements. Our sales guy didn't listen to my concerns and just promised the delivery guys would do everything in their power to get it in the room. He even told us if it doesn't fit, we can come back and pick out something else. Okay, not a bad deal.
Fast forward 6 days and the delivermen are here. The one guy comes in and takes out his measuring tape and starts measuring. 5 minutes later I'm being told it won't fit. Um, ok. I was confused seeing as the couch never made it out of the truck. I do understand the measurements, I really do. But the fact they weren't even going to try to get it in was what set me off. Then they tell us that they usually don't take furniture off the truck and try when it's off by that much b/c it's company policy that if the piece ends up damaged, they will not take it back. Again, I understand this but it was never told to us by the salesman. I'm sure it's in fine print somewhere so obviously, our fault but still.
After an hour of pure anger, we decide to go back to Mealey's.

Thankfully Jim was there and he made both my husband and I confident in Mealey's once again. He made sure the delivery was next day and went over all the possible fine print/policies. We got an even better deal on a sectional and even found a chair fit for my husband's gaming.

All this aside, for future furniture purchases, we still plan to visit Mealey's first, as long as we are able to have Jim as our sales guy. He's not pushy, let's us roam around, checks in often enough to make us feel he is helping but not to much that he's just interested in a sale, and he lays everything out. He answers any possible question you might have, even before you ask! Other furniture stores do not have this nor do they have the kind of selection and variety that Mealey's does.
They only reason I don't give them a 5 star is b/c the first salesman's misinformation about delivery. After a few more purchases(and hopefully no more problems!), I may consider writing a new 5 star review.

Mealey's Furniture has a great selection of traditional and contemporary style furniture. Also sell furniture made with Asian hardwoods for a reasonable price. Great customer service.
