What a treat this restaurant continues to be. Excellent, hot ,fresh breakfast. Innovative wraps and homemade soups for lunch, and suppers go from Pot Roast to Chicken Marsala to lump backfin crabcakes, etc. My family make it a point, actually we go out of our way to hit the Victory. Tom and Steve just started their 4th year and have brought this 'diner' back to prime form. The coffee is great, unlimited refills, handmade milkshakes, homemade breads for lunch and the prices are way to reasonable. If your withing 10 miles of downtown Hanover, head out Carlisle street and experience what my family and I have know for over 3 years. And the servers will treat you just like family. And to save a few bucks check the website www.victorypa.com for coupons. The owners bought a second restaurant in Taneytown, MD last year and that's right on par with the original Victory.

I've been eating at the Victory since 1964. Quite a few changes have taken place there, the menu, signage and decor have been improved as well as a recent ownership change. The new owner is committed to keeping the restaurant a nice, clean, well-lit family place where you will always feel comfortable and welcome. The service has always been very good and the food, while not necessarily gourmet, is classic American fare, always prepared fresh. Chicken and waffles, the "old stand-by" for me, still taste the way they did in '64. Steaks, burgers, broiled seafood and meatloaf are some of my favorites. If you live in or are visiting York or Adams counties in PA or Carroll county, MD, make it a point to have at least one meal, breakfast, lunch or dinner at the Victory.

BE ADVISED... Effective September 2, 2006, The Victory has new hours - 11 am to 8 pm, 7 days a week. No more breakfast potatoes. Oh well...
