I would rate Gold's Gym in Pittsburgh zero stars if I could. I thought I remembered canceling my membership, but I just put a hold on it. Gold's never contacted me to know that my account was being made active again even though I wasn't coming. A collection agency just contacted me and I now owe $120 for months that I never used the facilities. I went over to they gym to straighten things out this morning, but there was no sympathy or leeway. The lady I spoke with was very unpleasant to deal with. I have heard that a lot of the trainers left Gold's recently to work at the YMCA. I have been going to the PNC YMCA downtown for months now and like it much better, the equipment is super nice and they have a pool!

I put my membership on hold and it turned into a huge mess. I now owe a collection agency $120 and I never used the gym once during the months I was charged for. They should have at least contacted me to let me know that my membership was

This is a great gym with first-rate facilities and friendly and helpful staff. I also highly recommend the trainors, they are the best that I've ever worked with.

Gold's Gym in Pittsburgh is one of the worst businesses I have ever dealt with. First of all, I was tricked into a membership by the meat head general manager who was extremely unprofessional. He never told me the details of the agreement and I was under the impression that it was a one month agreement from what he had told me about the agreement. I tried to cancel but they told me it could not be done and refused. The payment is taken out automatically from your bank account. I was also severely burned in one of the tanning beds after a couple minutes because the power to the bed was fluxuating horribly. I wanted to make a manager aware of the issue so others didn't get scorched until they had solved the problem and he didn't care and said to talk to the General Manager. When I spoke to the general manager over the phone he told me that he couldn't do anything because I was just complaining to try and get out of a contract and he mocked me by repeating what I had said in a higher voice to sound like me "complaining". The staff at gold's gym for the most part are extremely unprofessional and sneaky. Pittsburgh will do just fine without employing these sorry excuses for "managers".

I have been a member since day one and never regretted switching from
my old gym. Great classes. Great hours. There is a wide variety of workout
areas, so I am never bored. You can watch a movie in the cardio theater, or
workout overlooking Stanwix street.
