I went to La Creperie for brunch with a group of friends. It was good but expensive for what you got. Portions were large but the service was spotty and slow. I wanted to try it for dinner but after reading some other reviews it seems like they still haven't gotten their act together.

My girlfriends and I went to La Creperie for dinner last evening. I will not return. They were out of a number of items (Crme Fraiche, for ex.) which they let us know before we ordered. However, after we ordered our waitress came back to let us know they were out of Bchamel, Plantains and another item- all of which were ingredients in items we had ordered.
We had brought two bottle of wine, for which the waitress gave us a bottle opener, but did not offer to open our wine. Which, in better restaurants, I have always had our wine opened for us.
After we ordered our appetizers took more than 20 minutes to arrive at our table. We had the fresh mozzerella and basil, Assiette Charcutiere (salami, pate, cucumbers, pickle) and two cheeses for (brie and greyere). The Mozz was soso- not very flavorful mozz, the pate was excellent, the cheeses were very small portions (three slices of each cheese presented on strange small blue glass plates). With our cheese we were given rolls which were hot and yummy, but after they cooled they were almost un-edible- very chewy.
Our crepes were good, not great and not flavored well. My dinner was La Paysanne- goat cheese, leeks and mushrooms. The goat cheese was of poor quality- overly ripe and very bitter. The leeks and mushrooms were delicious. At no point during our dinner did our waitress come to our table to see if everything was satisfactory.
She also immediately brought our check over to us after our plates were cleared. She never asked us if we wanted dessert or coffee. Only after my girlfriend returned the check to her did she come back to see if we wanted dessert. The desert crepes were OK- the strawberries were overripe and mushy inside their crepe, but by this point we were thoroughly ready to move on with our night. The wait staff was banging things around- obviously ready to go home for hte evening. Surprisingly, the espresso was excellent and offered with a lemon slice.
I will not return to La Creperie, even though it is only 20 minutes from my home. I would rather take the extra time and travel Beau Monde on the city.

this was a great place that we just stumbled into. We had a delightful salad to share and each had a savory crepe. It was great. The staff was very sweet and helpful. As far as the french on the menu. it's called culture. Just deal with it. It isn't like the restaurant requires you to ORDER in french. Use your waitstaff for their knowledge and not just as a server of your meal!!

this place shows very well. IT looks as if it would be lots of fun, and the atmphere looks colorful and inviting, but when you go inside the WHOLE menu is in french and everyone has to ask repeatedly what thing are and mean, which in tail means slower service and fustrated patrons. It left us fustrated. I will not be returning. If you speak french, it may be worth it.
