.

I had a scheduled C section (i'm a single parent the father decided not to be involved)

I came in on a tuesday morning supposed to have my csection at noon. Alot of emergency c sections were happening. No big deal I waited. Had my Csection and then was taken up to the private room.

I was talked to by one nurse being told I SHOULD breast feed. And I declined many times until i demanded formula.

I had alot of pain thought it was normal due to what had happened.the night shift was better at giving pain meds then any other shift. I was in pain alot during the day.

I dont remember them ever taking my baby to the nursery Even when I asked. like i said I was a single parent . I spent alot 2 nights there as i demanded to go home due to lack of assistance. I was a new mom my first child.

1st night there I tried to let it go. But I was in alot of pain . my baby was with me the whole time. i got NO sleep whatsoever. I lay in bed hugging my child dosing off from no sleep and quickly jerking awake unable to put her in her bassinet because my bed was low and to move was extremely hard.

Their was a point where i was hanging on to just the blanket and lifting her into her bassinet due to it being 1am and i still had no sleep i cried alot due to no one helping me. As my child was up all the time. She still to this day only sleeps a max of 8 hrs ..She used to get up every hr to hr and a half just because until she was 2.

A person finally walked into my room. NOT A NURSE. and i was crying asking if someone could come take my baby that was aroudn 2 am. She said hang on i'll go get someone. No one came back .

It was not 4am 2nd night there and i almost called my mother to come help me. But instead just lay awake exhausted from having a major surgery.

I went home 2 days after a c section due to LACK OF CARE. This hospital was supposed to be #1. My sister had 3 children there. I was very upset and displeased at my entire experience.

I came home and 2 days later i had an eruption in my stomach due to a hematoma . the hospital didnt even know that i had a lump on my incision because they failed to check properly.

I called their offices after I came home and they didnt seem to be bothered by my experience. But informed me that they hear this alot.

Shocked.

In the future if I have more children i will be taking myself to Holy Spirit Hospital.

I got practically no care or help. I even had to take a shower in my room and they didnt help me. instead my mother had to while my child lay sleeping in her bassinet in my room.

POOR CARE.

glad someone else had a better experience.

And i was told by the nurse the day I requested to leave that she didnt want my bad experience to be the reason i was leaving.
Would you want to stay?
