I just want to let you know how pleased I was with the service of A-Comfort. They were very professional but spoke in a way that a person who isn't familiar with the technical terms could understand. They were very thorough making sure the adjustment was all my furnace needed. They also showed me a little trouble shooting in case this or something like it happens again. If anything ever does happen, I will call A-Comfort.
I have lived here only 4 years but have had several of your employees in my home and every time I have been more pleased than the last. I don't think I have been so happy and so impressed with a company that did not sell jewelry, shoes or purses! A Comfort is highly recommended by me!
I am in the Internet business and just wanted to make people aware that false reviews are on this site. Anyone like other businesses can write these reviews and it is sad that they feel so threatened by another company that they would waste time creating all of these untrue statements. I have used A-Comfort Service for 22 years and they are an outstanding reputable Company!
Came home from work to a conked out furnace. Called a comfort and was told that it would cost me a $79 trip charge plus a $142 diagnostic just to find out what the problem was and then there would be additional charges on top of that if I needed repairs. After reading the reviews on this and other sites, I'm glad that I didn't fall for their classic "Bait and Switch" scam. I called another company and their charges were $95 to come out which included the diagnostic. After the serviceman figured out what was wrong with my furnace, the repair quoted was $99 for a total of $194 to fix the furnace. A comfort wanted more than that just to tell me what he problem was and then the repair would have been god knows what.
By the way, I noticed that the owner of A Comfort responds to reviews on this website and others by giving himself 5 stars. This awkward pathetic attempt at redemption clearly shows why he has so many 1 star reviews from real customers

We are sorry to hear that you were dissatisfied with your service call. We have researched your complaint and found the following: When we were dispatched to your house the problem stated was a frozen pipe. Once inspected by our plumber, he suggested the use of our pipe thawing machine. After quoting the price, we were given authorization to thaw the pipe in question. Unfortunately having a pipe filled with water, which then freezes and expands can be extremely detrimental to the pipe and internal components. Once the pipe had thawed our plumber checked the flow of water to the faucet, at that time he found that the damage had been potentially caused by the frozen water in the cartridge. So, as you can see, the damage was not caused by any negligence on our behalf; but rather was already damaged prior to our arrival. We here at A Comfort Service strive to please our customers, and we hope that with this explanation we can retain you as a customer.

We called A Comfort Service to check our AC. They did not know what they were doing and we ended up needing someone else to fix our AC. Go elsewhere.
A-Comfort installed a air cleaning system in my house and I am very satisfied with it. The system has greatly helped with my indoor air problems. The men of A-Comfort were efficient, responsible and hard workers. I recommend A-Comfort highly.
From the time Frank came to present the info through installation, with David and Jason, was very happy and impressed by work and professionalism.
Sean & Dave were great! They managed an installation over 4 little ones and they even made a house for the kids out of the A/C box. I have already referred A Comfort to my mom who is a local realtor.
Everyone from Frank, Dan, Phil, Dave, Jason, Cris to Nancy conducted themselves professionally, completed work looks outstanding. All technicians were very competent and were thorough.
We were very happy for getting a quality system at an affordable price. The loan was a excellent rate and paying monthly was something that really helped us. Words can not express how pleased I was with my choice in selecting A Comfort Service when purchasing a new system for my home. From the estimate to the installation the experience was very positive.
I recently called another company to come look at my furnace for some problems I was having, i was informed that my unit needed to be replaced and it would cost me somewhere in the ballpark of $4500 dollars...i decided to have a second opinion which is when i called A-Comfort (THANK GOD) after they came out and did a short inspection of my furnace they found there was a faulty part, which was still covered under warranty, and ended up only paying labor...I WILL NEVER CALL ANYONE OTHER THAT A-COMFORT EVER AGAIN!!! THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH.
I read all of these reviews and I am shocked. I have been using A-Comfort service for all of my heating and air conditioning needs for almost 18 years and NEVER had a bad experience. All of my neighbors use them as well as most of my co-workers at UPMC. They may not be the least expensive however you can see the difference when dealing with other companies. I always check with the BBB prior to contracting any service company, I sugest checking A-comforts rating (A+)
They told me that my compressor was bad. They quoted the condensing unit at $3,000 and charged me $184 dollar to come to my house. They told me that my unit was not under warranty. After getting a second opinion from Homer Nine, I found out that my Lennox Condenser was under warranty and I only had to pay for labor to install the new part. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! They also tried to rip off my neighbor. Luckily I was around to tell them not to use this company!

The A Comfort Service representative I had the regrettable circumstance to meet was rude and oppressive. Be very careful of these people, I greatly advise you stay as far away from them as possible.
A Comfort purposely gives you the impression they will charge less than their competitors because they don't charge by the hour like other plumbers do. They don't give free estimates, and are in your home when they drop the bomb on you. I feel their way of doing business is dishonest!
