We knew that the late summer 2008 market conditions would make selling our house a difficult and potentially lenghty task. To help speed the process, we decided to talk with a home stager early in the process of getting our house onto the market. We researched several local staging services and selected 'Stage A Star' for their certification, recommendations and service packages. Teresa spent two hours going through each room of the house as well as the yard making recommendations for changes, some small and some larger that would highlight the house's positive aspects while minimizing the negatives. She also explained the 'Why' behind each of her recommendations. She came back out just before we had the listing photos taken to make final recommendations and small tweaks to what we had done. She also gave us additional recommendations for the listing photographs and open houses beyond keeping the house ready for showings. We implemented most of her recommended changes and armed with some knowledge of the decision process behind her recommendations, identified some additional changes. I'm happy to say that the house sold in under a month and for close to what we listed it for. I believe Teresa's recommendations helped our house stand out and sell well in a tough market.

Sold our property in 30 days!

We received our offer exactly 30 days from us listing it on MLS. Being that we were For Sale By Owner, we weren't sure how it would turn out.
Your Staging Consultation was exactly what we needed. You hit the nail on the head with the paint color! We held an Open House every Sunday and with each open house, we had at least five potential buyers show up. Many of the visitors to the open house would visit again with their realtors or parents.
The feedback I received was that "Our condo looked amazing", "We decorated really nice", "The place looks brand new", and I often got "Is there anyone living here?"
We had the place as clean as could be, clutter free, and staged to show the space of the condo.
There were many other condos for sale in our neighborhood, some on the market for 2 years, and we had to make our condo stand out. You helped us do this!
In fact, when our new house is built, we were hoping to have another consultation with you on how to stage our new home! We struggled for 3 years with the condo on just how to set it up. We knew what we wanted to do, but just needed the advice on what really works.
Again, thanks so much for your help. The consultation was one of the best things we could have put our money towards!
