This is sad to see these comments because we used him back in '07 for our wedding and had a great experience! He was great the day of and our pictures turned out amazing! We also received everything shortly after our wedding. I was looking him up for a recommendation to a friend and it doesn't look like I will be doing that anymore...

My husband and I chose Jason to be the photographer for our wedding this past summer (June 2009). Everything went well with our engagment pictures and we were happy with how they turned out. Unfortunately we started having problems once the wedding came. He was very unpleasant the day of the wedding. We were told it would be 3 weeks before we could view the pictures online, and 10-12 to get the proofs. Well it took 5 weeks and much complaining on our end before they were finally online and it took almost 16 weeks to get our proofs. I actually had to meet him at McDonalds in order to get them. In looking over the proofs, we noticed that one packet (labeled Peter's shots) was on the website. Our package also included a coffee table book and customs prints, both of which we still don't have!! I've made countless phonecalls/emails but I haven't been able to reach him since October (when I picked up our prints). Yesterday I finally decided to contact one of this family members that I know, only to find out he had gotten a divorce and moved to Colorado. She said that she hasn't talked to him much since he left but as far as she knew that he was sending out pictures and photo cds to all his clients. If thats true, we still haven't gotten ours. I think the only left for us to do it to try and take him to court, but if he won't respond to our calls/email then there really is no guarantee he'll show up to court or that we'll get our pictures! The wedding day is supposed to be the "best" day of a brides life. Dealing with Jason is definitely turning my wedding day into the worst.

BEWARE. Jason is a tricky person. We had our wedding photos taken by him over the summer in 2009. Fortunately we managed to obtain our proofs after much calling and finally managing to contact one of his family members. We have yet to receive our album or custom prints and have been told that he has left the state. If you know anyone who has already given him a deposit, tell them that they'd better not count on having their wedding photos taken.

I agree with everyone below. Nice guy, good portfolio, but horrible service. I have only gotten my engagement pictures take so far and it is taking over 2 months for me to see the proofs. I have emailed him, called him, and all have been unsuccessful. He said that the proofs would only take 2-3 weeks. I was so frustrated that I got a hold of better business buearu and filed a complaint. Im hoping that works and that i get my deposit back. Now im looking into new photographers so that I don't have to deal with this for my wedding. If you are looking into him for your wedding, think again and find someone else. Totally not worth your time or money!!

I used Jason Manegold Photography Group for my wedding photos in September 2008. We were please with our pictures, but had a lot of trouble with our wedding album as the other reviewer. In January 2009, we sent Jason a $800 deposit (50%) for our wedding album and emailed him the selection of photos we wanted to include. I consistently followed up with Jason once a month in regards to our album. He would respond that we should be receiving a proof "very soon." On August 11, Jason emailed me that he was putting the "finishing touches" on our album and that we should receive the proof within two weeks. By August 31, 2009, I had not heard from him and sent him a follow up email. On September 23 (over one year since our wedding), he finally sent me a proof of our wedding album.

I was highly disappointed in the proof that I waited over 7 months for. We were originally told that 70 photos would be included in our album. The proof that we received included only 54 photos, some of which we did not even want!

On September 30, I emailed Jason and informed him that we no longer wished to get our album from him and requested that our deposit be refunded within 10 business days. As of today (October 27), I have not received a response from him or the refunded deposit.

We used Jason for our wedding. He seemed like a nice guy and had a nice portfolio. The pictures turned out ok. We got our proofs and we received an envelope of pictures of someone elses wedding that we had to pay to mail it back to him. In our contract was a wedding book, and trying to figure out what to do too forever. He is not responsive to emails and his voice mails are constantly full lately. I would email him for months and he would finally get back to me if I were to get really firm in the email. It has been 11/2 years since our wedding and our wedding book finally came in. He knows we aren't local, so I guess were going to have to pay his shipping fees to finally get it. I would not recommend him. I am known as a laid back easy going person... and I'm very frustrated.
