Fazio Automotive Paint Job From Hell! BUYER BEWARE OF JIMMY FAZIO and MICHAEL BREITBACH!!!!!!

In hindsight, I never should have answered a Craigslist ad posted by the Fazio Automotive body man Michael Breitbach. He came out to my shop, and wrote a lowball contract to do bodywork and paint my 1962 Corvette on 06-13-2013. He promised to fix all the fiberglass cracks and repaint it to look like glass for $3,800, but wrote the contract for $3,500 so that he could keep the difference. That should have been a clue. First he wanted cash to do the work under the Fazios name. Another clue. Then he wanted more and more cash to do a back door job at the Fazio Automotive shop located at 2037 N. Farwell in Milwaukee, WI. He loaded my beautiful Corvette onto a flatbad on 06-15-2013 with a promise of having it done in 6-8 weeks. That would be the end of July to mid August to be finished. The first big lie!

After week after week of unanswered calls and emails, I visited the Fazio Automotive shop to find out that he started work on a new project instead. After many more promises and assurances of next week and I will be painting the car this weekend, I learned that I had been scammed by a mediocre bodyman that was in way over his head. After being 6-8 weeks past the deadline (16 weeks and counting), I contacted the manager who knew nothing about the back door job his bodyman brought in, or the deal that Breitbach made on a Fazios work order. Work restarted and paint was sprayed, only to find dust, dirt, drips, and hair in the paint! When confronted with the shoddy work, Breitbach threatened to throw all the parts in the car and push it to the curb. My 50+ thousand dollar car! He then has the gall to tell me he wants another $1500, but cant account for any expenses. I refused to pay a conman price that was being inflated because of his inability to know how to write a bid (also known as a signed contract). The manager set a new deadline of 10-26-2013, but only for me to endure 6 more weeks of broken promises and blown deadlines. He even acknowledged that his shop is supposed to get written customer approval of price increases, which never happened. I then received a call from the Shop Proprietor Jimmy Fazio who told me over and over that he knew nothing about the Craigslist job that HIS bodyman had in HIS shop. Jimmy Fazio assured me repeatedly that he would make things right and that he would take care of me and that I would be very happy. More lies. His F-bomb laden phone call was something else! Week after week went by with more blown deadlines and calls were unanswered by Fazio, or were pawned off on the manager to respond to.

Finally, at week 27 of the Fazio Automotive Paint Job From Hell, I received a call that the car would be done in a day or two. Another lie. No call for another week (#28) only to learn that the amazing Breitbach creased the fender and needed to strip, fiberglass, repaint, and clearcoat again! When asked about the impending bill, and the $1200 I owe to end this misery, the manager tells me that Jimmy The Weasel Fazio now wants another $2400. I dispute the increase and am told that Fazio now threatens to take my car and put it into storage (at $25/day) until I pay what sounds like extortion to me. Jimmy The Con Man Fazio ends the call with an F-You to his customer. (Great recording of the call!) Upon final inspection, the car is messed up with loose headlights, scratches, missing hood prop, missing antenna parts, uninstalled trim pieces, and more. Thanks for returning an unfinished classic car to a customer in the dead of winter, in a 29 weeks fiasco, at a marked-up price not in the contract! James Fazio Sr. would be ashamed of what his son has done to this shop.

Reading these reviews about the owner Jim makes me feel better that others have experienced the same thing. The guy has serious anger issues, swears and screams, threatens people and won't let you get a word in....and then hangs up.

Here is my story with that garage.4 months ago, I had problem in my car which is Audi A4. It was not big problem just shaking and little sound. I drove it to that garage because its near to my apartment. First of all, they told me you have to pay $100 to check it. I said OK and I paid then they told me that there are codes on the check but if you like to do cleans "something like clean the engine" that will be fine and its cost about $600, I said OK do it. I was thinking I will be done after that clean. "$700"After few days, they told me you have to change to converter and the dealership price is high we can bring it from another place and cost about $1400. I said OK do it. After few days again, they told me the car is fine and smoothed. I was very happy to get it fix after spending thousands of dollars. When I drove it, it was not fine at all and the sound and shaking more . I drove it again to the garage and they told me the converter was not good on the car and we need to change them and you have to pay the different which was $600. I said OK but I need it very soon because I have a way to New York. "$2000"In the day I have to go NY witch was in the end of May they told me you that you can not drive the car because there is a problem in the transmission and clutch. "The car was drivable and after spending about $2700 it is not" I said OK how much its cost they said that there is used one on IL and cast about $3200. I told them to fix it and i was waiting for a month. "$3200"After paying about $6000, the car FAIL on the 1st Emission Test because of converter, secondary air, and EVAP control. I will not fix it because I paid the car price 2 times and if so I will not drop it to that garage. The End

I had my engine line begin blinking the other morning and my car was sputtering upon acceleration. To my own dismay I took it to the nearest auto garage, Fazio's. I also asked them to provide an estimate to fix a grinding noise I had been hearing in my rear driver's side tire. They did an estimate and called me the next day. First, they charged me $100 to even do a diagnostic test for the blinking engine light. They then gave me an estimate of $300 to perform a tune up. A TUNE UP. Replacing the spark plugs, wiring, and air filter. Regarding the grinding problem I asked them to assess. They said the brakes needed to be replaced and that it would cost $800!!! For only two brakes, not even all four!!! I told them I passed on their $800 joke brake job and to just do the tune up. I couldn't keep taking my car place to place or keep taking vacation days from work since I didn't have an alternative arrangement. They knew this so took advantage. They performed the tune-up. Got my bill and charged me $260 alone for labor. A tune-up takes an hour. If I knew these low-life mechanics got paid so much an hour for very general procedures I would have changed my major in college long ago. I reported these price gouging tactics to the BBB and inresponse their owner Jim Fazio left me a voicemail insulting me. Said "people like you make it hard to do business. You should be ashamed of yourself." Every single knowledgable car brain I asked about this agreed that these charges were titanic and that I was being price-gouged. NEVER EVER go to this garbage establishment. The owner is white trash and so is the entire operation.

Gave them a try as they are close to work. Dropped my car off in the morning and it was ready by the time I punched out. All of the issues I had were addressed (and fixed) without any hassles. Will definitely be back when new problems arise.

I've had several repairs done at Fazio Automotive over the years: repair of a door that was jammed shut, replaced oil pan and motor mount, a control arm, (and I can't remember if they were the guys who also replaced the engine) on my grand am back when I still had it. They also serviced my GMC sierra. After the repair jobs, things worked again just fine, which is exactly what I would expect from an auto shop. Well done.

Although the front desk receptionist guy, I think his name was Kevin, must've been having a bad day and was pretty snippy for no apparent reason, he doesn't own the place. Oh well - doesn't hurt my feelings. Jim Fazio, on the other hand, always called me personally with updates and seemed like a friendly guy who cares about his business. He was willing to work out a deal, and I like to support local businesses that aren't owned by WalMart (yet).

Keep up the good work! My only suggestion would be to figure out a better parking arrangement. Last time my truck was parked on the street and I got a parking ticket.

Anyway, thanks for the hard work.

I had my winter tires mounted by Fazio. Specifically asked for tire pressure to be checked and adjusted if needed. Guess what, next morning the pressure monitor showes low pressure! I had to do it myself at 16 F outside during my lunch break. Outstanding job! Thank you!

I have tried all of the east side/downtown auto repair services and Fazio's is the only one that has given me honest, consistent service with a fair price in my experience. I recommend them to all of my friends and family.

I took my car here for a power steering problem because it was close to my house. I get a call back telling me I need 4 new break pads, four new rotors, four new calipers, a new power steering line, an air filter, and a oil change. Total estimate: $2,061. With this ridiculous estimate in mind, I call Sears for a second opinion. An experience mechanic at sears says that he has never in his life seen a car that needed 4 new break calipers. I take my car to sears and the mechanic says that it would be prudent to get new break pads, but sees no problem at all with the rotors or calipers. Total bill: less than $200 (not including the power steering problem which I unfortunately had Fazios do for a quick $460 in the crooks' pocket). Two more quick points: I have heard from several ""car people""/mechanics that the ""oil change every 3,000 miles"" is really unnecessary with today's cars and the number for any car made past the year 2000 is more like 5,000 to 7,000 miles. Fazio said I was ""significantly past due"" at 3300 miles since my last change. Further, the ""labor charge"" on my quote to replace an air filter was over $20. May not seem like a big deal but it takes my grandma less than 2 minutes to do. It makes me sick to my stomach that the guy who runs this place is probably rich because he and his family have been scamming people since the 70s. I would do anything if everyone about to use Fazios was forced to read this site beforehand. I unfortunately was one of the suckers.

This was the worst experience I've had in 23 years. I took my car to Fazio's for an issue with the internal lights on the dashboard and dome. Fazio's took THREE days to fix the issue, priced at nearly $1000 and allowed me to drive my car home.

After leaving Fazio's I drove home, parked my car and tried to shut it off. The car keys were stuck in the ignition. Myself, neighbors, and friends spent an hour trying to get the keys out of the ignition but they were completely irremovable.

I called Fazio's, explained the situation and that it had just happened since I picked up the car from their shop and they claimed no fault whatsoever. (A bit ironic.)

I am a young, female and no doubt I look like I'm easily deceived, but, I wasn't about to give up easily. After taking my car back and examining the new issue, Fazio's called me claiming again that the ignition issue was 100% not their fault and that it would cost another $400 and 2 more days. This news obviously made me frustrated and I expressed my dissatisfaction with their service to the manager. At this point, the manager started cussing me out, swearing&screaming at me that it was not his fault and that because I was suspicious of poor business practices, they would not fix my car and THEY WOULDN'T GIVE IT BACK TO ME. I had to have a male family friend call and demand that they let me come pick up my car in order to actually get it back - it's so preposterous it's hard to even explain!

After picking up the car and taking it home once again, I realized that the initial issue of internal lights was only partially fixed. After nearly $1000 of labor and parts, the dashboard lights worked but the dome lights still did not.

Obviously, I did not go back to Fazios to have the dome lights fixed as well after the horrid experience I had. This was truly the most horrific, unprofessional and overpriced service I've ever heard of. As a female, I felt unsafe and threatened based on the treatment they gave me, the way the spoke to me and the threats they gave me. I have never in my life been spoken to by a grown man the way that Fazio screamed at me. He is a disgrace to the automotive industry and I'm amazed that he is still in business.

I've never really written reviews before but I thought it would be my duty to inform the public of the experience I had with this shop.

My car was making some weird noises and so I thought I would bring it in to get checked. They took their time and diagnosed it, they never physically took me to see what was the problem. They just came back and said I would need to replace my water pump. They ranged up the estimate and it said it would cost $500-$600 ($150 just for the OEM water pump itself) to change it. I paid for the diagnosis (which cost a hefty $105) and left to think about it.

I did my own research and contacted some mechanics to ask to see it that was reasonable. I was totally getting ripped off. I found a BRAND NEW water pump from Autozone for only $70 that comes with a lifetime warranty. I also found out that replacing it was not going to be that difficult. My friend and I ended up replacing the water pump by ourselves and it only took us 2 hours. Now if my calculations are somewhat correct they were going to charge me ~$200+/hr for labor? That doesn't seem right at all. In the end after replacing my water pump I found out THAT WASN'T NOT EVEN THE ISSUE. The noise was still there. My water pump was working perfectly, no broken blades or grinding noises, when you free spin it. So yeah it got ripped off on the $105 diagnosis also.

Moral of my story?

If you don't know much about cars and if they 'KNOW' you don't, they will try and take advantage of your wallet. Perhaps come up with false diagnosis (like they did to me) so that you would replace unnecessary parts and then later tell you that something else is wrong. This place really needs to be looked at again. I regret not reading all the horrible experiences people have been having before blowing off $175 out of my pocket, but it could of been worst. Don't let the 'East Side' convenience or the ""Shepard Express 2006"" award fool you because that's exactly what I fell for! Do your own shop research and beware of what service you might get here. My first, WORST, and last experience with Fazio's Automotive.

My car was making some weird noises and so I thought I would bring it in to get checked. They took their time and diagnosed it, they never physically took me to see what was the problem. They just came back that said I would need to replace my water pump. They ranged up the estimate and it said it would cost $500-$600 ($150 just for the OEM water pump itself) to change it. I paid for the diagnosis (which cost a hefty $105) and left to think about it.

I'm really not big into writing reviews, but the service that I just received at Fazio's was so atrocious that I had to write this to all potential customers who have the foresight to look at Google before going to this ""business."" My girlfriend and I both got an oil change half off deal from Groupon. Before I went over to get the oil change, last Thursday, the employee on the phone told me that they would not be able to get me in until Monday. He also told me that I would have to leave the car there for a couple of hours. I thought this was extreme, but it still was a decent deal.\r
\r
So I made the appt for Monday at 10:30 AM. Fazio's is close to where I work out and my job so I went and worked out over my lunch hour and then walked back to work. At 2:30, 4 hours after I dropped my car off, they still had not gotten to it. I told them not to bother and I would be back over to pick it up. Upon getting back to their shop I was not given my groupon coupon back or reimbursed for the money spent on said coupon. The guy meekly agologized. DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS MECHANIC. THEY TOOK A JOB THAT SHOULD TAKE 10 MINUTES AND COULD NOT GET IT DONE IN 4+ HOURS AND CHARGED ME FOR THE PRIVILEGE.\r
\r
Do yourself a favor and just go to Valvoline and pay the extra 10 bucks.

Cons: Everything about the business

.

I called in about my car- I knew I needed new brakes. Got a reasonable estimate (pads- everything. All the way down to the calipers- calipers INCLUDED)- the price was right so I decided to bring it in. Different guy was working there that day- went ahead and quoted more than TWICE as much on the exact same parts and labor. It wasn't like something was additionally wrong and they had to charge extra- I already knew what I needed replaced and so did they. If they can get away with it, expect to be overcharged- especially if they know that they can't get your return business (i.e. I'm just driving through town... or 'I'm selling this car and I need it fixed up')

Let me say this. Their knowledge, and, as far as I can tell, their work- is great. I have no problem with it, and my car is running fine. Great work. As for the people, everyone that I spoke with was very polite (as was I) and seemed very nice. That being said, when I was given the enormous quote over the phone (after they had my vehicle)- and showed extreme surprise at the suddenly increased cost- they began to quickly lower the price. It's like those mechanics who try to sell you a $10 air filter for $150. You look incredulous as soon as they say it, and they realize they misjudged how much you know about how much it SHOULD cost, and suddenly the price goes down. Unfortunately it's happened to me in the past, and I really hate that side of the auto business.

To sum up- it's good work, but they will overcharge (in my case, $50 more than twice the original- and the original quote was decent according to a family mechanic and my past experiences) if they can. Once they heard my disbelief at the cost, the cost went down, but no where near the original quote. It's another way to make you feel like you 'got a deal' when in reality, even with the sudden 'discount' and the random $20 coupon they gave me... I got hustled. I was in a bind, they knew it, so I had to pay up. I won't be taking another vehicle there again if I can help it. Great work- not so great prices.

Cons: expect your quotes to double once they have your vehicle

These guys are ridiculous. I've heard from every single person that's gone there how they have overcharged them. On top that: They bitched out my girlfriend and hung up on her when she asked why the bill was TRIPLE the estimate. I'm a normal semi mechanically inclinated dude, I'm not making this up. These guys SUCK!!! I wouldn't take anything there and they deserve to go down. Someone with knowledge and customer service skills should take over the shop with such a great location.

I've known Jim and his staff for years, they have been servicing my, my families and friends vehicles for the past 7 years. We've never had a problem with Jim, his employees or the repairs they've made to our vehicles over the years. Then again we don't go in there raising our voices and trying to tell them how to do they're jobs like I've seen some customers do over the years. Those must be the same whiners posting negative reviews here.\r
\r
I know people are leery about repair facilities, mostly due to their lack of knowledge/understanding when it comes to their own vehicles but that's really no excuse for the way these people behave. I've seen people walk into the shop with a chip on their shoulder, pissed about having to pay for repairs they didn't expect, it's not the techs fault. They start telling the service writers and techs how to do their jobs and they're not nicely suggesting these things, no, they're practically demanding, yelling even.\r
\r
What would you do if someone came into your work place and started screaming at you, discrediting your hard work? I'm pretty sure you'd get pissed and tell them to get the **** out of your cube, right? So why do people think they can unleash a verbal assult on someone else and not have any reprecussions?\r
\r
Wake up people, you can't treat people like sh!t and expect to get away with it. That's not how the world works. The next time you want to point the finger at Jim and his employees why don't you take a moment to think about how YOU came across in your conversation(s) with them? If you treat someone like an @sshole, they're more than likely to treat you like one right back. I'm just sayin.\r

Pros: friendly atmosphere

Cons: idiot customers

To say that Fazio's automotive has awful customer service doesn't do justice to the concept of service except maybe if you are a gangster. The owner seems to have an anger-management problem and may use profanity at you if you question the price or services rendered. I have never had a more terrible experience. As long as you don't haggle and your repair gets fixed they are perfectly "nice", but if the repair is bad, don't go back there.

Lucky I didn't believe the negative reviews on this site. My car broke down and they had me back on the road the same day. It was a pleasure to deal with the guys in the front office. I checked around and the price for a new fuel pump was very reasonable, although not the cheapest. I would use them again without question. I think people give them an attitude and then expect to not get one in return. Why can't people just be nice to others?

MOST HORRIBLE BUSINESS EXPERIENCE. EVER.
The owner is rude and belligerent--I went there for a repair that was diagnosed on a computer scan and they insisted that I spend $unkown sum$ on another computer scan without an explanation as to how and why this scan was different and more comprehensive than the same on-board computer scan I just had--which I would have gladly paid for if it were properly explained why I needed it. Instead, Fazio insisted AFTER the repair that I needed to pay $92.50 anyway to have the computer reset (in lieu of the proper comprehensive diagnostic test which may have disclosed that the repair was unnecessary in the first place), which my other mechanic does for free. When the repair by Fazio's failed and my engine light came back on (it seems that all they did was clear the check engine code), instead of running the tests and fixing the repair, which I would have willingly paid for, Fazio became argumentative and hostile, accusing me for the failed repair for not purchasing the necessary computer scan. I just wanted the problem fixed and was completely bewildered by the hostility and dispensation of blame. After the verbal barrage (AND unintentionally disclosing that he did NOT have the proper diagnostic equipment anyway) he then told me to get the **** out of his shop in spite of the fact that I was just trying to find out what was wrong with my car and get it fixed. Unbelievable. I tried to reason with this guy to find out what I needed to do to get my car repaired, but Fazio kept escalating into ""Get out of my shop! I'm not working on your car! Get out of my shop!"" This guy actually made me fear for my safety. He used threats and intimidation to void the repair guarantee. I see several other complaints by customers saying they were verbally abused by this guy...how can this business still be accredited? Common decency, patient explanation of diagnostics, and addressing mistakes is the key to good business. At Fazio's, it's ""YOUR ***ing fault"" and you will get an earful of this as you ""get the **** out of his shop"" bewildered at what on earth you did wrong other than try to get your car repaired with informed consent. This is how they ""guarantee"" their repairs: if it's still broke, you're gonna get choked if you don't get outta his shop.

My reply to Jim Faz's comment on this review was too long for the comments section.

Here is the comment he left on my telephone: ""This is Jim Fazio, nice review. I read it, and you are just so unbelievable, you know, I tried to get you to do the computer test and have it tested properly. So where do you get off? Youre the one who diagnosed it as an EGR valve. Youre the dumbass that f---ing told me what you f---ing needed because you know everything and then now youre going to write a review that is just so f---ing bogus? Grow up lady. Have some accountability. Youre the one that made the mistake, not me. And then you come in here, causing a f---ing problem, and Im supposed to just kiss your ass. Wrong, lady, wrong.""

Wait, I'm the dumb one? Why did you accept the repair if you knew it would not work? Why did you tell me to drive my car until the code light went off if you were not confident in your repair? You are responsible for the repairs you make. Customers are not ""dumbasses."" I never raised my voice with you or called you a name--you have a serious anger problem and your bullying is going to land you in prison someday.

Pros: you may have a ONE FOR THE AGES experience

Cons: verbal abuse, no explanation, bad repair, unnecessary upsell

I brought car to Fazios for an oil change and to plug a hole in a tire, they charged me $210 for this and told me my ball joint needed replacing and rackk and pinion was leaking.

I took the car to another mechanic who I've known for 20 years and he said there is nothing wrong with it.

This is not the first time Fazio has tried to upsell work that didn't need to be done.

Jim Fazzio is a crude, short tempered, fraud and liar.
I wanted a reimbursement! Was then cursed at and told to leave his shop. He doesn't like being caught.

Re: engine distributor replacement.

He did NOT put in a "brand new" part not just once but twice which I explicitly paid for originally. The fraud discovery was made 8 months later by another repair shop that replaced that same part after the car died for no apparent reason and failed to start. Frozen fuel line? Dead computer? Dead fuel pump? Loose wire? I'm not a mechanic. I didn't know so I had it towed to a repair shop a mile from where it died near my home in Brookfield 25 miles from Fazzio's. They diagnosed the problem and it turned out to be the same part Fazzio supposedly twice replaced. Go figure!

That second shop showed me the difference between the actual new part they just installed and a part that was probably the part that was original to the car including missing 2 internal piece's.

And, his warranty is pretty vague and self serving. In my case he voided his warranty by NOT installing a BRAND NEW part that I paid for. Warranty to subsequent towing charges? None listed.

I filed a claim against him with the Better Business Bureau which only then motivated him to concede offering a reimbursement of only 2/3's of what I paid him. I didn't accept the offer.Next step is small claims.

I brought my car in for a new fuel pump. The pump was replaced and a week later there was a pool of gasoline underneath my car and it wouldn't start, coincidence? I think not. So I had my car towed back to fazio. When they went to look at it a second time, they said there was a line that wasn't connected correctly so they fixed it at no charge. Ok great right! Not! So I go to pick up my car and they tell me that I have to pay $75 for the tow, that wasn't my fault. I told him that I wasn't going to pay for the tow because it was their fault. He told me that I wouldn't get my key and car back until I payed for the tow! Believe that?! Don't go to Fazio!

Took my car in to get my right axle replaced and less than 24 hours later my left tire fell off while driving. I was told to get my ball joints replaced but they failed to tell me how serious it actually was. I had to tow my car two blocks to be yelled at and pay and extra $400 to get it fixed. I almost payed extra to get it towed somewhere else because I didn't trust them.

My wife and I have been taking our cars to Fazios since the 70s. Jim Sr was the best technician in town and his son Jimmy followed in his foot steps. The guys at Fazios are the best and have always taken excellent care of our vehicles. From a basic oil change to an engine rebuild, I wouldn't even think about taking my cars to someone else.

I scheduled my appointment for the next day and my car was finished at the price quoted and back in my driveway in just a few hours.

I am new to the Milwaukee area, that being said when I was having problems with my car I didn't know where to go. A co-worker suggested Fazios, not having any other suggestions I went, boy am I glad I did. The guys at Fazios were great. They looked at my car first thing in the morning, as promised, and I received a phone call with an estimate (and a detailed description of the problem) before I even took my lunch break! My car was finished and I was back in the drivers seat by 6pm. This was by far one of the best service experiences I've ever had. Thanks Fazios!

Ive been to alot of shops in my time, Fazio's is by far one of the best I've seen. They treated me well and took very good care of old betsy. I think I finally found a shop that I can trust and count on. The service was fast and friendly.

Being a former auto tech I prefer to do my own repairs but when time is at a minimum I trust the staff at Fazios to get the job done, to MY standards. Never once have I had a problem with the staff at Fazios or their customer service. They always keep me updated as to the status of my repairs and the price is always that in which I was quoted. As far as the customers with these supposed ""horror"" stories, my 25 years of working in the automotive business has taught me, ignorance is not always bliss. People do not like what they cannot understand and therefore lash out at those that do. It's a shame these people are allowed to voice their opinion on such forums. It's very misleading to those of us looking for the quality auto repair Fazios has to offer.

Customer service was very good, was told they would look at the car within the hour and give me a call. An hour later they called and told me the fuel pump was bad. I gave the go ahead and was told it would take 2 to 3 hours. 3 hours later they called and said the car was ready. All the time the young man was very polite and explained everything in detail. Price was fair.

Being young and female, I often find auto repair shops trying to take advantage, but I don't get that at Fazio's. They are knowledgeable and get the work done quickly. They're one of the most convenient places on the East Side. Prices seem a little on the high side, but they've always backed up their work.

Not really knowing anything about cars i took my car into fazio automotive because i had a loud grinding coming from what i thought to be my brakes so i took it into fazios for service. Come to find out that it was my hub bearings and i had just driven way too long on them so i gave the ok for the fazio crew to go ahead with the work which was fairly cheap after i called around to other local repair shops to get quotes also, they had the best price on the eastside and were very friendly and knowledgable and it was the same day service which realy helped me. They also gave me a ride to work and picked me up when it was done the same day i will def be returning to fazios for all of my automotive needs. Also they gave me every deal they could for new customers they give you discounts and on there website they have all sorts of helpful coupons so fazio automotive is the best repair shop in my eyes on the eastside!!

1 - Went for brakes once. estimate was 770. Went to another shop for 110. \r
2 - Had a part repaired and it broke after 13 months. Called and they said they would replace it for free. once it was there the retracted that offer and said it would either be $600 or 150 for me to just get the car back. When I complained the owner began to curse and yell on the phone and hung up. Long story short, forced to have car repaired there. \r
3 - When picked up repair noticed they tore the dash board apart and broke part of it. Did not even inform me about this. When I complained I was told the owner would call me back. When he did and left a message he said I would be regret it if I showed up with the car for that to get fixed (the damage they had done!!!!) What kind of place is this????\r
\r
4 - STAY AWAY, trust me it will be the best thing you can do for car repair.

I took my car to Fazio's because I had noticed a shimmy in the wheels and wanted it looked at before I left town. I was told I needed new tires, so I gave them the go ahead. I was on my way to pick my car up when the owner called and said he had backed into the front end of my car with his huge speedboat, which in my opinion, was far to big to have in the tiny parking lot. He got a rental car for me which I had to pay for upfront and had my car taken to a body shop which ended up taking 3 weeks to fix. When the car was finished, I went to pick it up and nicely asked if I could get the tires discounted for being inconvenienced for so long. The owner flipped out, cussed at me, told me to give him a break and slammed a door in my face. I left, and his guilt must have gotten to him, because he called to tell me how he would try to make things right. I called and left three messages for him and he never once returned my call. 3 weeks later I had to drop off an insurance check for him. His insurance covered the damages, mailed a check made payable to myself and the body shop, and told me that when I was satisfied with the repairs, I should sign the check and then give it to the body shop. Taking more time off work to have my car examined posed a difficult task for me. When finished, I had every intention of getting the money to the body shop. The owner called and left a nasty and threatening message regarding the insurance check. I decided that I would take the check to Fazio's and in return request an apology for the way I was spoken to. When I asked for an apology the owner once again went ballistic calling me horrible names and again slamming the door in my face. I ended up leaving the check with one of his employees, simply because you never know what someone with an obvious anger management problem will do. I would have had good things to say about Fazio's, but it was this man's absolutely absurd verbal abusiveness that will NEVER have me going there EVER again.

The guy at the desk yelled, cursed, and threatened me when I picked up my car, this is most unprofessional behavior I have ever encountered. I went to Fazio to see if they could tell me why my 6th cylinder was misfiring. They said they would take a look at it and give me an estimate. I dropped my car off at 8 am At 6 pm I stopped in to see what the deal was. They informed me that they would have to do a diagnostic to tell me what was wrong. They said this would be 92.50. I told them I didn't want to do that. The gentleman then proceeded to berate me, telling me he had wasted his whole day and had called me twice and left me 2 voice mails. This was a lie(the part about the voice mails at least, I don't know about the spending the whole day on the car thing, but if he spent ten hours and all he could tell me was I needed a diagnostic test then his mechanical ability is obviously lacking). I honestly do not know what set him off, usually when I get yelled at I know what I have done to make someone mad, this time I had no idea. He proceeded to curse at me. He and I had words. He then threw my keys at me. I lost my cool and swore at him. I then headed for the exit with him cursing and yelling at me. I could not help but tell him to grow up and act like a man. He then threatened to show me what a real man is, whatever that is supposed to mean. (I would have preferred if he would have shown me what a real repairman was). I cannot emphasize how horrible the service was. I left my car with them to determine what was wrong with it, not only did they not determine what was wrong with it they berated me and swore at me for no reason. Bottom line- I should never lose my cool, but a person should NEVER NEVER NEVER be treated that way at a service establishment or anywhere for that matter. I do not recommend Fazios, if for no other reason the guy is an immature hot head, but also because while he may be a ""man"" his abilities as a repairman are questionable.

I just want to take the time to give a BIG Thank You to the guys at Fazio's. I don't know what I would have done over the years with out their help. All the oil changes, tows and a few major repairs they've been there for me for all of my automotive needs. They even helped my boyfriend buy a new car (new to him anyway)! I feel safe knowing that Jim and his technicians have looked over my car everytime I take it in for an oil change. Peace of mind is very important in my book and that's exactly what I've had for the past 7 years I've been going to Fazio's. Thanks again guys and I'll see you in 3 months/3,000 miles! =) \r

Cons: Nothing =)

I am new to Milwaukee and my car were making extremely loud noise (not hurting to drive). After diagnose, the alternator turned to be dad (only bearing needs to be replaced). The price they asked was around 700$. Their attitudes were not friendly but trying to screw a new guy over. I did not come back but instead I went to Napa and bought a brand new alternator around $200 (which was as premium as the Fazio suggested). Simply brought the car to a mechanic nearby, 150$ solved everything.

I made an appointment at Fazio Automotive for an Oil change and the Free vehicle inspection. When they did the inspection they found that I needed a new battery and spark plugs. They called to tell me what was wrong with my car and how much it would cost to fix. I gave the go ahead and they fixed everything and I had my car back that afternoon. They are very nice and I will be returning for all of my car needs.

I was new to the area and took my car here based on its proximity to my apartment and the fact that it was AAA and had other accreditations. The first time I took my car there it ended up costing almost $1000 and came back with whole new problems. After I picked my car up there for the third time in two weeks and it still wasn't fixed, I expressed my frustration to the owner. I explained that I expected my vehicle to be fixed the next time I brought it in. He accused me of being dishonest about the shape it was in prior to my first visit, then proceeded to tell me I could take my car somewhere else, threatened me and hung up on me. I ended up taking the car to a dealership and they fixed it right away, and I got a discount. Don't take your car to Fazio's unless you feel like taking money out of your bank account and flushing it down the toilet.

This was my first time taken my car to Fazio Automotive and I will go back in a heartbeat. I took my car in to the dealership and they gave me a outrageously high quote. So I thought I would try Fazio Automotive which I found driving down Farwell Ave one afternoon. I went in to get a quote and spoke with Jim Fazio ( Owner). He was very friendly as soon as I walked in he greeted me with a Hello and a Smile on his face. I told him what I needed and he took me outside to take a look at my car. When he was done checking my car out we went back in and he wrote an estimate which was about half the price the dealer wanted. Jim found a spot for me the next day. I dropped off my car the next morning and Jim called me later that afternoon to let me know it was finished and that I could come pick it up. It drove beautiful after that. I will never go anywhere else. I have told everyone I know about my experience at Fazio Automotive and recommended that they go their the next time they need work done on a car. Thank you Jim

A few years back I was involved in a pretty bad accident. My car and my body took on some pretty severe damage. With all of my doctors appointments and aches and pains the last thing I wanted to deal with was battling my auto insurance for repairs to my vehicle. I took my vehicle to Fazio's and I didn't have to. Jim (the owner) was great. He gathered all of my insurance information and dealt with my insurance company himself, so I wouldn't have to. He set me up with a rental vehicle and even directed me to his website where I could find a coupon for up to $200 off my deductible!\r
\r
Fazio Automotive is by far one of the best auto repair shops in the city. From their friendly courteous staff to their reasonable prices, I have no reason to take my vehicles anywhere else. Jim makes sure the job is done right and ON TIME.

I have been using Fazio's ever since I moved to the East side (about 4 yrs ago) They have been absolutely wonderful! They are always very accommodating. I have had numerous things fixed on my car at such a reasonable cost! I have always been well informed when it comes to the repairs and possible issues on my vehicle. It is always such a joy to go into the shop and see Jimmy's (the owner) smiling face! It really makes me feel welcomed. I would highly recommend taking your car to this shop.

I go to Fazio's for all of my automotive needs, from changing my oil to having them jump start my car in the dead of winter. They've always been fair and honest when it comes to price and usually have my repairs done the same day. I feel safe driving my family around, knowing that the guys at Fazio's find things before they become a problem. They've prevented me from having more than just a few breakdowns over the years. I wouldn't entrust my car with anyone else.

I've taken both my cars there now and have had the following issues:\r
Car 1 - Taken for an oil change&flat tire - They changed the oil, patched a LEGALLY BALD tire, and then told me my drive belt was cracking. I took the car home, inspected the drive belt (which was perfectly fine) and one week later completely blew out the tire they patched. \r
\r
Car 2 - Oil Change - They changed the oil and then told me of a couple problems I already knew about in addition to the following: timing belt needs replacement and a gasket was leaking. The timing belt was replaced only 20k ago and so was the gasket. Everything looks fine per my automotive friend. Also, they failed to notice another serious issue... which they had to have noticed. \r
\r
Additionally, I printed off a coupon from their website for a spring inspection. They refused to honor their coupon despite having only performed the work listed on it!!! \r
\r
My recommendation, avoid this place.
