The Capital Grille stays true to form no matter which location you are visiting. I love this place! The steak is incredible. Lobster mouth watering. Creamed Spinach, Tom and Mozz Salad, Potatoes- oh i could go on and on. They really treat you with respect as you dine.

My Fiance' and I just moved out to Milwaukee recently from Los Angeles we are use to very good high end quality restaurants with superb service. One night we decided to have a romantic dinner for 2. We were driving around and found the Capital Grille. The food and service was amazing...we had one of the best nights we have ever had. From the minute we walked in through the doors. All the staff was superb!!! We would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a great time at a place that treats you as if you were the owner :) I would definitly recommend Jeff as a waiter that you should have, he made our experience their amazing :)

Having read several excellent reviews of The Capital Grille in Milwaukee, I decided to make reservations there to celebrate our anniversary. I did so online and was pleasantly surprised that we had a specially prepared table waiting for us. There was lots of attention to details, including some complimentary treats throughout the evening. These were nice touches that really added much to our special evening. The food was very good (although my Kansas City strip wasn't as superb as I had hoped: the prosciutto-wrapped scallops was a dynamite appetizer, the small filet was custom prepared to be crusty on the outside and medium on the inside and the mashed potatoes were wonderful.

If you are looking for a total dining experience, The Capital Grille will meet or exceed your needs. We will definitely be back.

I have been working in Milwaukee for the past 6-months from Dallas, Tx and I would definitely recommend the Capital Grill in Milwaukee. Coming from Dallas where we pride ourselves on steak and chop houses, I have had none better than Capital. I visit Capital every week or two and the hostesses are always gracious, the wait staff is all very knowledgeable and they always greet me by name. The restaurant is clean, service is great and the food preparaton is outstanding. I highly recommend ordering the Kona crusting on any cut of steak. They have an extensive wine selection to go with any meal with a price range to meet any budget. I have tried other steak places in the Milwaukee downtown area but when I evaluate the quality of the food and experience for the price Capital wins hands down. Ask for Rachael as your server and you will never be disappointed.

Make your reservations online and describe your dining preferences. They will cater to your every want/need. I thought valentine's day was as good a time as any to try the Capital Grille. I made my reservations online with a preference for a booth away from the kitchen. We arrived to be greeted by a friendly valet staff (complimentary) and we entered the restaurant. We had a short wait until my prefered seat became available, so we pulled up to the bar where a very knowledgeable and friendly bartender made us our drinks to perfection. After pulling up the reservation, everyone from the host to the person who led us to the table and the server all called us by first name. Although it was very crowded, the setting was intimate and the decor was first class. During our dinner, we were greeted by one of the managers, who made us feel right at home. The suggestions from the server were right on and we fell in love with the bottle of pinot noir which was paired with my swordfish and my girlfriend's filet mignon. My glass was never less than half full, the waitstaff kept a constant level of cleanliness and organization that I have yet to see anywhere else. The food was phenominal and the timing between drinks, appetizer and main course was perfect, the server never skipped a beat. The wine selection will astound you and there isn't an item you can find on the menu that will disappoint you. For special occations, there's no better place to dine than the Capital Grille. 1 appetizer, bottle of wine, 2 entrees will set you back $200 with tip but in my opinion, it was very well spent. The experience is one you have to savor and will leave you wishing you could return the following weekend. There isn't a bad thing I could say about my experience at the Capital Grille.

Sizzling, juicy, flavorful steaks. Broiled to perfection. We've had steaks this good in cities like Chicago and New York, but Milwaukee? I have to admit...impressive.

In terms of quality food in Milwaukee this restaurant is at the top! The steaks were absolutely out of this world...even the mashed potatoes were fantastic! Service is great too!

If it quantity you're looking for at a lower price this is not your place. For a bottle of wine, two steaks and one side our bill was $150...

In my opinion worth every penny!

I visited the Capital Grille last Friday. I had an amazing time. I am a restaurant manager and I have to say... WOW! The food was out of this world and the service was amazing. Capital Grille lives up to its name in each and every city that I have ever worked or been in. It is all about great food and memorale service that sets a restaurant apart from another one. I will continue to visit Capital Grille. I love the wine, the steaks and most of all... the service. Thank you for making a special night an amazing one! To one restaurant lady to another... you know how to make a guest feel appreciated.

Frequently, I visit family down in Milwaukee. I've made my own steaks for over 30 years. I rarely if ever went out because I felt dining out was overpriced and the only people who dine out are the fools that are also maxing out their credit cards. I saved every dime I had and preferred eating peanut butter sandwiches than paying $20 for a meal. However, after selling my own business for 7 figures this past year, I am finally beginning to enjoy the hard work and determination that other financially smart people have before me.
My treat: A weekly visit to the Capital Grille. Let me tell you why. I've cooked those steaks for over 30 years. I've tried the other steak places like TGIF, Carnivore, Outback, etc. This is the only place that is a value. Don't waste your money on something with no value and that you could cook at home. Spend it on the perfection of a soft juicy mouthwatering pink in the center fillet mignon. The staff is great and the wine list is great. They have some rare wines that I've only seen in Vegas.
I took my whole family (15 people) to experience this restaurant this past weekend. Everyone loved it and can't wait to go again!

If your looking for an exceptional dinner and service then chose the Capital Grill. The waitstaff is very knowledgeable and friendly and the food is outstanding. My husband and I are thrilled they finally came to Milwaukee. It's our favorite restaurant! They will accommodate any need or request you can imagine, they really go out of their way to please you. Definitely give them a try it will be your favorite restaurant too!

LOVED THE ATTENTION THAT I GOT FROM THE MANAGER ON DUTY. COMING FROM THE EAST COAST, THE RESTAURANT WAS CLEAN, THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT AND THE FOOD WAS MOUTH WATERING. THE SERVICE MADE THE EVENING. I WON'T GO ANYWHERE ELSE WHEN I AM IN MILWAUKEE. IF YOU WANT GREAT FOOD, EXCELLENT SERVICE OR JUST A MEAL TO REMEMBER; DINE AT THE CAPITAL GRILLE. WE TRIED OTHER RESTAURANTS BUT NOTHING COMPARED. WE WENT THE LAST THREE NIGHTS AND WERE OLD FRIENDS. THE BARTENDAR EVEN REMEMBERED US AND HAD OUR DRINKS READY.

Great food, atmosphere and service!
The friendly complimentary valet parking and hostess got our evening off to a leisurely and welcome beginning. We entered into an elegant well-designed atmosphere that could fit any occasion. All the wait staff was congenial and helpful. Our questions on each course and wine selection were very professionally and timely answered. All we had to do was relax and enjoy.
Some of our selections included,
Oysters on the Half Shell and the Pan Fried Calamari. Both were so good that we can?t say which was our favorite. Our steaks, a Filet and a Sirloin, were superb and done exactly to our wishes. Sides of Asparagus and Baked Potato with the Wedge Salad rounded everything out. Did we have room for desert? We just had to try the Coconut Cream Pie, which we split, delightful! This was a wonderful compliment to a gracious evening and our car was at the curb in good time.

I took my sweetheart to the Capital Grille to celebrate Valentine's Day, and our dining experience was among the best I've had in recent memory (and I am sure my boyfriend would concur). The staff was friendly, courteous, and very accommodating, and the food was absolutely delicious! We started our meal with the calamari appetizer, which was wonderful, and each subsequent course rivaled the one before it. A personal favorite item was the Lobster Mac and Cheese, and the au gratin potatoes were delicious as well. My boyfriend raved about the salmon special he had for his entree and I thoroughly enjoyed the steak I ordered. By the time we got to dessert, we were both quite full, but couldn't resist the tempation of a wonderful chocolate cake to end our meal. It, like everything else we enjoyed, was amazing and very decadent... We plan to visit again soon..........

I've dined at The Capital Grille in Chicago and what a treat to have one right here in Milwaukee! Any time I have dined at the Milwaukee location the food has been outstanding! The waitstaff is extremely knowledgeable from everything to the food, wine and the art decorating the restaurant! The service that I have received is of the utmost professionalism and the Kona sirloin matched with Au Gratin potatoes keeps me going back! Complimentary valet parking is most definitely a plus, especially in the cold months of winter!

What a great addition to Milwaukee!! Wonderful food (For starters, I highly recommend the Calamari appetiser followed by the Filet Mignon and Augratin Potatoes,,,oh!! and the Cheesecake is out of this world!!), excellent service and very attentive, a nice ambience throughout the restaurant, very clean. Another bonus is the valet service. Great for celebrations, business lunches and or dinners or a night out on the town.

Recently dined for our anniversary and the personal touches and service were exceptional! From the greeting by the hostess to the complimentary champagne toast, beautiful rose and anniversary card at the table, we were thoroughly impressed. The steak and lobster were the best we've had in quite some time. And to finish it off, a complimentary dessert and wonderful photo rounded out a very memorable evening.

WOW!! There is nothing like this restaurant in Milwaukee! We dined there for dinner once and find ourselves always going back. The customer service is like no other in the city. The food is always outstanding and who doesn't love complimentary valet parking! You must try out The Capital Grille if you haven't already been!!

The simple upcharging for every little thing is a dramatic turnoff. I expected more from this restaurant considering its national reputation.
