.

I had never been to Trollhaugen until this year. I went the day after Christmas, and went from 10 in the morning until midnight that night. I like the fact that if I wanted to I could go skiing until 3 in the morning! I thought the Trollhaugen was had some really nice slopes. My favorite was the double back diamond. I also really liked the terrain park. I didn't like was the on our way out the owner of Trollhaugen was really rude with us. My brothers and I followed in a ski patrol into the ski lodge because my brother was hurt. We brought in our skies and we were yelled at like we were ten year old boys for bringing our skies into the lodge. I am 22 years old and i thought it was very unprofessional for the owner to yell at us for bringing in the skies when we had gone in to help my brother out. He should have better posting of signs for those who are first timers there to understand his expectations. I would go back to ski.... if I was really really really board.

It is a pretty decent skiing place, but there are a couple better ones only a few hours away. They do offer skiing classes for beginners. Snow tubing is pretty fun here.

Trollhaugen is a rather small area for downhill skiing, even for the midwest. They have four chairlifts and a handful of ropetows. However, trollhaugen does offer snowtubing and a 2.5k cross country ski trail which they make snow for, offering cross country skiing even before the first snowfall. The cross country skiing isn't great, and is only 2.5k, but it's better than nothing during a warm winter.
