This is what i think of Moto Scoot and their practices and their People.
Not noing anything about scooters,i decided one day to look into getting one to save gas.I had no idea what i was getting into.
Then came MotoScoot! Bill and Andy took care of me in a way that i haven't seen in decades! You know..Where they actually care about the customer!!!..Like it was back in the 50's! Well anyway, after the purchase of my scooter i had some questions...ok..Lot's of questions and Bill an Andy are right there for me.Keep in mind that this is now 4 years later. They are always busy there,I don't know if they are the only scooter shop in Milwaukee but it sure seems so. Hmmmmm...There must be a reason that they are so busy.Oh i know what it is!!!
IT'S BECAUSE THEY ARE THE BEST OF THE BEST!! Hands Down.
Anyone who would say anything negative about these guys just doesn't understand the volume of service they provide. It may take a little longer at sometime, but there is no where else i would trust my scooter but here!
To Bill an Andy:
Thank you for what you do,Who you are and How you do it!!!

I bought a used Ruckus on Craigslist 2 years ago. (We've 5 drivers in the house, 3 of them teenagers, and only 3 cars.) Runs great. Lots of fun. It started to get loud, not the muffler, something in the motor/gearbox. I called Moto-Scoot "sure we work on Hondas, but we have a 2 week wait". I'm an understanding guy and bring it in on Monday June 21st and they'll call me in "2 weeks"
No call.. I call on Thursday July 8 " We were just about to call you, something is shot with the motor. Might need a rebuild or a new motor"
"How much?" I ask.
" Could be $400"
"OK" I say. Hell, what are my options.
"2 more weeks" he says.
I stopped by yesterday (July 26) to see how it's going.
"We haven't touched it. It's gonna be another week at least. We're very busy. When someone says 2 weeks they don't really mean it."
"So if someone says $400, they don't really mean it?" I ask.
"When do want to pick up your bike?" he asks.
"Tomorrow" is my reply.
Picked up today and took it to an actual Honda dealer.
So if you need scooter storage, try Moto Scoot on Water Street..36 days, no charge. No service, but no charge.

PART TWO...

So I took my Ruckus to a Honda dealer and they called me the NEXT DAY with a detailed written estimate...the motor is toast and repairs (worst case scenario) would be $650 for parts and $550 for labor... $1200 total.

Even if an authorized Honda dealer charges a 50% premium over an independent shop (probably more like 25%), the job would still be $800 ($960)..

So I guess the guy at Moto Scoot must have realized that his initial estimate of $400 was WAY too low and would rather be seen as a rude jerk than incompetent businessman, incapable of accurately estimating the cost of a job.

Pros: Price

Cons: Service?

I bought my scooter here and have received good service but will not spend another cent at Moto-Scoot. The owner is anti-LGBT so I can no longer support his shop. If you are LGBT or an ally take your business elsewhere!

Two men, a dog, and a scooter (or thirty or so...)!

I don't know which shop shenna123 was at, but I can tell you it wasn't Moto-Scoot! We were some of Bill's first customers and we haven't looked back since... We went in to the shop for information on the shop/scooters (on top of the research we'd already compiled) and came out with our second car (the TGB 'Key West'), two jackets, two helmets, a carrier case (?), a messenger bag, and Bill threw in a goodie or two for our son, Seth. We've had the TGB in for a few adjustments over the last three years, and Bill, Andy and Riley (the dog) have always been truly attentive, personable, patient, and a joy to work with (and pet)... I would say to anyone looking to purchase, or have their scooter serviced, 'run' not walk to Moto-Scoot...
Tell Bill that JJ sent ya!

In the fall of '08 I took my Madass Scooter to MS to have some upgraded engine parts installed, get a general check-up done, and have the front shocks rebuilt.
Owner Bill and chief mechanic Andy did a very good job, finished on-time, and were always friendly and helpful whenever I called or stopped by.
They both spent the time to explain my options and give good honest advice. They're obviously passionate about scooters. I'll happily take my scoot back to MS whenever it needs any service.

Pros: staff expertise, location, discussed, documented, and stuck to work-order, super-cool guard dog

Cons: none

I have to say that I had a terrible experience at Moto Scoot. It took a month to get my bike back! When ever I called for an update, I was spoken to very rudely. And when I finally got it back the seat was off, it was dirty, and clearly all they did was start it up. No test drive or anything! I got about 2 miles away when the bike died. After getting back to the shop, we discovered that they put in a used spark plug and the spark plug cap was broken so it couldn't maintain contact! I've had nothing but problems since. After dropping a couple hundred dollars there, I'm going to have to take the bike in to another shop to get it fixed up! I'll never go back to moto scoot, and don't recommend it for anything other than a flat tire!
