I've been to the Mason Street Grill about four times since I moved up here last year, and loved it every time.

The style of the place is very upscale - it's located inside the Pfister hotel - but we've been in both fancy dress and in casual clothes and never felt out of place. The wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and very accommodating to special dietary requests. My friend has a very sensitive stomach and they were able to prepare a meal exactly to her description, despite her request being totally not on the menu and being exacting about what ingredients she had to avoid.

The menu changes enough that each time is special. The steaks are pricey but the quality really comes through. This last time I had a goat cheese ravioli with fresh local tomatoes and basil, which was absolutely superb. Paired with the house salad and fresh hot bread, it was a fantastic meal.

Pros: Valet, heat lamps outside while waiting for Valet in winter!

Cons: A bit pricey for what its worth.

Editorial from

Located downtown in the historic Pfister hotel, the Mason Street Grill doesn't have a catchy name but it does offer high-quality steaks as well as rebooted side dishes and desserts. The vibe is classic steakhouse with dark woodwork,…
