Work quality was OK but not outstanding. Supervision of the younger and thus newer employees is poor. Better supervision would prevent problems. Generally good about finishing work in a timely manner. A major issue is that they did not do the final occupancy permit with the town building inspector. I was contacted over a year later by said building inspector and was informed that this was not done and that there were some code violations that needed to be fixed. I was trusting this company to follow through with the contract we signed which included them doing the final occupancy. They failed to do this and now are not returning my calls or e-mails. If you use this company you will need to do a lot of the follow up and not trust that they are taking care of things. The building inspector told me that this is not the first time that this has happened. I am guessing that the reason is that it is cheaper for the company to simply forfeit the $300 deposit than to fix the issues/code violations the final occupancy may uncover.

The owner of the company contacted me after I spoke with the Milwaukee NARI people, who also contacted them on my behalf. (Mukwonago Remodeling is a NARI member). The owner was very apologetic and has scheduled some of his staff to come out July 17 between 8-8:30 to correct the building inspector findings. I will then after inspection by the building inspector (if everything is corrected per the list) be able to get my occupancy permit.

I will update this to reflect the outcome.

Everything was fixed and we got the occupancy permit. Bob (the owner) has really improved and was more than willing to fix the issues so we could get the permit.

I would change my rating to satisfactory.
