I read the review of the person ahead of me here -- however, I used them for about 15 years. I did receive notice in the mail that they were discontinuing the processing software and I would need to sign up with their new program.

I phoned, and was given the fees for their new program, and I declined (I went to Wells Fargo which suited my needs better).

Evalon has continued to charge me even though the system I was using no longer works, the processing service of theirs I was using on line has been stopped by them -- and they continue to charge for a service that is not even available.

Apparently the verbal cancellation in June was not "good enough" and they charged me $20.00 for July. When I called about it, they said they were also charging me $20.00 for August (this, they take directly out of my account).

I am now on the phone with my 7th customer service person this morning, and 90 minutes of my time (hardly worth the $20, but it's the principle), who said he will try to get me the refund.

In any case, when you get notification from a company that they're changing and your service will no longer be available as of June 30, you kinda presume you're not going to get charged anymore, and that you wouldn't have to waste your time getting them to do their job properly.

I have used this merchant for about a year for my VISA billing. They supposedly recently sent a letter outling a new compliance policy, sent by regular (not registered) mail that, surprise, didn't make it to my office. When I was charged $20/month for being "noncompliant" with these new policies, I saw the charges on my bill from them and called for an explanation. They would not reverse the fees though there was no other notification of these policy changes with associated fees apart from this letter. My recommendation to everyone is to use another merchant billing service - there are many, many others available.
