Do NOT purchase anything at this store if you think there is even the slightest chance you will need to return it. The management at this store simply does NOT staff the Customer Service counter with adequate staff. I purchased a VGA monitor extension cord which I didn't need. It took me more than 30-minutes to finally get to the ONLY Customer Service representative - and, there was only three people in front of me. While in line, I talked to other customers who confirmed that this is ALWAYS the way this store staffs their return counter - it's like you are being punished for wanting to return something. To ""magcot"" who said in his review that he had a good experience, I can only say - good luck if you need service or need to return your new GPS. If you do, I look forward to seeing an updated review from you.

I stopped at this Best Buy to get a new GPS after mine stopped working on a weekend trip to Nashville. I was impressed! I'm not sure where the negative reviews come from, but they are simply not true. The staff was friendly, from the guy who greeted me at the door and pointed me to the correct department, to the guy who helped me choose a GPS. He was very knowledgable and very helpful. I am glad I was able to find a place so reliable to help me in my ""emergency"". I would definitely return.

I buy most of my Blu-rays at Best Buy. Their prices are necessarily the cheapest (at least after release week), but their selection is top notch. Almost always have what I'm looking for. The staff is friendly, too.

I've read a lot of the reviews for this best buy and i am quite apalled. I've lived her neary 8 years and we shop at THIS best buy religiously. I've never had a problem with extended warranty, and honestly i don't know what a RAIN CHECK is so maybe the associate didn't either. And certain corparate branches tell their associates not to do something unless you ask, so don't expect someone to do something just because it's common sense; they might not be allowed to until you ask. I'm always asking associates for things and I've never gotten an answer that didn't solve the problem. At this location. You should realize that your exasperation colors your outlook, maybe that was the day the babysitter canceled and you had to watch the kids, well now everything has a negative tinge to it. But writing negative reviews on a store that is nothing but outstanding is bad for their business, everyone deserves a second chance. there are multiple associates and managers, so if you don't like who you're talking to; TALK TO SOMEONE ELSE. It really is that simple. Enjoy the free demo games (demo camera's can't be left plugged in all the time, it destroys the battery, so when they're unplugged they die, next time tell an associate to plug them in.)

I live in Brentwood, so it is only a 10 minute drive from my house, but I generally shop online instead of coming into stores. Unfortunately, the speakers that I wanted to buy for my new home were not carried at any other local store and I really wanted to listen to them before purchasing, so I thought I would give this store a chance. I called and talked to Micah (?) on the phone, and he was very polite and put me on hold for until he found someone in speakers to help me out. He transferred me to Justin in the Magnolia area, who was extremely helpful over the phone and setup a time for me to come instore for a demo of the speakers I wanted to buy. Needless to say, I was pretty surprised by my experience so far, so I decided to go ahead and drive over on my day off. Justin was there to meet with me and he even played some music that I requested to make the sound more familiar. I ended up buying the speakers and talking to the manager on my way out the door to let him know how impressed I was with the service I received. If you haven't been to this store in awhile, give it a chance!

I bought a very expensive camera a few years ago from a different best buy, after almost 4 years of ownership, the ccd panel on it went back, I had given up on it and bought a new one because the repairs were too expensive. 3 days after purchasing the new camera from a different store I got a letter on the mail from best buy telling me that my warranty of the damaged camera was due to expire in 3 months and that I could renew it. I took it into the best buy store in cool springs and they pretty much told me that I was making them lose money by sending the camera for repair so close to the expiration of the extended service plan, either way they said it would be 2-3 wks before I got it back. About 2 months later, and after calling them every other day, i finally got an answer about my camera, i was told that I would get a replacement for equal value or a better camera. After ""talking"" (pretty much begging the manager to accept the replacement policy) we agree to let me pick a comparable camera. After almost 4 yrs of owning a $1000 sony digital camera, a comparable model was a point and shoot that was worth $139. I kept arguing with the RUDEST store manager ever who told me ""I'm doing you a favor by replacing your camera"" I guess when you purchase an extended service plan from them, it means that they have the right to harass you and belittle you as much as possible. I have purchased things from other best buy store and people have been great and NEVER did I have to argue about an extended service plan before. The store manager seems to think too highly of himself at this store. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this store.

My Rating: Less Than Zero.\r\n\r\nSo last week I go to the store to buy a camcorder (now called a miniDV recorder or HD recorder). They had a good selection. The problem is, that probably 75% of the electronics on the display case DID NOT WORK. In most cases they simply did not have electricity going to the camcorder itself. This was in the DISPLAY case. They had a good selection of probably 20-30 units total----to bad I couldn't turn them on. Also, when I called these people and asked if they had a particular unit in stock, the idiot on the phone said, ""yes we may possibly at this current time have four in stock prospectively""... HUH? So I said, ""I am coming to the store in 15 minutes, DID YOU HAVE THIS SALE ITEM IN STOCK"". She gave me the same hair-brained answer. She said maybe it takes the computer an hour or two to update (she didn't even go to the shelf and look, she typed in the inventory computer). I then asked if I could get a rain-check if the sale item was out---she said, ""maybe it is very possible something we might do"". HUH?? what kind of answer is this? The correct answer is: We have the item, Yes (or No) & we give out rain checks, Yes (or No). Reading the other responses I can understand why people hate Best Buy and have bad experiences wth it. If they did/did not have the item, that is fine, but the incoherent answers I can do without. I was asked several times if I needed help in the store, but after the stupid incoherent answers on the phone, I thought it best to avoid these people. I would write Best Buy LESS THAN ZERO.\r\n\r\n

I work less than a mile from here so it is very convienent to go here. I will drive 10 miles out of my way to avoid this place. Although the prices are reasonable, the staff is RUDE. I have given them several chances but each time I go back I am always dissapointed in their service. They really need to train their staff on common customer service. Choose to spend your money someplace else.

I have had several bad experiences at the Best Buy in Cool Springs. The customer service is absolutely horrendous. Every single person I've ever dealt with there is RUDE, and worse yet - they are not knowledgeable of their products. \r\n\r\nI took a camera there to be replaced (I had the 4-year service plan). I took the camera in two months before a trip overseas. About a week before I left for Europe, I called to check on my camera only to be told, ""Ooops. Your camera hasn't even been sent to Precision yet."" So.... needless to say, I took a once in a lifetime trip without my $1,500-dollar camera!\r\n\r\nAlso - beware that they will not let you return a ""opened item"". I got thrown out of this store and can't go there for two years because I argued with them about this policy. My question is ""how am I supposed to know if something works if I don't OPEN it?"" I didn't get a real answer, I just got rudeness and smart alecks. \r\n\r\nAlso - the Geek Squad did an in-home service on my computer. They told me over the phone prior to the visit that my Dell was not under warranty anymore. So, since they took the serial number of the computer prior to telling me that, I believed them. I spent $459 all total for them to fix my computer, but it crashed again. So, I just called Dell. Dell told me my computer WAS still under warranty, and they replaced my hard drive for free. Best Buy/Geek Squad screwed me out of $500 for nothing. \r\n\r\nThere is NOTHING good about this store, its customer serice, its policies OR its employees. They don't want to help you. They just want your money. Once you swipe your card, they don't care about you anymore because they know they will NOT REFUND YOUR MONEY FOR A FAULTY PRODUCT. \r\n\r\nCustomers PLEASE shop elsewhere. There is an HH Gregg, Toys R Us, Target, Wal-Mart, Circuit City and Game Stop nearby. Don't even bother pulling into the Best Buy parking lot. Just head to HH Gregg or somewhere else. And don't forget: you can also shop online at amazon, etc.

On December 29th 2005, I returned my laptop computer to the Best Buy Store in Cool Springs Tn. to be repaired. I was told that my laptop would be sent to the Atlanta Regional Center for repair and would be returned to me within (2) week!!!! It has been exactly (1) month and (5) days and still no sign of my laptop. I have had numerous conversations with the store manager ""What a looser"" and he has no clue as to why I still do not have my computer. To my great disatisfaction, no one at Best Buy or the Atlanta Regional Center can tell me why I have not received my laptop much less where it is located. I have spent over $3,000.00 dollars purchasing the laptop and SPS Service program . I Strong Encourage that you not buy anything from this store. \n\nSigned!\nSleepless in Brentwood Tn.\n

Day after Thanksgiving deals in the paper were not honored even when doing exactly what store employees said to do. ""Management"" was rude and after several attempts to get them to honor their advertising I was told ""We don't want you in the store"". Not a good attitude for retail management!!
