I would definately recommend Jim Reed Hyundai to anyone in the market for a new car. I took 2 different cars for a test drive then went to several dealerships to compare other brands. I didn't find any other brand that compared to the value of the Hyundai Elantra and I can't say enough about the dealership. My Salesman and the Sales Manager were very helpful throughout the entire process. This is my first purchase from Jim Reed and probably not my last!

I loved experience a year and half ago at Jim Reed Automotive and that's why my wife and I went right back to Jim Reed for a second purchase. They treat us right. There's no beating around the bush. Tell 'em what you need and they'll do their best to make ya happy! Highly Recommend Jim Reed for your future Ride:)

great service, they let me take an extended test drive by myself and I really liked the car after driving it for a while. The Elantra Touring is a great ride with lots of room and great handling.

I am in the market for a new car. I am looking at several different ones. The sales representative was very helpful and knowledgable about the different cars. He answered all of my questions, and helped me in anyway. When I do buy a new car I will be going back there.

The selection of New Subaru's at Jim Reed is on par with the other competive dealers. However, the sales staff and managment are a cut above and very helpful. It is sad to go to other dealers and know more about their product than they do, but at Jim Reed that is not the case. Therefore, I would recommend Jim Reed Subaru to anyone.

I had been shopping for a car for about 5 weeks and was stuck between Toyota and Subaru. I had visited about 4 dealerships and liked the Yaris and the Outback but couldn't find a price that would fit my budget. I was leaning towards the Yaris, but I went in to test the Outback one last time to be sure. Still loved the ride but couldn't make the numbers work, so I was about to leave when my salesman suggested taking out a Sonata. While I hadn't really looked into Hyundai at all, we got in and took a drive. I was impressed most by the handling and the features, and best of all, for the price tag on the Sonata I found a car that fitted my transportation needs while maintaining my budget numbers (not to mention a sweet warranty I had no idea about!). I was very happy with Jim Reed, and I have recommended it to my coworkers and will be happy to recommend to anyone else. The moral of my story: don't forget to check out Hyundai, and at least give this dealership a shot!

I have used Jim Reed for service and have just purchased a new car from them. They were courteous and did not pressure me. They gave me a great deal on the new car and a reasonable price for my trade in. The service on my other car has been priced fairly and they did exactly what was requested. I know I will continue to use them in the future.

Last month my family was vacationing in the Dickson, Tn, area when our 08 Hyundai Azera started making a clunking noise on take-off and on bumpy roads. It got worse over the weekend, and I saw the Jim Reed TV ad in Nashville. So Monday morning my wife and I drove Hwy 70 all the way to Nashville to the dealership. When we arrived about 9:30 am we were promptly greeted by your "service writer?" Brandon Ottow. I explained my problem and he informed me the Hyundai technicians were booked up that day and if I could leave the car they would take a look at it as soon as they could. I explained I had nowhere to go and or other means of transportation, so we would just wait in the customer lounge. An hour or so later Brandon came in and gave the news. I had a rock that had become lodged between the lower control arm and the engine block. Each time the engine torqued it would grind the rock into the block. They had removed the rock, test drove the vehicle and the problem was gone. He recommended rotating my tires to deferred a new set, and I asked for an oil change. This was all accomplished in less than an hour. Here in Florida it always take 2-4 hours just for an oil change, I think they want us to spend time looking at new cars. I was very, very satisfied by Jim Reed's service department and the personal interest Brandon Ottow took in handling our problem. It made our vacation an enjoyable one instead of a nightmare. We will try having our vehicle service each time we go to Dickson instead of at our local dealer. Brandon and the service technician deserve a raise.

The first tiime I had a problem with my car, ignition went out...it took 9 days to get the part in and fix it and they did not want to give me a loaner...had to fight like hell to get one...this time my AC is acting up and again they do not have the part and this time will not give us a loaner, their solution is to come pick up my broken car and drive it til the part comes in...they assure me it will not further damage my car....GM Jon Reed has not returned our repeated calls...a friend had her car fixed there and they did not even check to see if it was fixed properly...she picked it up and got half way down west end and the problem returned....sorry but what incompetent people in the service department and what an unproffesional GM...i will never take my car there again! if yo don't have parts in stock and are keeping a car for many days you need to provide loaners...or just keep the parts in stock...you are a service department

We are a long time customer of Jim Reed and we only service our cars with them. We own a Hyundai and a Subaru and would not go any place else. Wayne Ferebee is the best and the whole sevice team is great
If you want honest people working on your car then go

A while ago they had a promotion for some used cars and I was looking to see if I could find my sister a cheap used car. So me and my friend went to the dealer and waited for them to open this ridiculous lot they closed off for this promotion. What we found out was they were selling the cars on the lot negiotiating the price right then and there. The advertisement said they had 10 cars under 2000. When we looked around they had one and it was wrecked. So I asked how much another car was slightly damaged too. But the guy just started pressuring me to buy a car I was just looking at. Then when I told him I wanted to pay for it he insulted me and my friend. This dealership is rude, overpriced, and should go bankrupt. Trust me dont go here. Go to another dealership like carl black. Or better yet Bob Frensly Jeep.

These people say that they want your business but whine and moan about how they're taking a loss to meet your price (which was a very reasonable offer.) One salesperson suggested that I sell some of my personal belongings in order to make up the difference in what I was offering and what they would offer. It was even suggested to me by a salesperson to commit tax fraud by purchasing the car with an address in another state where I used to live that had no sales tax. I was shopping during Breast Cancer Awareness month and the dealership was donating $$$ for every car sold (which is a good thing!) but the salesperson kept referring to this as an additional loss to them that I had to take into consideration with the price I was offering, suggesting that I had to make up the difference they were "loosing" donating money to fight Breast Cancer. They were very uninformed about the cars they were selling (didn't know the difference between a Subaru Forester and an Outback) and very unprofessional in the way they dealt with us. They kept asking for a "verbal commitment" (which means absolutely nothing) before they would "waste time" negotiating a lower price. Consequently they will not be receiving our business.

Should 30,000 mile tune-up cost $938.00?
Call the Clarksville or Franklin dealers and they both say that they charge $506 and $538 respectively. I bought my car from the Jim Reed dealer, have had body work done in their body shop, and used to be pleased with their service. But the past three experiences have been awful; I have been cheated by Jim Reed's subaru service dept. on more than one occasion now- they did unnecessary and expensive work on my car before, only to have the repair not fix the problem. Then to be quoted $938 for a 30,000 mile tune-up? NEVER AGAIN!

Went to Jim Reed Hyundia to buy a new car. Spent 5 hours waiting to sign papers. Thought we had a deal. We signed a contract and drove our new car home. 5 days later we are told we need to "resign" the contracts. Seems our trade "had issues" and they needed more $$. We refused, we had a deal. They got their car back and we took our truck home. They treated us like dirt. Don't do business with these crooks.

I bought a low mileage 1997 Subaru Legacy from an individual. I got a decent price and knew there may be some hidden issues. The seller indicated that a recent Carmax inspection revealed the car needed new front brakes. I noticed it was low on oil and realized it had oil leak issues. Again, I got a good deal and I was aware I'd need to put more $$ into it. Since Jim Reed deals with Subarus all the time, I took it there for an oil change and a "once over" to see what issues it may have. As expected, it had some oil leaks that needed repair. In addition however, the technician indicated that the rear brakes needed to be repalced. I questioned this as the seller had indicated it was the front braikes and was assured it was the rear brakes that needed to be replaced. I authorized the repair. After having to call multiple times to to follow up on the staus of the repair, I picked up the car and got the speech about what else needs to be done in the near future. I got in the car and pulled away and noticed that the inspection sheet was on the dash. At the first red light, I reviewed the sheet and low and behold, it indicated that the front brakes needed repair and the rear brakes were ok. I called as soon as I got to my office. The guy asked me to fax over the inspection sheet, since apparently they didn't kept their copy. He said he'd ask his repair guy about it and get back to me. Again after having to call back myself, he got back to me and said the repair guy made a mistake on the inspection sheet and it was indeed the rear brakes that needed to be replaced. He said his guy got confused. Call me crazy but the spots for him to mark the front and rear brake conditions were no where near each other. I don't see how he was confused. I don't trust that I got the real story. I'll be taking the car to another place to have the brakes inspected. If they tell me the front brakes should be replaced, I'll be going back for my front brakes for free!

We had researched the Ford Explorer and almost bought one from one of those car superstores but didn't due to the severe rust on the 3 year old vehicle.

Well, my husband and I went into Jim Reed two nights ago looking to buy a 2005 Ford Explorer we had seen advertised on their website. It was a very cold, rainy week night but we knew exactly which vehicle we wanted all we had to do is test drive it, smell it (a big thing to me) and give it a thorough check.

We pointed out to the friendly salesman the exact car we wanted, he drove it up and parked it so we could look at it. He turned off the car while we went inside and looked at the carfax report, etc. Well, we decided that we wanted to test drive it so our salesman went back out to start the Explorer up for us and it wouldn't crank. It sounded as if the battery was dead so he jumped it. We just dismissed it as the extreme temperatures (the high for the day was in the 20s) and the fact that it had been sitting out on the lot for a while. So we test drive it, smell it, check the under carriage, auto fax report perfect so we decided to buy it. Because we knew exactly which car we were going in for and were paying cash we were in and out of there in about hour which was really nice.

So we get the new car home and my husband goes out to start it the next day and the guess what, it won't start. So we figured that the battery was old and needed to be replaced. Luckily we had written into the "We Owe" that they would replace our battery for free if we had problems. So we took the car in that day and they replaced our old battery with a brand new one.

Hopefully this is the only thing that is wrong with it and it's not an electrical problem. Jim Reed treated very well, gave us a great deal and we would love to do business with them again.

Had them try to paint rear quarter panel of my Corvette. It's one color, silver. They did a poor match on the color and on top of that, it had an orange peel effect. Asked them to try to do better and they said they couldn't. I had to take it to Vogley and Tood who were very professional and came out perfect. I would never, ever use this place again to any body work, no matter how small. Manager very rude and combative.

I've heard of high pressure sales before but this was horrid. I was very honest when I got there about not being able to buy a car that day and that I was simply looking to decide what I liked. They didn't care. First thing they double teamed us. They had no idea how to interact with our son. Apparently they always send kids into this nasty little hole of a play area and thats that. Anyway, the car we wanted to look at they only had out in black. We said up front that we don't like black for cars since they are hard to keep clean. That only caused them to start pressuring us to take the black car. I kept thinking what does this matter...we aren't buying today and it says online that they have the color we like in back! So we let ourselves get pushed into a test drive. Really we allowed that because the lady that was talking to us was very knowledgeable. She filled out the papers and then sent us with the annoying guy who knew nothing about the cars. After the test drive which included annoying man being critical of my husband, the lady said that she had a brochure for us inside. We walked in and they immediately pointed our 18 mth old to the crusty play area and my husband away from me. After about 10 minutes of my husband getting the brochure the baby and I went searching for Hubby. When I found him the lady was trying to shove that black car down his throat. I got mad at this point and told them that we could not buy the car if we wanted to because we didn't know if our car was going to be considered totaled. Her response was that she would put off the downpayment. I said but if the car isn't totalled then we would have multiple payments to make so they said take it and then return it if your car isn't. I said but I am not driving since the accident (it stresses me out) and the guy proceeded to get MAD AT ME! What? Somehow we managed to get out of there but that didn't stop them from calling every day. Seriously! We did a buy a new car...at a different car lot.

Pros: one of the people knew the vehicle specs

Cons: they were just horrible to deal with
