My 3 year old daughter was transfered to vanderbilt childrens hospital. The hospital we left from had better patient care. Not one person spoke to my daughter throughout her experience, The nurse was rude saying that she had other patients to take care of and would leave my daughter in the ER if she did not take the medicine now. At the hospital we came from the DR's would talk to her and explained what was happening, here they never spoke to her and then spoke about the PAIN she would be going through right in front of her..... she is not stupid, she could hear these comments and of course was scared even more. Not to mention the 3 hours waiting in the waiting room of the ER when we were transferred from another hospital and the Doctor knew we were on the way. I felt like my daughter was a lab experiment so the residents could get more experience, we only saw the doctor once the procedure was about to be done. All in all i was mad once i found out that I could have gone to Centennial and received the same proceedure... from now on Vanderbilt Childrens will not be getting my donations nor my business if i can help it.

Vanderbilt Children's Hospital-Fancy Decor-too expensive and poor service
I took my son there many times. Sometimes it was okay, but sometimes not. I have waited hours upon hours in the clinic and ER. The treatment by workers is often rude. I once left my son who was in too much pain to walk at the front desk in a wheelchair, so I could go get my van and come pick him up. He was 8, and when I returned at 3:30am on a cold morning he had been pushed out the door and left by himself by a Vanderbilt staff person. That is just child endangerment and neglect!!!!!! I will also mention, I had to argue with the nurse to even get a wheelchair for him for the walk out. His knees were swollen to the size of cabbages.I will try to never go there again. This doesn't even began to deal with the nightmare of my co-payment, incorrect billing collection agency and all. All and all that was the final straw. Since then, I have been using General Hospital since then. I have had great experciences there.

Pros: Nice Decor

Cons: Poor treatment - too exspensive- too agressive collection process
