Let me give you some stats...Fort Knox Security is owned by Henry Weaver, the same person who owns Turfco Pest Control (another terrible company). They have been investigated by the state of Tennessee, and the BBB has well over 100 complaints against them. The BBB has issued multiple consumer alerts against these companies, but for some reason, they continue to be up and scamming.

My experience: I should have known when it took five tries (and over 8 hours of my life) for them to actually come to my house in the 2-3 hour time slot they promised and install my security system. I never had any problems once the security system was installed, but only because my home was never broken into. We had a phone line installed only because the system needed it. One day we discovered that the line wasn't working, we called the phone company and they said our line had been disconnected for months--Fort Knox never notified us of this and I truly believe that they were never monitoring our home. I was tempted to set off the alarm and see if they would even call! The fine print on the back of the contract basically says that they aren't promising ANYTHING--they may not even respond to your alarm! They do not call the police or send someone out. I don't know what they do exactly, besides take money every month.

Finally, after moving we had to cancel our contract (fine print on the back says you HAVE to send a letter of cancellation or else you will continue to be billed). They require payment in full for the remainder of the contract. After finally getting them to send our statement, we sent in a check. I was promised our account would no longer be billed. Surprise! It was billed and my cancellation check was cashed. This was no accident, if you read other reviews and the complaints on the BBB. I have spoken to someone today and she says they will credit my account back and I will no longer be billed. I am canceling my bank account and speaking to someone at the bank to ensure that Fort Knox will no longer get a dime from me. BE WARNED!

I should have known when the alarm tech arrived in a pickup truck hauling lawnmowers and he had grass in his hair and grass stains on his clothes. I just replaced several windows in my home and im trying to get Fort Knox security to replaced the sensors. You guessed it. NO RESPONSE I messed up and signed a 4 year contract. thats gonna be hell to break. Its not right that a company can take advantage of people and get away with it. I'm in the process of contacting the local news. Maybe the word can get out about this shitty company.

This is a routine maintenance item and $125 seemed steep to me, but they are entitled to charge what they want. However when I called back to cancel my service with them, I was told that I could not cancel until July even though my four year contract had been fulfilled over a year previously.I would probably have stayed with Ft. Knox for another five years but I have no intention of paying $125 for a battery replacement. I currently have an alarm company willing to get my alarm operational for a very minimal cost and a one year contract to stay with them.

I would suggest to anyone looking for an alarm company to check out the BBB before dealing with Ft. Knox.

No effect. They keep charging. On the phone the lady keeps saying, yes, we have cancelled your contact, then another invoice arrives. This has been going on almost two years now. Keep away from Fort Knox and Turfco garden and lawn.

We recently were customers of Fort Knox becuase the alarm pad in our home were from this company. This was a TERRIBLE MISTAKE on our part becuase we came home one day and our garage door entering our home was open and the alarm did not notify us. We were told we could cancel the service for a breech of contract and they did it. Well to our surprise 1 1/2 years later we get a bill for $400.00 stating our contract has to be paid per an audit that was completed on the account. I called so many times and begged to speak to a manager. Well they said that they would have one call us, but of course they never did. We are now calling daily and getting very rude representatives like Kaitlyn who says that a manager will tell me the same thing. They are so rude and a fraud. Please beware and go with a more reputable company who will give you peace of mind when you sleep at night or decide to go away from your home. FYI--When we were going to go to the company to see if we get better results, Kailtyn says they do not allow customers to come into the office because of current security situations. Yeah, I know they don't becuase they are doing people so wrong. Whoever heard of a business with lock doors? This is ludicrous!

I have called 6 times, been promised 6 return calls and have received none. This has been within a three month period. I would not recommend this company under any circumstances even if it mean doing without security service.

BEWARE!!! This Guy is a con. Also owns/operates TURFCO PEST CONTROL. Check out the reviews on that site as well. Most recently were featured in the news for excessive Better Bus complaints!!! Sadly, I have been paying monthly on home montering system that I have recently discovered wasn't sending signals to any monitoring co. Have attempted weekly calls to get problem resolved. HEATHER, Service/sales/ whatever else you have an issue with, manager is EXTREMELEY RUDE and of NO HELP. When asking questions will hang up mid conversation. Hank Weaver OWNER can never be reached. Be aware of state laws in regards to alarm monitoring contracts, These people are crooks DO YOUR HOMEWORK before entrusting your safety to them. You will only get out of your contract retaining legal help. Fort Knox will tell you to write a letter stating you want to discontinue service based on THEIR breech of contract yet they will continue to draw $ from your acct. I have never experienced such blatent conning and disregard for customer svc EVER. Pitiful....PURE FRAUD!!!!

I have sent them 3 letters to cancel my service; I called them multiple times, but they have failed to cancel the service and stop charging my CC. Check with better bus1ness bureau should you not believe this site for all the complaints filed against Fort Knox.

Fort Knox security is awesome; those guys installed a security system in my new home through the builder and by the time I had moved in I had spoken with them probably five times and everything was working and it was perfect. They called me a few weeks before closing to advise me on the discounts of getting monitoring of my alarm system. No one had ever told me that my homeowner?s insurance company would give me a discount for having the system monitored.

If you don't know about pushy security sales people you don't want to ever meet one. When you buy a new home you get scared to open your door because of them and they don't stop when they see the sign in the yard that has the other companies name on it either.

The fact that they called before closing saved me 10% on my homeowner?s policy and I'm glad they called when they did and not after I closed. When I needed to make an appointment after I moved in to get surround sound speakers hooked up they were extremely polite in setting up the appointment, calling me the morning before the appointment, and called again an hour before the guy arrived and I kept getting the feeling that they really cared.

You could just tell that they are people that may have had an experience or two of setting at home waiting on a service technician when it was the last thing you wanted to be doing.

I've had ADT and there is a world of difference; Fort Knox is a world better. You find out real fast that there are people on the other end of the phone that want to help and they will do anything you ask.

We cancelled our service in June of 2007. However, they continued to charge our bank card every month through March 2008. We attempted NUMEROUS calls each month and every time they either said they are looking into it and that they would call us back the next day, or they would say that they will stop payment and repay us. NOBODY ever called us back and they did not stop charging us. We now call every day. And every day, all they say is "someone will have to call you back". And nobody ever calls back. This has gone on for 9 months, they owe us hundreds of dollars. This is terrible. Do not use their service.

This organization has received 12 of my telephone requests that someone contact me. I have received twelve promises that someone would call me back. I am still waiting. Consequently, I stopped paying these people, and even that did not prompt a call. I am concerned that such a non-responsive organization is in charge of my security!.

Pros: Seem to be average in security response.

Cons: I cannot seem to get a return call to clarify the current charges, which are almost double the charges for which I contracted.
