My contract with Judy Jones is over the end of this month. We live out of state. She has stopped all communications with us. We never received the last months rent or any of our security and fees back from her. anyone know of a good attorney in the area so we can call to file suit? I am sure they all know Judy Jones from what I have read here

In my opinion, Judy Jones is a liar and a thief. She stole my security deposit after several promises to return it. I completed the items listed on the stupid check list and was ripped off. I could never get through to her on the phone after multiple attempts. There was always some excuse. Pitiful customer service.

To start, we moved in on the 13th of the month and our rent was not prorated. So, they had an extra 2 weeks to get the place ready before we moved in. Once we got there we noticed that more than half the window screens were missing, one of the tubs leaked, the other tub's shower head was missing, neither tubs had shower rods, one toilet didnt flush right, and they "couldn't find" the garage door opener. The bathroom issues were fixed and they promised to get our garage door opener within the week or so. I also asked if the screens could be replaced. As far as the screens, we were told tough luck, that they would not be replacing them. But, we were reassured that we would get the garage door opener. We have now been here going on 6 months and have yet to see a garage door opener. But, every month when Im in to pay rent they assure me it's coming. You are also not given an emergency maintenance number. So if something goes wrong on the weekend or after 4 pm, you're out of luck. Needless to say, we will NOT be renewing our lease.

BEWARE OF JUDY JONES!!!

We used Judy Jones of The Realty Store and Great Smoky Investments to manage our rental properties. Rents and monthly statements were paid late or not at all. After numerous management issues, we cancelled our contract and sued. We won and were awarded a judgment. It has been over a year now and we are still waiting for payment of the security deposits that were supposed to be held in a separate escrow account per TN law.

This company has a con artist named Judy Jones in charge of rentals and they can not be trusted with your deposit. Judy will do everything she can including but not limited to lying, avoiding you, and passing blame to avoid paying you what you are owed.

I rented from them for almost 2yrs and I always made my payments on time and I was an overall excellent tenant. Upon moving out I deep cleaned the house, hired a carpet cleaner and followed the check list they have posted on their website regarding what I must do to recieve my deposit back upon moving out. They sent one of their realtors out to do a walkthrough and she signed off on everything and even made the comment, "This is the cleanest house I have ever seen a tenant have!" A few days later I recieved a letter stating I would recieve my deposit in full.

However after 45 days, which is the maximum time stated in the contract, I still had recieved nothing. I proceeded to call Judy for days but mysteriously she was always out or in a meeting. When I finally did speak with her she said the check had been mailed over 14 days prior and when I told her well I dont have it she became frustrated and said well I mailed it to your old house. To which I replied why would you mail a check to a house you know I dont live at, the house she refered to was the house i rented from them, and besides I have my mail forwarded and you already sent me a letter saying I was getting my deposit. At this time she hung up on me and for the following few days she refused to take my calls. Finally I was contacted and informed that she needed a copy of the carpet cleaning receipt, which I already had given her, before she could write me another check and that she couldn't write me another one for 10 more days.

In the end I recieved my check over 60 days after moving out and they had deducted the fee to supposedly cancel the first check which I dont believe to ever have been sent.
